I’m not a romance reader; but I love how much you highlight black love books!! Not many romance booktubers do this, so thank you!
Of course!!!! They’re my favorites ❤️
I loved the pokey little puppy as a kid
Me too! It’s one of my favorite books as a child
Haha!! The memories.
Oh this is such a fun idea! I’m gonna have to take my little man to a library book sale and let him go on a shopping spree
Do it!!!!
Wow that was a huge library sale. Number the Stars is a beautiful story based on real life events. I actually read it in one sitting which is rare for me. I am not a quick reader.
Oooo I’m even more excited to pick it up now!
Living vicariously through you. I'm to poor to buy anything. Good thing I have a library in walking distance!
The library spends the money for me 🤭 Especially when they bring in a new release hardcover, because those push the 30 to 35 dollar mark in Canadian bookstores.
This has been a library appreciation comment ☺️
Me too! I never buy books; unless I truly love the book. I get 99% books from the library
I’m glad you have a library that’s so close!
The Outsiders is the book that made me fall in love with reading.
the outsiders is one of my fav books of all time. probably the best assigned reading i ever had -- we started the book on a Friday and were meant to read it as a class over the next few weeks, but i couldn't put it down! finished it that weekend and reread it several times over the course of the class unit.
i read the rest of s.e. hinton's stuff as an adult and it's all just as good
Geeked on the comic shopping. I don’t see this often. And it was a bit ASMR ish for me. 😀
Yay!!! ❤️❤️
Your library book sale is so much nicer than my library system. The ones I’ve been to, you’re sifting through cardboard boxes and they’re not organized as well
My system is one of the few that I’ve been to that’s been super organized
I miss library book sales! 😔 The Graveyard Book in one of my Gaiman favorites!
That was a great library book sale haul! ☺️
I can’t wait to read it!
Always check local libraries, cause mine has a book sale every day.
Damn I wish my library's book sales were this good
such a good selection 😭😭😭 the black romance ?? section ??? incredible i'm so happy for you
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love a good library book sale!
❤️❤️❤️
I saw a little princess doing some book shopping too👸🏾 💖 ✨
She did a whole lot of shopping lol
the first edition artemis fowls had me choking on my juice
I haven't been to a library book sale before but we do regularly have a charity book fair. Same kind of prices and super fun to browse what's for sale.
That sounds just as fun!
I loved The Lilac Girls! So good!
I can’t wait to read it!
See. When those books fell I would have taken that as a sign to get all of those 😂😂
Lmaooooo I should have stuffed them all in my bag
Number the Stars was one of the best books I remember reading in Elementary school. I think we read it in 5th or 6th grade? What an amazing book haul!
I keep hearing so many good things about it !
I have never seen so many black romances before. Or that many books with black main characters. I’m not by any means black, but I am here for the representation! Also my library has a book sale every day and everything is for 25 cents. May just end up walking out with 30 and not even spend like $20
I love this book shopping video 😍😍 great books by the way📚 ☺️😊
I need to find me a library book sale because, girl! That’s a good bang for your buck😂
It was!!!
I don't think we have library book sales in the UK so this was so fun to watch!
Aww I’m glad you were able to experience one through this video!
These are my favorite kind of videos to watch and seeing you makes me happy!
❤️❤️❤️ thanks love!!!
What a great library sale! This next weekend the city nearest me is having a huge library book sale and I can't wait, it's been a while since I've been able to go to one.
Yesss! I hope you find some great things!
Your library book sale is amazing! So many books to choose from!! I love buying used books and supporting my local library when they have sales!
I do too!
those shelves are full of books that look great!!
So manyyyyy!!
i love this! i adore library book sales, and you absolutely found some treasures!
❤️❤️❤️
Such an amazing sale! Thank you so much for sharing!✨💖📚
Thank you for watching love ❤️
I haven't been to a library book sale in years. The one you went to is way more organized than the one I went to in the past. I can't afford to go because I am low on shelf space. But I do love this video, and thank you for the content.
Thank you for watching love ❤️
I loved this! Looks like you and baby girl had a great time. 💜 That is a great library sale-makes me want to go have a peek at my local!
We did!
Fabulous haul! I love library sales. The last sale our library had did a fill a bag for $15. I got So many books. 📚
That’s a good deal!!!
So many books!
There were so manyyyyyy
Watching 📚🤓
I really need to check out my new library sales to see if I can find some goodies 😍
Yesssss do it!
Yay a book shopping vlog!
It's my first time watching a Library Book Sale shopping vlog.
We don't have these in the Philippines, because accessible libraries are mostly in schools hehe.
I remember those Disney children's books. The spines are like their trademarks.
I own a copy of King Of The Wind. Might consider rereading it. 😄
I read The Secret. I don't remember much about the story anymore since I've read it years ago, but I believe I enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing Varian Johnson.
Thanks for watching !!!!
OMG All of those Kimani romances!! I'm pretty sure my sister had a subscription to the Kimani line (either that or she was buying them at the grocery store?) and I remember stealing them in secret. Brings back memories. Thanks for taking us with you!
Thank you for watching love ❤️
White Trash is a fascinating book, really interesting! I had to read White Trash for school and got a lot out if it.
I can’t wait to dive into it !
This looked like a fun book sale, congrats on your finds! Thanks for taking us along 🐢💖
It's also a bit weird because when my local ibrary does a sale, it's three to five shelves and then only for one certain topic. Never saw this many books sold in a library :')
Since you mentioned the author - I actually got City of Heavenly Fire during the last sale earlier this year. I was on the fence about completing my TMI / shadowhunter collection but for this price and a hardcover I didn't hesitate :D
Lol I don’t blame you for picking it up
The old school romance covers actually look very artsy. I prefer them to the more "photorealistic" covers of today's romance.
❤️❤️❤️
Omg my library is having a booksale today and tomorrow too! I've never been to one before so I'm very excited. I was gonna go for both days but I had a medical procedure today and I am currently very looping and wobbly lol, so tomorrow will do just fine
I hope you found some good stuff!
Library book sales are where I got into trouble when I first found out about them. I bought bags of them and I still haven't even gotten through half of the books I got the first time. So inexpensive, I love them.
Sooooo inexpensive lol
Hey Ashley 👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾. I am calling my main library to see when they are having their book sale. This was an exciting vlog as I love book sales. So many titles leave me intimidated. But, you just need to take your time and work your way thru them. 📔📕📖📗📚
You’re right!!!
I love library book sales and thrift book shops! Looks like you found some real gems. And I think it's obligatory for there to be at least 3 copies of each of the Hunger Games or Twilight books in every book shop lol! 📚
I recently picked up hardcover BOTM Razorblade Tears and A Promised Land for $1.50 at a thrift store 💰
What?!? That’s wild!
@@BookishRealm The store I go to basically throws a bunch of books in bins for $1 or less! Even newer ones in awesome condition that they could easily resell for way more. I got a lightly used copy of Fire and Blood (GoT series) for 50 cents💅
Your library had really good ones for sale. I used to be a huge House of Night fan 🤦🏽♀️
Haha! I never got into them.
I love library sales!! Do check out The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See! One of my favorite books that I've read this year
I will!!!
I just found out that Alexandre Dumas's (The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers) father General Alex Dumas was the son of slaves. You can read about him in The Black Count.
I haven’t went to one of these in like 4 years dang now I wanna go . I shouldn’t tho cause I don’t have shelf space lol
Lol I shouldn’t have gone either honestly
I have read all of the Newberry's that you bought.( Not the Outsiders) Lisa See is a favorite. I have read Tea-Girl of Hummingbird Lane. My coworker and I have share an opinion, so it will be interesting to see what you think. I recently finished The Island of Sea Women. There is a big annual library sale. I didn't go this year.
Ooo I’m interested in what y’all thought
@@BookishRealm we thought the pacing was off and underdeveloped towards the end. We liked it overall.
You have some great books! Have you read a Black Historical romance book by Beverly Jenkins? She's my favorite, That was a good book sale. I need to find out if my city is going to have one.
Yesss! I have! I own quite a few of her books!
It's been a while since I went to a library sale. Last time, I got All Those Explosions Were Someone Else's Fault by James Alan Gardner, a novel about university students-turned-superheroes fighting billionaire vampires in Waterloo, Ontario. Lots of fun, esp. if you know the setting.
A series about Newberry Award winners sounds interesting. I'm sure I read a few as a kid, but the only one that made any lasting impression was Island of The Blue Dolphin by Scott O'Dell.
As an adult, I read The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner and really enjoyed it. It's very funny, not particularly tragic, so probably different from most Newberry winners. I don't recommend the audiobook, for a couple of reasons. Interestingly, the sequels are usually shelved as YA or adult fantasy, not children's books. Their summaries give away the big twist of the first book though, and it's definitely a series where going in blind is best.
Ooo I’ve been interesting in checking those out. Thanks for the audiobook warning.
I was today years old learning they discontinued the kimani romance series!!! Omg the way I would have spent my money 💰
Lol I should have gotten more honestly!
When you picked up The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman I said allowed, "I really liked that one". As if anyone can hear me and I'm not home alone??
😂😂😂😂 nothing wrong with that. I talk to myself all the time.
I recently went to a library book sale and I got over 50 books for $20. Everything was 50% off
Wow! That was a good deal!
Funny that ‘Health Care Reform’ is in the fantasy section 😒
Wow
Lol I think it was put there by accident. They do a good job separating fiction and nonfiction without bias.
