Fun Fact: King Piccolo’s actor said he enjoyed his role and years later went on to voice Zamasu in the English Dub of DragonBall Super.

Ok so lemme tell you something, in the original show and manga, Goku is basically a retarded 10 year old who's been living in the woods for the past few years cause he went great ape and squished Gohan (grandpa gohan, not his kid gohan) He's just really stupid, and he meets Chi Chi when he goes to get the dragon ball that Chi Chi's dad, the Ox King has. Chi Chi tries to fight him, and chi chi is also 10 or so, and she loses. Then Goku taps on her vagina to see if she was a girl. Skip forward to when Goku is 18, and he enters the world martial arts tournament and fights her, not realizing its her, beats her in the match, then she tells him who she is, and then he's like, "oh yeah, you're a pretty lady and I promised to marry you at some point and then just ran off. Oh, and you love me? Cool. Let's get hitched." Then we skip to the beginning of DBZ and it turns out he has a kid now. But does not know the meaning of the word sex. So again, he's still kinda retarded. He got dropped on his head as a baby so it makes some sense, but still. Not exactly a good relationship model.

This is literally my first look in the movie, I HATE IT.
It's like a poorly written fanfiction by a twelve year old who saw the characters on a poster and decided to use them.
Actually, Goku was 16 when he defeated King Piccolo. If anything, he should look older in the manga. Not that this justifies this horrid shit stain of a movie in any regard, but yeah.
Edit: to elaborate, Goku defeated King Piccolo on May 9th, Age 753, and was born sometime in Age 736. If he was born early in the year, he might have even been 17 by then. Also, it should be noted that while in the manga he was born in Age 736, "Bardock: Father of Goku" implies that he was born in Age 737 (he was a newborn when Planet Vegeta was destroyed), which would make him 15-16 by the defeat of Piccolo.

even Chan was on-board with that idea because he also loves both the story and character.
The best opportunity for that to happen was to make Dragon Ball GT (1996 - 97) as a live-action series instead of an anime.
Just so that Leonardo DiCaprio could also play the role of Trunks.

But the narrator included that sin during the segment of the video in which he did NOT consider the original source material. That said, that fantasy part doesn't seem all-too unreasonable even without considering Goku's actual nature, since strawberries seem to be often paired together with sensuality.

The 1 great thing about this movie, was it finally got me to watch the Dragon Ball Series, because I got into the series with Dragon Ball Z and was content with that and I'm happy I watched Dragon Ball now.
I deadass respect tf out of the fact that they actually researched the original Dragon Ball manga to point out the inconsistencies of this movie. I'm glad they pleased us Dragon Ball fans by doing this.

I've watched this so many times and realized something interesting. Instead of Goku, what if they made it to Gohan's story after Cell Saga. It makes sense: highschool life, ig his crush is Videl, idk how they would introduce Buu. idk Gohan just seems like that type of an awkward teenager, like in the actual anime.

The movie was 100 mins ( or 6000 sec) long and there were over 9000 mistakes and I completely agree with it. Zeno did a great job erasing the other 6 universes because one of them had this evolution goku

Chichi literally tricked Goku into marrying her in the anime / manga. Goku didn't give a shit about her. He cared about kicking ass and eating foods, and that's about it.
That is not ENTIRELY true, He obviously liked her, but was too stupid/ignorant to actually even know what dating is, let alone what marriage is. Remember, when she explains it too him, HE still goes through with it.
William B In Dragon Ball, he didn't know what marriage was at all because he was a little kid, but he agreed to it anyway. Years later, she tracked him down and was basically like "you agreed to marry me!" and he was like "I did? Oh ok." He didn't know what he was doing at all. He liked her in the sense that he saw her as a friend, but when they were kids she had a crush on him and he didn't (and probably still doesn't) know what a crush is. The only reason he went through with it was because he didn't want to break his promise lol

19:25 this was made over 9 years ago so I'd understand if they say this since Super wasn't out. In DBS, Goku tries to fight Universe 6's assassin Hit, but dies trying. However, before he did, he shot a ki blast up into the air. Once it came back down, it hit goku which revived him.
This was the only movie I have EVER gotten my money back for. The guy at the counter warned me. I said Nah, man its DBZ I HAVE to watch it. I went into a theater of 3 people. When I walked out and he had my money sitting on the counter for me.

If Goku treated everything like "one big fight", what would be your reaction? Cause frankly the only times when Goku acts "smart", is when he thinks about fighting.
This movie could have worked, if... Goku had no idea who he really was, and his grandpa wanted to keep that from him. To protect him from his savage past.. Then, having him go to school would have made sense, not showing us their training before hand, and when Goku gets into a fight, he shows off unique abilities that get unlocked because he was in a fight or flight scenario and his natural instincts kicked in. When grandpa dies, and he meets Bulma they can go to Master R. Island, Master R. knowing Grandpa Gohan can explain Goku's Ape origins and powers, the stuff Grandpa Gohan knew at least, and we could have went from there. Just saying, they could have at least saved that mistake had they gone that route.
