Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the love to this video and my channel! Part 2 of this video will be out the first week of December :)
Can't wait!😁👍
I always find really great reads at the Dollar General near my house. 🤙🏾
I can definitely see this being a booktube trend now
That would be so cool! I would love to see what other people find at their local stores
yup.
100% agree
This has been in my notes for a vid idea for a couple years lol.
While searching it I seen people have done this a little bit ago
Glad she did it though!!
is booktube only on the android app store? i can't find it anywhere...
I’ve actually gotten so many good books at dollar tree.
Same
Some
Samee but tbh it’s kinda rare getting good books
Same!!
Same! The first book I read when was getting back into reading was from there and it was sooo good
My sister buys me $1 books so I can try them and if I hate them I can trade them at LFL or occasionally my used bookstore for credit 😅 which is honestly the most thoughtful way to buy me a book since I am impossible to buy “surprise books” for
i love that! I also use my local LFLs frequently!
I like to buy discounted books at Ollie's, usually averaging $3 - $4 each, and they're more well-known authors. Yes, do a part 2!
same!
5 Below has great books too!
Yes! I just got rl stine books from there
Omg this is such a unique idea! I totally forgot Dollar Tree had books 🧐 I’ll have to see what mine has haha
Thank you! I hope you have some good finds too :)
i got one and its actually good, not the best but good enough.
Regarding the beginning of the video, I was just telling my husband this exact thing! That I miss picking out books based on cover and description instead of getting bombarded by recs online. Miss it a lot😭
One of my favorite books (and the first I added on my Goodreads) is actually one I got at dollar tree. All the Beautiful Girls by Elizabeth Church. A beautiful and often tragic story of a woman who pursues her love of dance and ends up as a Vegas showgirl during the tumultuous 1960s. It goes a lot deeper than that, as she has past and present devastations to navigate and learn from, but there’s your elevator pitch.
I've been watching BookTube for a long time and this is a first for me, very original and entertaining.
I love dollar tree books, actually the book that got me back into reading was a dollar tree book.
Same!!!
Wild how good the selection was at the last store! 😍
When you said “only 2 or 3 books” and then there was a laugh track that followed that, I felt that so hard 😂
I usually get my notebooks, flash cards, and pens/pencils from Dollar Tree. I have gotten some fiction books from Dollar General for $3 each. Which is an awesome deal. I found the Dune Series 3 in 1 book for $3. I also love their lipsticks & eyeliner.
One of the sweetest books I have ever read I bought at the dollar tree. I can’t remember the name however because my dog, when he was a puppy ripped up my entire collection of books in 5 seconds. He’s lucky he’s so cute.
I remember the name…
Rush Home Road
Lori Lansens
I've recently started reading whatever I'm feeling in the moment and branching out because I want to get 'my love of reading' (that's what I call it) back. I used to go to the library and pick out random books, so I get what you mean about the feeling of liking a book and wondering if you'd have picked it up otherwise.
i love this idea!!! i always see quite a few mainstream books you would see at barnes or target
Omg this was such a unique idea! I would love to see a part 2😁
I’ve gotten books from the dollar store too and I haven’t been disappointed yet tbh!
I love to get hard cover books at the Dollar Tree. Some have absolutely beautiful covers and they look great on a bookshelf.
I never thought about getting a book from dollar tree before, I might give it a shot. I love going into a book blind. Best feeling ever.
I remember in my school library I happened to pick a red book w/out a clue what it was about and it’s still one of my favorites today. I had no idea it was so popular before hand either lol. It was The Giver by Lois Lowery.
Loved this video. I also kind of miss that time when you didn’t really have as much social media influence.
Except when I was younger I used to look at what “other people enjoyed” section on Amazon and used to write like every book down. 😅
Noooo don’t tell. Haha. DT is where I’ve picked up some of my favorite ready over the past few years. ❤❤ Fun video. 🎉
Omg please do a part 2!!! ❤❤❤
coming soon!!!
New subscriber! I really loved this video idea :) It was so refreshing to see you take a chance on these books without having any prior influence to read them. It definitely pushes me to try this the next time I’m out looking for books, and seeing what else is out there. Can’t wait for part 2✨
Love this vlog never thought to go to dollar tree for books! ❤
It's definitely worth checking out
Yes part two! I loved this video.
This is such a fun concept! I didn't even know they have books at dollar tree. I have to go check them out
Best in person places for books in no particular order: Dollar Tree, Ollie's, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Half Price Books (if they would just come to Florida!!!)
I didn't go into Salvation Army and walk out with 8 books...
I have actually found a book that I love from the dollar tree! $1.25, what a steal!!
I always look at the books at Dollar Tree though I rarely find books that are worth the space on the bookshelves to me.
In Ireland we have Dealz and eurogiant as our version of dollar tree and they actually do have some good books a lot of the time! It does be fun for getting out of my comfort zone abit in genres
love this idea! great finds!
This is great i have enjoyed quite a few books from the dollar tree
P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast are actually a mother and daughter, I've read books by them before, they have a really long series about vampires, the first book is called Marked and they have some other books too
I find it hlarious how easily I found one of my favorite series in your background (Ana Huang’s twisted series)
when i was younger, like late middle / early high school, i got a book there & i actually LOVED it. i still think about it sometimes
you got me out of my reading slump girl thanks🙏
Just watched this! My DT had an appalling book selection area...one small section on the bottom shelf under kids' books and coloring books. Mixed in with stickers and miscellaneous. But I bought one and we'll see! Fun.
I found a large print version of On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous at Dollar Tree. I have over 50 books from there. I love getting books from there. I am a crazy binge reading i don’t read descriptions I just read 🙃
Definitely do a 2nd part. I would like to know what you think of Sparrow.
I don't look up many book reviews. I have a few random reads from the dollar store but my favorite is going to the library and just grabbing whatever looks good. I also like reading books that movies i liked were based on. I find doing it in the reverse makes the book better without ruining the first viewing of the movie... Kinda like how this graphic novel has a book series and people were disappointed it didn't match well.
What a nice video idea☺. I have some books (and guided journals) that I absolutely love from Dollar Tree but the Dollar Trees that you went to really popped off because I've never seen books that pretty at any of mine. A graphic novel?? Amazing.
This inspired me to read my two books I bought from the Dollar Tree
the title got me so excited HAHA i love this!!! you're so fun :)
Oh my gosh this is such an awesome idea!! I want to do this now!
I gasped when you showed Blue Flowers in the store, because it's one of my favorite books of all time and I had to buy it online because I couldn't find it anywhere!
this was so creative!! such a fun video
My DT and the surrounding ones have some really popular books (that are older) that I've gotten from there. I always check their book section.
i love this idea! booktube is just all of the same books lately😅
Such a great idea!
This is so cute, I am defiantly doing this too!!!
Yes!!! Hope you find some good books!
This is suchhhhh a fun idea!!! I'll have to try it!!
I've bought so many books at dollar tree when I first started reading, I've even gotten the maze runner book there!
i love this bro and ur so pretty!
thank you!
Always keep your Amazon app open! It's what I do when I go. I type it in, making sure it isn't part of a series! Tip!
Thanks for the video . I bought one book from dollar tree then I found out in my area library book sales have $5/ bag and thought that deal was awesome.
i love your taylor shirt girly
I read Little Darlings! It is creepy and I really enjoyed it. I also picked it up at the dollar tree. Another dollar tree book, my husband read called What’s Left of Me is Yours
In Germany we have stores like that too where you can get stuff for 1€ (or at least it used to be like that, but you know, same concept) and they also carry books, but 9 times out of 10 it's stuff no one's ever heard of. I distinctly remember going to a store called Woolworth and they had a book from Jennifer L. Armentrout that I definitely would've gotten if it wasn't practically destroyed. So yeah, that 1 time out of 10 you will find books (or other media) that people actually heard of. But that's exactly the reason why I love going to cheap stores like that, Tedi and Woolworth are the best ones (I think the only ones to carry books anyway, so the point is kind of moot, haha.)
omg i had no idea they had books! i need to try this for a booktube video
I’ve been getting a lot of books for $3 from Dollar General lately and going outside my typical genre. I discovered I actually like Westerns by doing this over the past year.
Also I love this idea!
i scored all a lot good books there sometimes they dont always have them.
Could you believe I found books in Barns and Noble for $1.00.
Even cheaper than Dollar Tree. They were selling some overstock books too. Obviously not all books there are so cheap, but again overstock is bargains passed on to the public. Our local Barnes & Noble does that. Also, I think Dollar Tree books are fantastic. Love em, too ❤😂 Happy treasure hunting to you!
Love the video but also I love that green nail color!!
I loved this!
this is such a good idea!
This is such a fun video idea! Def subbed
I've never thought to go to $tree but nowwwww... and I like westerns so all good lol
I actually was really tempted to buy books at Dollar Tree last time i went during summer, there were a few interesting ones so i can't remember why i didn't buy any lol. What I did get tho was a free book from the local library in the city i was on. There where some really bad options but i happened to pick an amazingly good one. Honestly i didn't have good expectations of it, especially since it's no popular at all, but I'm currently almost finishing it and it's mesmerizing!!! I also miss the feeling of going to the library with no idea of what "the internet" thinks of what you picked. I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of unread books in my bookshelf and go blind-shop a couple more hahaha
I recently got a book worth $25 at the dollar tree and I’m almost finished with it. It’s actually so good!
Things are worth what you can actually physically get for them!
Nothing less, nothing more!
What a cool idea!
I always buy books at dollar tree when I go to the one near me that has them. I think that it is a fun way to find cheap, unique books that you would never have found otherwise. It’s always a hit or miss whether there are any good books or not.
I’ve snagged several great YA novels from the Dollar Tree.
I got a book called Burial Rites from dollar tree years ago, it was pretty good
what a great video idea!!
thank you so much! :)
i'm so happy you made this video & im hopeful that many readers find some books they love at DT.
i always feel so sad when i see books at DT. i think of the hours and hours the author spent tooling away only to end up on the Island of Misfit Toys. i've tried a few but the ones i tried were literally unreadable. that made me even sadder.
would love to see people doing something similar to this with library books
Just found your channel. I love this ❤ I hope you do more.
I ❤ DOLLAR TREE BOOKS
Just found your channel through this video! Instant sub!
i’ve gotten an emily henry book (hello girls) and invisible ghosts! both really fun (and sad).
this is SUCH a unique & fun video idea!! also where's the green jacket you're wearing from- I NEED IT
i actually got my favorite book of all time at a dollar tree!!
which book?
Dollar Tree sells books?🤯Had no idea, and I'm going tomorrow lol. You did that! Always on the hunt for a steal! Those books though, not so much. The only book I'd be interested in is the one from the Mad Men guy, but you glossed over it. If you make a Part 2, please post a review!
I just got “Leave the World behind” recently from there!
When we do road trips we stop in at a dollar tree and buy the cheesiest looking book we can find then take turns reading it in silly voices to keep whoevers driving awake
My dollar tree buys target discards in bulk! Gotten so many great books from there
I saw Jade War at the dollar tree the other week! Didn’t get it bc I haven’t read the first book in the series but I was surprised.
It’s a hit or miss there but I think you scored a jackpot 😂
Ohhh you were at the dollar tree in Milford, I’m from West Haven
i have so many good dollar tree book recs😭
- A River of Royal Blood, by Amanda Joy
- Hush, by Dylan Farrow
- Enchante, by Gita Trelease
- Diamond City, by Francesca Flores
- The Dinner List, by Rebecca Serle
Love dollar tree please do pt2
Omg, my friend, there are way WAY better graphic novels out there! Let me know if you need any recommendations for where to start with them (I'm a bit of a visual novel fanatic lol). Loved this video and love you, can't wait for part 2 🫶✨
you should do one of getting books from thrit stores
I love finding gems at Dollar Tree!
I love dollar store and I love books then
I got a Snooki comedy book “Jersey shore character I think or something similar “ and a Native American book something and the lightning people from dollar tree like a decade ago my dollar tree no longer sells books like that anymore. But I thought It was fascinating.
I have also found good books at dollar general and they are all 3 dollars!!
I love Dollar Tree books, but I've definitely seen some weird ones. There was one called "The Mormon Millionaire" and it was a series inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey. Besides that I did read some good books.
