@Ruhi...! listening songs are prohibited cos of so many reasons
1: most of the songs will not only keep u away from allah and ibadat, but it will lead u away also and will waste ur time.
Which is truly not allowed in islam
2:- most of the songs are based on lie and that are far far away from reality so According to sharia telling, listening alie and believing alie is gunnah means sin
3:- most of the songs are sung for gf and bf which keep u again away from reality and right path.
4: in some songs singer says to his love that u r my God and extra and singers just cross the line
But there is one thing more some scholar says it is mubbah which means it is up to u wether u listen or not
But if anything which lead u away from allah and Islam is harram.
Secondly u talked about house work ...
Doing house work is ibadat cos u serve ur self and ur family so that can't keep u away from allah if you believe it is ibadat with right intentions and secondly u don't have any choice of not to do ur house work doing that is your compulsion, so y it is good to don't say doing house work also can be harram.
But listening song is not ur compulsion so y I just suggest it is good to be away from listening such songs which I mentioned above
Instead of that listening of recitation of Holy quran, hamd, naht and positive songs will be more better.

    • @biotechemboy
      @biotechemboy Před 2 lety +354

Human being is capable of all levels of talents from one extreme to another. Just because a human also has the capability to kill that does NOT mean the human should then be allowed to do so. Junaid Jamshed was a talented musician and pursued music for years. When he realized the truth, he abandoned his musical career, obviously he endured a lot of struggle, but also found a way to use his musical talents by singing hymns (nasheeds) on islam without the use of musical instruments and dancers. This was over and above his pursuit of his new profession as a retail business man.

No!! Then that talent is useless, same thing if you dance and sing very well what does it mean for your creator?? It's useless, may be it is good for people but not for creator

Exactly, if suppose the music is about Allah and talking good about him and does not contains any bad words, then will it be still haraam? Also women are more strictly prohibited to do such things as they say it exposes them and could create indecent feeling for other men listening to her. But, here's the thing, if a man sings or recites Qur'an and has a beautiful voice, and everyone is listening to him, won't it expose him, make stranger women and create indecent feeling in women for him? Now, is it his fault for singing or its the woman's fault feeling indecent about him.

Forms of art like music, dance, painting, etc are precious gifts from the Almighty.... Openness of one's mind.... Surely if it is used with wrong intention, it must not be consumed but most of the ancient forms of dances were performed in a very decent way and there is no question of haram or halal.... The Almighty wants his children to bloom and not stay in a shell for their entire life i believe.... And there are various ways of worshipping him... scientifically, i found another aspect. i dont know if that happens to others. when i hear a song, like when i just happen to sail by someone else playing something on their stereo, and i want to recall what it was and i cant, i am confident that it will play later in the day or few days later and wala, it does. whatever you hear stores into your subconscious, does what it does, and then it just comes to your conscious memory sometimes later. this is how subliminal communication works. also, and this happens most of the times that when i hear a song and when sometimes i do, it irritates me by playing into my conscious memory forcing me to rhyme it. so i avoid it now, completely.
on the other hand when i listen to the Quran, it too plays, but then that feeling is so much better and rewarding. i spend my day well and despite being tempted to do things it is easy not to give in to the urge. Works for me :)

Always ask yourself this question, does music play in your mind while you are performing salah? And then again ask yourself this, what if that was your last salah performed? I've been listening to all sorts of music since a young age, and I noticed I'd always have music or tunes playing in the back of my mind sometimes for days at a time, regardless of how pure and innocent the song is. Sometimes a "beautiful" song would even make me slightly depressed, or remind me of things from my past. It is a huge distraction, at least for me. Music is all around us though, whether it be on video clips, in stores, radio, so it's almost impossible to completely cut it out, but I try to listen as little as possible. It was extremely hard for me to do, but I removed all music from my phone. This is just my opinion.

I am a Muslim and I am a *DEDICATED* classical guitarist.
I cannot subscribe to vague teachings that supposedly "prohibit" music.
Music is absolutely just *ORGANISED SOUND*
To declare that "prohibited" is quite comical.
To declare that "music takes you away from God", is ridiculous, (because so many other halal things can do that too).
To prove my point, I'm going to list some things that can pull you away from God, so perhaps we need to declare all of them "prohibited" also.
Women can take you away from God.
Men can take you away from God.
Food can take you away from God.
Your studies can take you away from God.
Jobs and careers can take you away from God.
Your mind can take you away from God.
Feelings can take you away from God.
Relationships can take you away from God.
*There are many other things I could list, but lets just start there*
Lets declare all of the above things *haram/prohibited*

It is about different interpretation with Islam. It is more right to say music and dance is discouraged in Islam. Islamic golden age was one of best of music industry, so also muslim contribution in musical world is very considerable. But specially the morden form of music and dance industry which is completely prohibited in Islam which includes nudity, normalisation of drugs, and projects homosexuality and casual sex, such things are completely haram in Islam. No doubt on that. So some muslims to follow Islam and Sharia completely boycott musics and dances to avoid being diverted from Allah.

If one's life can found peace, satisfaction, happiness without depending on them and only for god purpose purely that's well, good, one's right. Life is multi layered as one can see, feel in everything, everywhere. The outer skin covered the inner part, the body covered heart, brain a home for the soul. When you see a kindergarten teacher will be more occupied with music, instrument for the kids to make the more living, fun encouragement for the students compare to the higher aged classroom more with paper, theory, practical, assignment, reports so and so. Exactly! Dr Naik's "reasons" for music being "prohibited" is nonsensical. In the absence of *CLEAR* evidence for the so-called "prohibition" on music, his reasons sound far fetched. If anybody wants to use a hadith to justify "prohibition" of music, then the said hadith needs to have acceptance and agreement from the majority of scholars of the different schools. Better still, the prohibitors need to give us a *CLEAR VERSE* from Al Quran, not a verse which they "tafsir and re-tafsir" to accommodate their desperate need to prohibit music.
Does anybody have *REAL EVIDENCE* against the permissibility of music? And I mean a real verse that outright prohibits music, not a verse to which you attach a long-winded personal tafsir.

The music taking people away from Allah argument feels bullshit to me tbh. Music is a way of celebrating life, either by making merry, or expressing sorrow, among other things. If emotions were created by God, the materials from which instruments were made are created by God, our voice was created by God - then by synchronizing all the three we're essentially celebrating God's creation and therefore him. By reveling in what he has laid out for our benefit, we're expressing our gratitude. In fact, by denying ourselves of worldly pleasures, we're forgetting God.

So how can they or the hadees (which he's referring) concluded that something is haram or halal. Hadees means translation nd brief explanation of quran but when the quran doesn't Utter a single word about music how did they translate or describe it???

But yeah... It doesn't matter our point is still considerable...

    From my perspective, I’ve my own reasoning whether it be true or not;
Music wasn’t allowed solely for one reason (imho). Quran was learnt by heart at the time of our prophet pbuh, majority knew quran word by word. Then it was made to book under the ruler Uthman.
Since Quran was big, whenever someone hears music you will taken to different world and you will forget the words of Allah swt. Quran had to be preserved for future generations, that’s why not to get confused since it wasn’t written in a book form, it was suggested music wasn’t allowed
Edit: I have read somewhere (although logically I understand it to be true), all music played in different frequency. Different frequencies influence us in a various way. There’re Zen music that can make you sleep, some sad songs make you feel down etc.. We should not play with our feelings and stay conscious. That’s better for humans, logically, mentally, physically, spiritually and all.
This is better explanation than mine, because it’s scientific.
