- The MLB Truly hates what the Cleveland Guardians Are Doing. I have never seen a team with a story like this be so successful yet get absolutely zero recognition from the league, this team has one of the smallest salaries in baseball, they build from the farm, players get taken from then year in and year out by the big markets, but they just continue to have that next man up mentality and win every single season, and this year just seems to be special, it gives me 2016 vibes, after winning game 3 and sweeping the blue jays at home to finish the homestand 5 and 1 and get to 23 games above .500, it is almost july and the Guards have the best record in the american league, yet when i look at social media i never see anything about this team being posted anywhere, and when you look at the all star standings the guys aren't getting the votes they deserve, and the mlb should honestly be ashamed of themselves, i've honestly always felt that the MLB has done a poor job of marketing themselves and their players, creating storylines and things like that, and that is why the game is starting to slowly fall off with this new generation, like i truly believe the WNBA does a better job of marketing themselves on social media and on TV than the MLB does, which is just sad, but anyways besides the point, the Cleveland Guardians are red hot right now, and in some cases it may be a good thing that they are flying super under the radar. So in this video I'm gonna be talking about recent news regarding this team and the trade deadline, recapping yesterday's win over the jays, and also what to expect from this team moving forward as they have a huge series coming up against the Baltimore Orioles.

Josh Naylor being 500K votes behind in 3rd place while having more homers combined and a better OPS then the two players in front of him is all you need to know
I’m pretty sure he leads AL first baseman in votes.
I live in CA and don't think I have ever stayed more than a day anywhere in Ohio and yet I follow the Guardians more than any other MLB team! (I am also one of your subscribers) I love this team because they are so unsung and yet every one of the players hustles and they play like every game is going to win the World Series. Maybe once Kwan "qualifies" for the batting rankings and gets his and the Guardians name up there with with Judge/Yankees and Ohtani/Dodgers baseball fans countrywide will begin to recognize the greatness of the Guardians!
Can you imagine if they gad Shane 'Justin" Bieber the way he started... another five wins I would say, at least.
Gimenez is also in my opinion is an all star, he does have a great clutch bat, but he has to be the best defensive 2nd basemen in the league. So excited for them to carry this run on and go to the post season!
I’ve watched nearly every game he never pulls through he has many games where he goes hitless or gets hits when they don’t matter which that’s fine get hits when you can. But no the glove is great and he is a solid player but he isn’t close to being in all star in my opinion as an Indians fan. Jose,Clase,Kwan and fry are our all stars

Nobody invited them to play with NYY, LAD, and their favorite competitors in the AL East, NL East, and NL West.

The national media has come to the realization, Cleveland is not going away any time soon.

They don't have any money and they are in the worst division in MLB. Yet here they are in the top 5 with the best record in the AL?

This is a near death experience for the MLB media companies. As we approach the All-Star break, they are leaving the denial phase and are grudgingly accepting the Cleveland party crashers as legit competition.
My hope is Jose Ramirez makes it as an All-Star starter. His contract is locked. Everyone else should lock-in long term contracts before they get voted in.
Which is hilarious when you think about the dodgers spending over a billion dollars in the off season and Cleveland has more wins 🤔

Hedges will be a manager in 4 years. If not sooner. Honestly we need to make a trade for a starter and at worst a platoon/bench bat. Also as much as i like guys like Rocchio and Freeman for their defense their offensive production or lack their of cant keep being ignored
Guards, tribe, CLE whatever you want to brand them as...need 1/3 to win the division. (Starter, SS, C) They need 2/3 to contend for the AL crown. After that who knows, but this bunch just efforts its way to wins. Respect to the effort.

I disagree, as soon as we get the attention from the league the team (in the past) falls apart, doesn't do well. Less is more is my belief. Let them continue and this way they will embarrass mlb and the the national media.
With all due respect to the Cleveland Guardians & your video, the Tampa Bay Rays have been doing the exact same thing for the better part of two decades since 2008. They have a low payroll, do not sign big money free agents including their own, make trades, and rely largely on drafting/player development through the farm system. Like the Guardians they have been particularly good with home grown pitchers and much like Cleveland they do not get a whole of publicity from either MLB or the national media.
About 25 years ago all the teams took their games off of network TV locally

With Gavin Williams close to coming back you couldn't get a guy like him inless you gave up the farm so his return is HUGE! I'd still like them to trade for a other pitcher bc as you said Dr.Sticks isn't himself this year bc he's hurt I'd go after Cal from the Rockies or A.C. from Tampa a couple former Cleveland players coming back if that was to be, then if they can get an outfielder with sum pop I like the RF from the A's I think his name is Rooker! #RollGuards #Clevelanddddd

Actually his velocity is going up. He hit 95 for the first time in 2 years. He hit 94 many times. You do a great job but do a little more research. It’s his command that is the problem. And that’s one of the problems with pitching with that tear in the ligament. Location is every bit as important. If not more.
Nah his velocity has been down slightly and he also is afraid to go too hard because of fear of aggravating the injury

And when u are pitching with that type of tear it’s hard to command your pitches.

i don't think anybody from Cleveland's bullpen should be in the all star conversation (besides Clase), If you look at any team's relievers you'll find very similar stat-lines, relivers are supposed to be good and limit hits, if Cleveland's relievers should be in so should every other team's. (besides White Sox, Marlins, Rockies, or Angels)

We havnt felt any real pressure yet. It will be interesting to see us in the first round of the playoffs but something tells me it wont even phase us. But getting a veteran arm whos been there before would be #1 on the list.
