Ordered one and i am between the first 50 who put a preorder and after chasing my order for few days, this is the response i get: "Falcon 40 w machine is a new item , we don't have stock in UK warehouse , so can only ship it from China, when you ordered it , there should have the tip said it will be shipped from China, and be delivered in 6-9 days is impossible, at least will take about 15 days .
The free honey comb and the roller are also out of stock now , the shipment will be delayed until 18th July to end of July ,please understand."
Price for india please
Man I wish I could justify buying one of these.
That's a sweet machine. Would be very handy for a small craft business.
Still in the process of setting up my workshop, but I think this is the one I'm going with. Awesome review, thank you!
What speed/power settings do you use for 1/2” ply?
Fantastic review, dude! What a heck of a machine!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Great job on the video. I'm getting closer and closer to purchasing the Falcon 2 40W and this video definitely help push me in that direction.
1700 might be a lot of money but honestly for what this thing can do it's a steal, I can't believe these things cut 1/2in plywood in one pass, that's crazy
I'm gonna go throw rocks at my CNC router.
Very impressive!
Hi,
How much noise does this machine generate in relation to other 40w machines that you may have reviewed and be familiar with ?
Wanting to keep My neighbours happy, currently using atomstack x30 which is fine as the neighbours dont hear it running
This machine looks a beast, just concerned about noise levels
What speed and power settings did you use for that 1/2in plywood cut?
So how does this work with expensive woods such as red oak walnut white oak cherry etc. Can you just burn designs. Would it work with half logs with flat tops.
What are the cutting dimensions? Probably going to replace my CNC router with this engraver.
Thank you for doing an excellent job. Next question I have can you add the extension kit to it to make it longer like you can on some other lasers I have ORTUR Master 3 they seem to work very good. I have 2 CREALITY 3-D printers. I like the idea of the 40 W versus the 20 W and I like the idea that you can bring it down to 22 W that is pretty cool. But the most important thing is that extension kit for larger projects is there an option for that? I did not see it on their website at all like on some of the other ones such as ORTUR.
How does it to engraving metal through paint, powdercoat, anodizing. Can it cut thin metals as well? What sizes?
I orderd an Ikier laser but it was missing one piece and one of the side rails had a metal rod jammed in between the belt. So im thiof sending it back and getting this one
Friggin lasers are Friggin awesome I need one of those Friggin awesome lasers.
I almost bought one of those big 50 watt Co2 lasers a few years back when they were under 1K but I kept putting it off till they quadrupled in price and I said Uh no.
Thanks for the review. Do not look at laser with remaining good eye. Not trying to be funny. I always put my open frame laser behind a shield. Definitely have decent protective eyewear at the right wavelength on at all times because sometimes, you have to watch the progress.
Is there a tumbler attachment that creality makes or aftermarket one that would work?
Great video
I found another laser cutter iKier K1 Pro Max 48W, which one is better?
Awesome review, I'm really impressed with this machine.
Still waiting for the Star Wars AT-AT side table in the style of the corgi 😏
Have you tried cutting sheet metal?
Burn baby burn disc...... 🔥
Can you use the precise function to engrave as well?
I need a 20w to 40w laser cutter that has a minimum cutting area of 18" x 36". Cutting mostly 1/16" to 1/4" x 4" x 36" balsa sheets and birch ply up to 3/8". Can this machine be expanded or bought to that size? Thanks
Is it possible to engrave bare aluminum with this? just a few thou deep
How is it with cutting acrylic?
Can you laser engrave a 40 oz Stanley tumbler top to bottom and all the way around the tumbler
Does this model engrave on transparent acrylic?
do you prefer the creality over the xtool?
Everything is very nice, but how about tech support, or support in general?..
By any chance. Do you know how to disable Fire alarm completely. I'm working outside and every time sun comes out Fire alarm triggered and it stopes working. It creates a lot of hassle for me. Please, help🙏
I've just got one of these, Loved the video would have been nice to see the settings you had set at each part of the project
The machine comes with recommended settings for each material type. That's what I used.
Was It Just Me But Dit Falcon Flex A Little Bit When Picking Up One Side To Show The Cutting Tray Time Stamp 4:20 Xtool Looks More Rigid.
Can it cut aluminium?
I have over researched this to death, and had selected the Atezr. Until I just found this one. Not sure why it did not appear in my researching. How have you found this compare with the Atezr L2 36W, other than the difference in 4 watts.
Well I haven't used that one so can't say.
What are the thickest bass wood (not balsa) sheets you'd recommend?
No idea. The 1/4" construction grade plywood I cut with ease. The 1/2" Baltic birch would recommend 2 passes instead of 1.
@@DIYBuilds Hey! Awesome, thank you for the feedback! I am from the architectural side of the industry and for modeling we used bass wood with our laser cutters in school. I am giving the Falcon 2 serious consideration to add to my available services for the small firm I help manage at the moment. Would love to see a demonstration with bass wood or if you know of anyone that might work with it and the F2. Regards!
It's justification time......do you really need one of these or are just wowed by the ability to cut out thicker wood patterns for all of the projects you have in mind.
if you want to go bigger, for say furniture making, the Skulpfun model can have the frame extended to give a really big format without breaking the bank.......this Creality model's frame is fixed so it's only able to cut within the frame format.
Great Video. Do you have a link for the hood/encloser?
No but if your interested in this machine I think they just came out with a perminate Enclosure unit or its coming out soon.
@@DIYBuildsAnd what software do you use to create your g code? Thanks.
Light burn.
Is this compatible with LightBurn?
Yes
Why are metric system users so fond of describing lengths in mm? “15,000 mm/min” = 15 meters/minute. If the so-called advantage of the system is the ease of switching units, why the adherence to mm? Just say meters. Or cm. I don’t get it.
The laser is sweet though. Nice video
Because you like to use scientific method (powers of 3). Using meters will not be precise enough, having to always talk in decimals. Mm you can use across tool size, feed rate, dimensions without any crazy numbers. 15.000 is very rare to have something in this order of magnitude.
So the exception proves the rule that in 99% cases using mm accross the whole process is most useful
Not sure what you are talking about. I have an Aufero and you can just frame from light burn. I do it every time
The point is i dont need a laptop with this unit.
@@DIYBuilds And no internet required! *cough*glowforge*cough*
Do you have any experience with cutting carbon fiber material with this machine?
Nope
Can it cut acrylic?
Black I think
What’s the final price if I preorder for $500 discount voucher?
Sorry I didn’t read😅 $1299
👍👍👍
Discount code didn't work through the Canadian Shop at Creality.
Sorry to hear. The only code they gave me was FN40DIYB
@@DIYBuilds Not a biggie. Still looking forward to getting the unit.
Is a FALCON
Bet that is a Falcon and not really at Eagle..... just guessing.
I bet it's a blue Jay.
