There may even be captains with better win statistics than his, but none of them lifted the indian cricket team up and boosted their morale, changed their on field attitude, and instilled confidence the way DADA did. I came here searching for "my soul" the original video which is not available anymore. Thanks for posting this wonderful video of Dada. "Those Days" "Childhood Days" was simply wonderful because of this man from 1999-2007. I do miss Dada terribly but this video makes me feel good with all nostalgic memories. I have seen ups and downs in life like Dada and every time I am down I get the spirit to rise like Phoenix and fight back like how Dada did. Yes he instilled belief, Self confidence, aggression, never say die attitude in me in the same manner as he did with the players. It was not an easy task to take on the Aussie team in that era and win at their own backyard. We defeated Pakistan on their home soil, champions trophy, world cup 2003 etc created and supported the core team of Viru, Gauti, Zak, Nehra, Bhajji, Kaif, UV, Laxman etc..I come here when I am having some tough days.....some really tough days just like Dada had. But after seeing this I just rise above like him, conquer everything and achieve my dreams. Will be really happy if i get to meet him one day. Dada Forever..Love You Dada!!!

Otherwise can u believe the man who is the fastest scorer of 4000 to 9000 & 2nd fastest of 10000 , could stop at just 11363...? Later on the politics of Dravid in 2006-07 and later Dhoni and Srinivasan's dirty politics -fixings killed his cricket and carrier.....

But dhoni never did any politics with him... He only asked the selection management to take off all the senior unfit players from the team which allowed us to have the likes of ashwin, jadeja, raina, kohli, bhuvi etc.... Late in his career Ganguly was a burden for the team with usual low scores and mis fielding ... And with added pressure of youngsters like raina etc performing in his position made him to step down. I will be honest with my opinion about this legendary captain of India... That in the post Chappel stage of his life he wasn't the same dada i knew. His innings were slow... Maybe to save his position in team... Fitness was another issue with him.... Dhoni always wanted players who can run fast on the field and he never ever compromised on it.... Likes of kumble, laxman, dravid has been victim of this demand by dhoni which in my view was for the good of indian cricket. Both Dhoni and Ganguly are living legend.
