Awesome job! Stroke of genius painting the stripes with cosmic sparkle.
I am glad you changed the color of the dashboard... this looks amazing!!
Good call on the dash, makes a ton of difference. Love the colour combo.
Chevelle casting is my favorite, and the 70 Chevelle is also my favorite full-size car. I hope you do another one, in candy orange metallic.
The Chevelle was actually marketed as a mid size car...
I've been watching you for the past few months and you really inspired me to do some custom of my own. I've won a few custom hotwheels event from my local place and all thanks to you. You're video not only their really satisfying to watch also very educational as I would say. Seriously thank you so much🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hey thanks Teddy! Glad to be of service!
That wet look finish you get is slick ! Love the paint effects you do, another top job !
The best part of every project that you do is the clear coat I like how the clear coat shines .
Loving the paint, Dodger blue with those sparkling almost ghost stripes, home run.
Color came out great, dig how the ghost stripes turned out, especially with the flake. Awesome work.
Those stripes are so good looking! Bravo!
I like this color better than the WHITE stripes.i enjoy the fact that you are experimenting with the new colors. BEAUTIFUL!!😀😀😎
Haahaa, soon as I saw that cast defect in the hood I was thinking "he really should putty that thing". But all in all this came out killer. The stripes are very cool, and thank you for NOT doing the stripes over the roof, such a pet peeve of mine. Nice job!
I know me too.. I see that and I’m like pfffft.. he’s not a real car guy lol
I used Createx paints for the first time this week and it's great. I wish it was a little more cost effective in the UK
Wait till you try out these Candy paints we've been using. They are bone dry 5 minutes after spraying. I painted this car.. ate a sandwich and masked off the speed stripes. You wont ever want to use anything else lol. They make a small primary color set you should try get your hands on. 5 colors that are meant to be mixed together to create new ones. That's where I would start if I wanted to ease into it. amzn.to/2Y7erVt
@@DiecastResurrection The pack is not bad for $36 but the $70 in shipping plus UK Customs kills it
@@DiecastResurrection Hi there DR, what clear coat do you use? Cheers.
there are UK suppliers of createx on amazon, brings cost down a bit, I guess if your making a little bit of cash on youtube you could justify the cost to take your painting to the next level. Im about 5 years from that point LOL
@Marc D I use 2k Automotive Urethane
Enjoy watching you airbrush. Getting inspired! Thanks
Great job, I love the cosmic sparkle stripes!
The speed strip are so beautiful the car popped. I want one for my collection.
Damn. Great looking Chevelle. I had a '72 in emerald green, black interior. The '72 was the one with the round Corvette style taillights. All these had a body by Fisher. Great lines and a great homage to the old muscle cars! Thanks!
Jimmy's gonna get some serious *BLUBS*
That paint is amazing, well done.
Looking good, good call on the dashboard!
Beautiful paint. Love the sparkly stripes:) Definitely an upgrade from the last Chevelle.
Somehow the extra short video still works very well! Not that noticable that its shorter except the paint stripping bit. I mean the music choice for it was pretty good makes you not mind the sped up no talking montage
For the good of the channel I need to make 10-15 min videos. Trying to use my time better!
Love the metalic flake in the stripes great over all color choice! Another Dope custom !
Thanks Buddy!
Love that paint!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't be easier to avoid that color bleeding if you paint the body white, mask the stripes and then work with that blue candy? It's something you have to think about, try to always paint the lightest color first.
Btw, it's still a good looking car! Love your videos man.
Another masterpiece!!💃
I'm all about th sparkle on anything!
Superb work!!💚
Turned out awesome!! love them Chevelles and the stripes turned out pretty sweet, almost looks like some ghost stripes.. great video.
Love it! I've said it before, I'll say it again, I really appreciate the content you put up. I am entertained 👍.
I'm glad you are entertained Peter WOOD!
Love the NGT's but the Chevelle with painted stripes is way nicer. Blue is nice on any car. But candy green with white stripes has to be one of the nicest chevelles I've seen. Great job, can't wait to see what's next.
The cosmic sparkle looks awesome man
That is kind of how the hok shimirin candy bases work. You lay down the basecoat, spray the clear and the first couple layers of clear pulls the dye out of the candy basecoat giving a candy effect without the effort of laying down a silver then candy and then clear.
Awesome outcome! Keep up the great work!
Really enjoyed this fast-paced video!
Dude that was beautiful. Great color and strips.
I think it was a good thing in a way that the white didn't work because the sparkle stripes with that candy paint looks awesome. Once again another cool customization
Really really cool to see you do another Chevelle
I really dig that you pulled this project out of a storm, finished product is very cool bro!
In fact it's down right BOSS!
Excellent work as usual, great job on the stripes!
I always try to start with the lightest color, mask it off then spray the darker color, so in this case I would have done the whole car in metallic white, lay down tape over the stripes and then spray the blue/purple. Great work tho man love the vids keep it up
Do you do flames that way? Just seems so bizarre to me lol
I've never tried flames that way, only done flames like once and they were black flames over lime green on a 67 charger
I have painted with that blue 3 or 4 times. Always over the gloss black/chrome and never had the color shift. Must be the white base. Cool!
Gloss white would have been nicer probably, But I actually don't own any at the moment. Also I believe putting that Metallic pant over the candy screwed everything up as well. Ill never let the two touch each other again.
@@DiecastResurrection lol. I've haven't had the best success with the 4040 on anything. But you could try regular white with the 4030 and it works good and will give a gloss to their standard paint lines
You continue to WOW us on your channel with your majestic paint schemes! Continue and don't stop for we are bedazzled by your splendor talent. In short, we are digging and loving your many awesome creations! See ya on your next program.
Thanks! I'm really trying to hold back from making everything to bedazzled. I have so many more colors I haven't tried.. like 30...
Great job! That paint combo is awesome!
That blue is really nice and the cosmic sparkle makes a nice little ghost effect, I did get nervous at one point but it turned out great.
It was an emotional roller coaster for me heheh Thanks buddy!
Great paint job , in my opinion the sparkle is better then the white.
All the best
Sweet stripes. Awesome paint job.
I dug the new color, and the sparkle-stripes look very cool. Sorry you went through kind of a torture to get there, but ya got there!
Saaaweeeeet.....love that blue and those strips are truly cosmic....👍👍👍
🤘 The quintessential muscle car. 🤘 I like how it came out. Especially the ghost effect of the stripes. Amazing how you can take something that didn't come out anywhere near how it was planned and still turn it into a win. I also think you made the right choice for the wheels. Those are right you there at the top of my list too. 👍👍
The second most satisfying part of your vids is always the bubbling paint... The first being the finished car of course....
Awesome paint-jobs. Love these videos - very informative. I work at Createx and would lie to offer some tech help with Createx: when applying any white over candy2o, try reducing both candy2o and white with 4011 Reducer, not the 4012. 4011 is less aggressive better for preventing color bleeding compared to 4012 which tends to make new coat of paint penetrate a bit into the bottom layer of paint. 4040 Bleed Checker will work much better when protecting against the candy2o and white when 4011 Reducer is used. Also, allowing extended drying time for the white may help.
Thanks Craig, you sent me some. Ill give that a shot! I knew the Bleed Checker would be the answer but never thought about using 4011 at the time. The damage was already done after spraying the 4012 on the stripe. Thanks for checking out the channel!
It looks great!! Love the color choices👍
You just simply amaze me. Great work! 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow that's a badass paint job!!!
The sparkle looks awesome. Nice custom👍👍👍
How can anyone give you thumbs down man . You do awesome work and there is a learning curve on things by !
I have a bunch of haters that think I paid to get subs and stuff that aren't allowed to speak anymore. Probably just those guys.
Can’t please everyone sir , keep on keeping on 👍🏼
Looks awesome! Don't forget paint prep is the best for an awesome finish paint job.
Its ALL about the prep!
Got that right 👌
Beautiful paint finish as always. Createx has to be top of the food chain of paint jobs.
Looks great, nice custom work!...Bill
Nice work but I think I would prefer the white rally stripes rather than unicorn sparkle.
White just wasn't in the cards last night I'm afraid.
Fantastic paint work,well done.
I think you just get better and better after every car great work! 👍
Thanks for doing a '70 Chevelle! It's my all time favorite car period!
Awesome work, color is sweet . KOOL as always .................................Mike Espo.....
1970 Chevelle 👌🏼 Keep up the good work Brotha
Thanks Bud!
I'm "glad" the white failed because that subtle sparkle is hottt
Thanks brother!! I'm kinda glad too, they make a bunch of colors of them sparkles. Options are endless!
Love that color!! Super Job!!
Looks great! Very good quality paint
You can call yourself "master of paintjobs on CZcams"! Amazing!
Thanks brother, i'm just getting started!
Nice blue.!
Nice color... great job once again....
Those stripes are very
Coooool ¡¡¡¡!! Car is awesome.
Sweet loved the blue and those stripes sick.. love it.. big like my brow :) ;) :D =)
Thanks brother!!
Alright, alright, alright! Sweet custom
That is one bad ass Chevelle. Awesome custom my friend. 👍
Looks so good I wish I had the real thing in 12 inches to the foot scale! But Chip Foose would beat me to it!👍🏻👍🏻
that color shift was awesome! :D often the effect is kinda lost in video but this one stod out! :D
WOW dude you do some of the best paint jobs on youtube bro!
Thanks brother, still learning! They will get more and more crazy as time goes on.
Cosmic ..... love it Ace , that Chevelle looks out of this world 👽👍🌌🚀
That's a sick paint job ...
Dam, i'm love'n your work! Could you lay down the white stripe first, then apply the blue??
Probably yes as long as the edge of the white doesn't turn blue. I need to do more reading on that bleed checker and I think it'll be fine.
Personally I think the pastel blue would’ve been sick, but the end result is great regardless
That's a phennom of a job ole chap, I say you did an outstanding candy and the stripe...whooo wee..sicccck! Jimmy will definitely be loving the blubs from this masterpiece of craftsman ship! Everyone remember to like and sub to the channel. Don't be shy and leave a comment below. There is a shop link and patreon too..so let's make it rain!
really awesome looking car :-) how about doing some pearlescent next
Good job . Thanks for posting .
What a fantastic colors mate welldone👍🏻
Those stripes are on point!
Very nice. Love that color ❤️
Looks great.
that paint is SICK!!!!!!
Still want to see a workshop video! I will not stop until I get that video! Lol
Nice job
Thanks John!
SWWWEEEETT that patreon should feel lucky thats a sweet car
Awsome job.3 times a charm. 👍
Awesom job once again. I was one who complained about the hood pins lol.
Musta been like 20 people haha
Diecast Resurrection haha yeah sorry about that. I didnt get the chance to send in my couple cars. Owell i guess. I was dissapointed though lol. You do such awesom paint jobs
Another day in Paradise No worries brother I have lots of cars yet ;)
What a spectacular Chevelle. I love the paint job. You have to get those hood pins in. Otherwise someone is going to steal your battery.🤪
Have you tried using auto body striping tape? Its thinner than regular masking tape to help leave smaller transition lines between basecoat and the stripes and or retro flames before clearing.
And wow that paint really sets it off, glad it wasn't a straight clone
Sweet!
I love the finish you get on your clear coats, mind sharing how you achieve it?
Looking good! Well done!
The original paint job from Hot Wheels looked stupid, but now, that car is a work of ART!!!!
