  • In this episode of Tea60 茶話, we return to the front tea bar at West China Tea with Elizabeth (@VanillaObscura on instagram) pouring. The conversation kicks off talking about tea processing and how every little thing matters when it comes to affecting the flavor, fragrance, and feeling of tea. The table drifts into discussion of cities, initially Chinese cities, but also American cities. Cities becoming too similar, the changing face of a city's culture, feeling invisible in a gigantic city. Later, we discuss plant walks and plant knowledge with Leighla, an herbalist working with a local shop called Earth Commons. Shiho talks about her past as a professional baseball player in Japan, and So-Han reveals his idea for an anime about an alternate universe where Ming China is operating a mystical tea house while rebuilding their army in exile in San Francisco. Overall - a pretty common style of conversation for the teahouse. We hope you enjoy this slice of life at West China Tea in Austin, TX.

26:29~ I actually have Googled myself, and the link to my Twitter profile came up on top.
BTW in Japanese, looking up your name and/or something pertaining to you is called "Ego-Searching"(エゴサーチ, _Egosāchi_ )
