The lifted Tacoma looks like Michael J. Fox's truck in Back to the Future.
If it would’ve been a extended cab lift kit and wheels then it would look like the back to the future truck and m/t as well
That’s gonna be my new tire size & wheel offset👀🛞🔥 Westcott did an amazing job making this first lifted Tacoma look like a beast🥩
What’s up? Lol
the 4runner wont have as much poke as this set up just fyi
width of wheel?
method17s? the wheel width would be 8-9inch this 0 offset@@niteranger6376
I have a 2015 2wd TRD Offroad Tundra, and a 4x4 2024 4wd TRD Offroad Tacoma. I've regretted having the 2wd on the Tundra the entire time I've had it. Just having a TRD offroad that was 4x2 was bad enough, because without 4wd anything offroad is just stressful, but it LOOKS so capable. It's been great for pulling my boat, which is why I bought it. But I can't imagine having lifted it and gone all in on the poser look.
Great video guys! Thank you for the shout out and love!🙏
You guys killed it on the design features of this truck. Gorgeous truck with a great presence. Hats off on a fantastic build
Been looking to get back into a truck. I'm really thinking of getting the Tacoma. Westcott did an awesome job with the mods. 🤞
Taco looks great.
Beautiful Tacoma .
I can’t wait to see what you do with your build!💯
Excited to see what you"ll do with your TACO. What wrap do you have in mind?
I knew that you would be done with that air dam pretty quickly. It already looks much better.
Good looking Taco.
Amazing truck. Keep up the great work. The content you upload is top notch. 😁😎👍🏻.
I’m also eyeing a Tacoma for this year. Either a 2023 Trail Edition or 2024 Trd Off-road in Solar Octane.
i took this exact truck up to the top lot to look at the TRD sport. Mine should be in soon.
4x2 SR is $38K? It's your money but why not 4x4 at least? I mean there are mountains around Temecula where you can wheel.
I have a 3rd gen 4x2 Tacoma Sport, and I think it is good buy if you will lift the truck and don't want to deal with the Needle Bearing and other issues that come with the lifting. It's also cheaper ;)
I like how they avoided how much more the rims and life was.
@@apexi350z Mine is 07 4x4 sport(only regret is not getting an Offroad with rear locker) with 306K miles. Lifted and ECGS needle bearing installed at around 120K, and zero issue since. I never thought I would go off pavement but once you go off road you will know what you been missing out. 4x4 Tacoma can take you where cars can't go, and gives you confidence in snow/heavy rain. Well worth an extra $.
if you pause at a certain point in the vid you can see the 55k asking price from the dealer...insane@@TerryMyersLife
Wow wow amazing Tacoma 👍🇺🇸
When you read the window sticker for 38,750 I about choked. I thought that was for the lifted version. I would buy that in a heartbeat.
do you think i can fit the same wheel and tire size with a 1.5 inch level?
Sick vlog
So in order to install these 285’s do we have to install lifts or no ?
Love the truck specially in that underground color. Question, since they take regular fuel, did you top off with premium? The $71.38 to fill up was kinda high.
California
@@redacted2647 Damn I thought the national average was lower, here in NYC Regular fuel is around $3.30
@@FlexRod I'm an exapt American in the Philippines 1 gallon of regular gas is $5.00 dollars, its getting expensive here going back home in May 2024.
I like Toyotas I had a 2013 Toyota Corolla fully loaded it was a nice machine but I switched to Ford I have a 2015 F150 lariat I like it a lot
Lifting a 2 wheel drive? wow, go celebrate that idea with a non alcoholic beer 🍺
Agreed, as someone who lives in Canada with icy conditions 8 months outa the year I can’t believe people even buy 2 wheel drive trucks
Lol you sir win the internet today 🤣
Oh no, lifting a non 4x4! Get over it.
@@sh_twelearnoverlanding saw you driving, couldn’t miss your rainbow flag
You couldn’t afford it anyway lmfao
Those are +20mm offset per Westcott's video. 0mm would poke another inch!
The set with +25 offset was the second set they had installed toward the end of the video. Those were the method 305 double blacks. The set that was sent back to the dealership with the truck is a 0 offset
Looks cool.. unfortunately you’d struggle making it up your driveway if there’s a half inch of snow on the ground.
It a 4x2 work truck not meant for off road why would anyone want it lifted with big tires to decrease their MPG?
I have a 2WD 2016 Base Canyon, and I put 286/65R18 Toyo Open Country A/T III tires on the back for extra traction on gravel and dirt. On the front, I have 235/65R18 Toyo Open Country H/T II tires for better cornering. I will be installing a prerunner suspension, which requires a small lift because every spring, the city is full of huge potholes that destroy your suspension. Even in off-road racing, when a 2WD and 4x4 go head-to-head, the 2WD is faster on open ground, but the 4x4 has the advantage when climbing rocks. czcams.com/video/Ur9AbW3v6Uw/video.htmlsi=BST3-cREdQK40qpT
Much better without the shovel on the front.
Looks mean 👍🏼
Those 4C turbos gonna work alot harder with bigger tires.
You driven one?
Want to see the first 2024 lowered Tacoma
I wish they kept the 21 gal. fuel tank like the 3rd gens. Once you add big tires and extra weight the range really starts to suffer.
whats the price for that truck after all those upgrades ?
1 million dollars 😅
@@OscarGonzalez-fc6ru Very cheap maybe i can lift my oversized wife.
That Tacoma at the dealership was looking proper! I'm sure yours will be better once done. Curious on what wrap color you'll choose.
Dude you need Trailhunter or TRD pro🤘
I'm staying in Corona when this came up on my feed...westcott designs is 20 minutes from my house... coincidental?
Beautiful truck can’t deny that, but seriously a 2WD, what was Toyota thinking about, definitely who ever purchase this will wear a face mask driving alone.
Looks great, but should only be done on a 4x4!
Would totally buy thay for 38
shoooo! 71 bucks for 15 gallons. I ain't ever complaining about gas again.
I bought a certified 22 Frontier couple months ago. I love it didn’t buy a Tacoma because I work for a living.
The newer frontiers seem pretty nice. The new transmission alone made it seem very tempting over the 3rd gen tacoma.
I want to see this truck as a 2wd long travel prerunner 👌🏼 not lifted
Tires are wrapped around wheels , not the other way around.
Is this a another lease!
Of course silly. 😃
I was going to ask the same lol
Hmmm, why would a 4 x 2 need rock sliders?
Rock sliders are a great way to protect your truck from door dings in a parking lot. Some people drive 2WD trucks on dirt trails, and it is the best way to protect the body from damage. czcams.com/video/vxId5HQsI6M/video.htmlsi=FoUgKkz3HQ4ajWka
Damnnnnnn 👍
Salesman should make a CZcams channel
Oh, the Poser package on this one. At least you don't have to worry about that pesky ADD breaking. Lol...
He can't see over the dash. Be careful!
If you want to kill your mileage and power, strain your suspension and drivetrain and void your warranty do these mods.
Without that chin taco look great
Did that add another $10-$15K to the already overpriced sticker?
pAvEmEnT PriNCeSs
not sure why they even make a 2 wheel drive truck.......
You got the Boo-Boo model, you should’ve been patient and gotten an I-Force Max version!
Why spend money lifting this, with roof rack for a 2 wheel drive? It doesn’t make sense to me.
All this on a 2 wheel drive
Dennys spatula hahahahahahah
thats pretty much pre-pandemic prices , very nice
Its a fairly low specced 4x2 I would hope its that low.
I really wish the rims were black. Chrome rims just remind me if the 90's....😅
I won't buy anything with a 4 cylinder. Especially not since we've already seen them breaking 😅
Where do I get my lifted, overland truck in ..............what?.............2-wheel drive?????????? Yep, sticker verifies this truck is 2-wheel drive.
a 2wheel drive truck has to be the most useless vehicle ( I live in Canada) who’s seriously considering buying one
Lol, you're wrong. Folks have been using 4x2 trucks just fine in ice, snow, and mud for decades.
Maybe someone who lives where they can wear shorts and t-shirts all year round.
@@RedNeck_Zeus yeah that's great and all if you got chains or the right tires but he's not wrong, if you live in those types of regions you are missing out on the capabilities of a 4x4. It's not even comparable. Especially for the minor price difference.
2 words. North Carolina
My dad bought a 4 cylinder 4x2 taco. He loves it and uses the bed to haul weekly. He lives in FL hah
4x2 WTF you don’t need those rock sliders what a waste of money I thought it was a TRD Off-road 👎🏾love Toyota and I own a 2022 4Runner TRD off road premium with Westcott design rock sliders, ladder and I paid $2,100 for them saved some money did my own lift but, your choice beautiful trucks Go Toyota 🤙🏾
A lift on a 2wd, makes no damn sense at all.
What genius at Toyota decided that the most popular offroad truck that goes on long overland trips where there are no gas stations should only have an 18 gal tank…sticking to the true 250 mile range ethos of Toyota, big bummer.
2wd
a lifted and big tire tacoma that is only a 2 wheel drive?.....WHY?well, i guess if you accepted a four banger motor, you will accept anything.
Westcott did a nice job with the fab work… unfortunately the new Tacoma design is FCUKING hideous
Too much poke.
Zero offset.
Lifted 2 wheel…, F NO!
A 100k Toyota?.......perfect......😆
Still think 3rd gen and older are better.
I think so to besides the 6 speed transmission and high revving v6 in the 3rd gen. The 8 speed and turbo seem cool and put out great power, I just dont trust that it will be as reliable.
Lift lifts on 2wheel drive truck is a waste
What's a lift lift? 🤔
It's NOT a air dam. It's a snow plow!
hahaha..... everyone keeps saying it looks nice, but lets be real. doesn't compare to the 3rd gen!!
That screen looks so stupid
I won’t be watching anymore this disappointed me in the baby truck the tundra was on the edge
Bronze wheels would’ve looked better
2x4 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
A roof rack, yuck!
Still looks like Chevy, I’ll keep my third gen
That’s a terrible looking lifted Tacoma. Those wheels aren’t what I would’ve put at all.
All Those air dams from the new tacos will be at the recycle ♻️ plant most owners will remove that ugly thing what was Toyota thinking there gonna have piles and piles at parts warehouse no one will buy them 😂😂😂
That's lifted ? OK
Preload collar lift…doesn’t need much..most want a comfortable ride on the road while still gaining more clearance off-roading
@@dms14you are damn right, a 6 inch lift ain’t needed 😭
Is the speedometer recalibrated?
@@elmercortez65886 inch lifts look dumb
4x2? yuck lol
Beings your not a real off roader why did you not get this poser mobile?
2wd lifted truck😂
2wd….. what a waste…..
These new tacomas are fugly . Gen 3 looks way better . The new ones look cheap and plasticy
Way over priced!!
These new Tacomas are seriously hideous. Exterior design is utter trash & embarrassing for such a well respected model under the Toyota umbrella.
Right?! This new bastardization of the Tacoma makes the 2016-2023 Tacomas look that much better. Toyota FUCT up this Tacoma generation
You selling that as a used truck? You clowns were joyriding in it.
