In this video, Andy begins the extensive restoration of the stock from the Gewehr 41 (W). In Part 1, the black paint is stripped off of the stock and a comb is grafted onto the butt.

Looking good. Denatured alcohol works well also for dirt and oil. Good job with the Dowling. Remember they were repaired in the field during the war. You're just 75 years behind lol
