I feel like you're treading into the same level of sensationalism as mainstream media in this coverage. I do think there's a lot to cover so I'm not faulting you, but the nature of your headlines all being MAJOR updates is hard to follow in what is major update vs a standard operating procedure. Might just be me, might be a consideration for your viewers. Still love the content, love the breakdowns and where to look, we may all just be tired of his shenanigans and my attitude is displaced to you.

I agree that the most disturbing thing is not that Leticia.James accepted his bond, But rather it is that the appellate court for no explanation.Whatsoever lowered trump's bond amount. If James is fine with where the money comes from then I can be okay with it as well. I just hope that she doesn't get stung in the long run because I do believe that the likelihood of Trump winning on appeal is slim to none. Which would mean that not only would he lose that money he would likely still need to cough up the rest of the money.
Christ I am SO TIRED of him getting special treatment at EVERY TURN.
When he violated the terms ofnhis bail, they let him off the hook. When he violates his gag orders, they let him off the hook. When he engages in witness/jury intimidation/tampering, they let him off the hook. When he needs to put up a $400M bond, they let him off the hook. When he uses a source for the reduced bond that isn't legal, they let him off the hook.
When he violated his bail terms, he SHOULD have been thrown in jail THEN. When he violated his gag orders, he SHOULD have been thrown in jail THEN. When he didn't have the money to put up is $400M bond, the judge SHOULD have said "tough shit."
He SHOULD be subject to the same rules as everyone else would be, the rules I'D be subject to, the rules YOU'D be subject to, but he's not. They keep giving him breaks, treating him with kid gloves, letting him off the hook.
This, ALL of this, is why my confidence is so low that, even with the MOUNTAIN of evidence against him, even if he's convicted on all counts in all cases, that he'll EVER see the inside of a prison cell. Because they keep letting him off the hook for EVERYTHING, why would it ve different THEN?

He'll lose the appeal, and NY will be able to immediately get the $175M. Then Ms. James can go after the rest owed. Seizing assets and selling them will take a lot of work and money. This gives NY a jump start.

None of the law commentators I listen to have said that Ms. James has made a mistake. They have said the appeals court there made the bond reduction with no explanation, and that wasn't right.
I would love to see tRump lose everything, but it is more important that NY gets the cash when he loses. In the long run, tRump is going to lose.

@@RPlavoin the current case, probably yes - but if he is not re-elected, Fani Willis and Jack Smith will proceed with their trials, and they are much more serious charges with much harsher sentencing guidelines. A conviction in one of those trials is almost certain jail time.

Mostly it’s because criminal defendant Trump doesn’t own anything. Every property is secured to other loans. Every property is “owned” by multiple entities and LLC corporations. It’s not like NY seizes a 100 million dollar building, sells it and they get 100 million dollars. That building is collateral for loans on other properties (all according to Micheal Cohen). Where as 175 million dollar bond or cash could be easily seized.
A few answers. My favourite is they are first in line to recover assets from Trump.
