- The Cleveland Guardians as we all now have well surpassed expectations this season and as they now sit at 20 games above .500, Cleveland is gonna be buying at the trade deadline, and there are a few spots across the diamond that could use an upgrade or a little more depth, and the one player that has been linked to this team for a few weeks now is Bo Bichette, so im gonna talk all about what that means, why he is a prefect fit, and also other potential moves the guards could and should make.

With the unofficial injury to SP Ben Lively, and the struggles that Cookie Carrasco, Triston McKenzie and Logan Allen all them been having.....the Cleveland FO may need to trade for 2 not 1 SPs.
You add one starter and one of those guys is bound to bounce back. If you could get Jesus and jazz or Bo and the Japanese guy from the jays that’s a win at the deadline

The Guardians are in the top 5 of all of baseball. This can easily be a WS team if these trades go well.
I was thinking they needed a starting pitcher or maybe two. With it looking like Lively might be hurt I'd say they definitely have to get one SP, and probably two. If Williams comes back looking like himself it would be a big help. I like Bichette, the way he's struggled this year kind of scares me but who knows.
Bo struggled the first 4 weeks but he’s been $ the last 4. His track record speaks for itself, one of the more consistent hitters in the game.
Would love to see Bo in Cleveland, plus a lefty arm in the starting rotation. With Gavin coming back I think he can replace cookie, and adding a lefty arm could help if Logan Allen contributes to struggle

I think a reasonable package for Bo would be Jaison Chourio, Joey Cantillo, and Angel Martinez. I don’t think you need to move Manzardo, DeLauter or Ralphy for him. As for pitchers, the player I absolutely love and think could become a superstar in Cleveland is Ryan Feltner from COL. His stuff is incredible but he’s floundering in that park with one of the worst coaching staffs in baseball. Feltner wouldn’t even cost a top 100 prospect, but could be a 2-4 starter on CLE.
Imagine pitching in Colorado... F my life. Lol. Bring him aboard. (Taking your word that Feltner is worth it. ). 😆

They need a consistent bat and a 3-4 pitcher. Don't need to do anything TOO crazy. Though I'm a fan of one those kids we saw up in Colorado, Feltner. He would do well under the coaching staff here me thinks
Now, if they actually decide to go a little crazy and pick up a bat that really costs them, they need to go bigger than Bo.

Seconded, never was a fan of them selling low on Quantrill. Glad we got Manzo for Aaron, but it really is a fun idea if they were to go and get him back!
Rays could well become sellers as their division is so tough and they are hovering near .500, we'll know far more in 2 months assuredly.

With the numbers this year I don’t think Bichette’s below average defense moves the needle all that much. I’d try for Gausman from the Jays. Most every team in the league should also give Bauer a shot as well but that won’t happen unfortunately.

Schneeman changes things. He is hot right now and Cleveland might get something for him.
Toronto will need a shortstop to replace Bichette. They won't take Rocchio or Arias. Freeman or Fry is a possibility. Schneeman might be an option, but he is not enough.
Giminez would be their 1st choice. They might take the #1 draft pick too.
Schneeman and #1 draft pick for Bichette. Cleveland won't do it. I don't see it happening.
Ross and Shapiro are on hot seats. They need a haul of top prospects.
A trade with Tampa Bay might be better. Amed Rosario and Aaron Civale for Schneeman and Rodriguez might happen.
Rosario is playing right field. He could be a short stop / right fielder option.
If they traded Andres gimenez for bo bichette id be livid. Maybe Manzardo. Maybe schneeman or Rodriguez. NOT gimenez.

They'd be crazy to trade Scheeman. If we trade Rodriguez and Scheeman for Bichette and we don't win the world series, our front office would look EXTREMELY stupid! I love watching Scheeman, and I think we need to hang on to him. Gimenez is a wizard at defense, and his bat isn't terrible. I also think we need to hang on to Manzardo as well because he has so much potential. As the season goes on, I dislike the idea of trading for Bichette more and more. I personally believe Scheeman is the future at shortstop. Fry and Manzardo are the future at 1st base if they do not resign Naylor. They're better off looking into starting pitching.
The Guards should sign... TREVOR BAUER. It's the safest bet in the world atm. Sign at league min and if he is a cancer as everyone says just cut him.
