When you go to bed, put out your lights, for the mischief-doer (i.e. the rat) may drag away the wick of the candle and burn the dwellers of the house." Ata said, "The devils." (instead of the Jinns).
Hadith - Sunan of Abu Dawood, Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri
Muhammad ibn AbuYahya said that his father told that he and his companion went to AbuSa'id al-Khudri to pay a sick visit to him. He said: Then we came out from him and met a companion of ours who wanted to go to him. We went ahead and sat in the mosque. He then came back and told us that he heard AbuSa'id al-Khudri say: The Apostle of Allah said: Some snakes are jinn; so when anyone sees one of them in his house, he should give it a warning three times. If it return (after that), he should kill it, for it is a devil.
Hadith - Al-Muwatta 54.33
...The snake stirred on the end of the spear and the youth fell dead. No one knew which of them died first, the snake or the youth. That was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah said, "There are jinn in Madina who have become muslim. When you see one of them, call out to it for three days. If it appears after that, then kill it, for it is a shaytan." "'

This is because your Lord would not destroy the (populations of) towns for their wrongdoing (i.e. associating others in worship along with Allâh) while their people were unaware (so the Messengers were sent).

I think you misunderstood my opinion.....Firstly I think Doctor Naiks' objective is to educate Non Muslims and get Non Muslims to accept the true and correct faith, which is Islam. it isnt true for everyone. i am muslim and i am what doktor described as social drinker-i drink few beers while watching a game with my friends or few shots while on someones birthday and i have been doing it for 10 years and i never got drunk to the point that i dont know what i am doing and i never became "drinker"

For those on their way to start attacking Dr.zakir. In the video @ 4:41 he did a small mistake in the numbering. Its ibn majah 3393, 3394, 3392. You have to take into account that ibn majah alone has 4341 ahadith and such small errors can occur sometimes. The fact that he almost got it right should be taken into consideration. He gave u 2 references from ur books to the point and did a small mistake in one place, barak ALLAH fih. So now that u got ur reference, u can stop with the hate msgs
Education has given people the chance to think for themselves, and see the conflictions between the truth and so called 'religious' writings. Eventually all people will have an education that will free them from the lies of religion.
And also, no alcoholic who got rid of the sickness will go back to being a social drinker.

I so much love the talent of this man. Most of the Christian denominations didn't understand a little of what bible means.
I don't drink any alcohol in any form and the majority of the people when they hear me say that cannot comprehend why I don't drink alcohol. They act like something is wrong with me. The problem in reality is them not seeing what alcohol really does to them.
Every day, about 800 people in Europe die from alcohol-attributable causes. Most worryingly, a relatively high proportion of alcohol harm occurs early in the life-course, with one in every four deaths among young adults (aged 20-24) being caused by alcohol.
I can add if Islam allows you to drink minimum that means every Islamic market and shops will have liquor in it and that is very bad for society. It’s a tragedy waiting to happen.
Small thing matters alot.
Eg. If a child begets on small drinking then later on there will be an addition.

I'm a religious researcher so I have experience and knowledge of many religions including Christianity (both Protestant and Catholic) and Islam (both Sunni and Shia). The thing to understand about Alcohol when it comes to these Faiths is this: In Islam it is HARAM. In Christianity it is MAKROOH (of course they don't use the word Makrooh, but it's the equivalent). Real Christians don't really encourage drinking.
