- Even if your car came with one from the factory, not all strut tower braces are created equal. Steeda's is lighter, has more attachment points, and is stronger!

See now these are the kind of upgrades people should be doing it actually affects how the car performs
Would probably be even lighter if it didn't have a steeda ad on it
But, but, it doesn't say GT on it.
Im sure the engineers would have figured that out
How does this compare to the gt350r strut tower brace (which is already an upgrade to the gt pp/gt350)?
Would it clear a boss 302 manifold on a 2015 mustang gt?
So.. can you guys just make a bolt brace attachment that can work in conjunction with the original??
Tell me you don’t know anything about cars without telling me:
@@joshmanis9860 You might not, but they do. Have you bought any of their existing IRS suspension pieces? That's exactly what half the stop the hop kits do. Is reinforce stock components. I don't think you know much about steeda ingenuity.
lol I don’t think 1lb is making any difference
It’s not about the weight, it’s about the fact that the two bolts are not going to stop it twisting, the frame doesn’t just move towards itself, they will both move out of square when cornering, that effects your suspension geometry, most mustangs can’t corner worth a shit anyway though, so it doesn’t matter
I like knowing that info. It's a question I'd ask, after hearing the piece is made from heavy steel. It's not much weight saving, but at least I know it doesn't add any weight. It's also just good journalism.
@@Boostiversemustangs definitely can corner
@@mauricehustles no they can’t, I’ve driven one and you can really feel the weight, they’re almost twice as heavy as my car
Still didn't explain how
I threw mine away bc I drag race and weight reduction
Along with my crash supports behind the bumpers
Washer fluid tank
And etc
A 6lb strut brace is gonna set you back .00002sec in the 1/4 mile damn that's crazy weight savings
@@radacencoeddie I'll keep my handling dynamics in place. I like also with my ESS Kit I didn't have to sacrifice the Strut Tower Brace. If I would have gone with any brand of root style blower.
American cars do not need strut support as they can only be driven in a straight line. Also there is zero benefit from the bracing if you are not ACTUALLY RACING on a TRACK that have TURNS. Making yo car stiffer for the ROAD is stupid and makes it shit to drive.
it's an murican car. it does not have any handling at all.@@nitodiaz8636
@@vihreelinja4743 I drive my 2020 GT PP1 with Magneride turning left and right with ease. WIth the addition of strut tower brace I installed the steeda Extreme G-Trac K-Member Brace., I take plenty of turns in my car from 30 to 45 mph on regular roads and it feels planted and stable. I don't know if you are comparing old American solid straight axle cars that didn't do well in track circuits. But these new modern American IRS cars can handle themselves very well.
Steeda forgot to tell you to just take off the factory brace and boom, best mod.
Unless you are cornering. But for drag races yes.
Ideally, shouldn't it be attached to the firewall or triangulated in some way?
It still utilizes the factory firewall supports.
I wonder if the modification can be felt or measured when driving hard at a track.
If your car didn't come with a strut tower brace, then you'll definitely feel a difference. You don't even need to be on a race track to notice.
Does it make it easier to remove the 15,17 engine cover out?
Yes
Unless you have an 11-14 S197, then it's $30 more than OEM with the same amount of attachment points 🙄
"its stronger!"
"more attachment points!"
ok and? if the factory part is good enough to do the job why do I need a higher spec part?
Over engineering something that works good enough is pointless waste of money.
Say you want to drag race or you want to track the car and want to minimize body roll. This would be a “cheaper” and faster method of reducing that
Steeda makes aftermarket parts, when you’re building a car you don’t want to cheap out on parts such as suspension or your fram stability
😂😂
12% 😂
He said lighter. We get strut tower for the weight to balance
lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂 waste of money
That's crap
Yeah, ford doesn’t know anything about track cars
Like a regular GT was ever considered a track car 🤡🤡🤡
@@qy3329 none of their vehicles are, the only one that could remotely be considered one is the GT, and they purposefully made it so expensive that nobody could use it for that
@@qy3329 what the fuck is it then? Isn’t it kind of pathetic to design a 5000 pound car just to drive in a straight line? Also it’s not actually made for that either, all Ford does is design vehicles to sell as many as possible, there is no care that goes into it beyond that, and their parts really show it in the lack of engineering, they use extremely cheap parts inside their engines
