Please stop telling me about Nick Kart 2.
I know.
It hurts.
I don't want a third.
Alright I wont talk to you about Nick Kart 2
Made a typo,
you meant "I do want a third."
Makes me upset cause you can find archived audio files for the characters or hell try to get most of the actors back. Unless Nick sucks at archiving their shit
Yes you do
Be right back, gotta contact GameMill and tell them about this HUGE fan of them.
4:59 That is the most tedious password system I've ever seen.
Rugrats scavenger hunt holds a special place in my heart. I'd much rather have played mario party but didn't have it so.. yeah.
This was my first game with my N64 that I got for Christmas in 1998 when I was 6 years old so it holds a special place in my heart too despite that there’s not much to it.
Honestly, me too. I personally loved that game, along with Search For Reptar. Granted, I was maybe 5-6yo and knew no better, but I always had fun with those Rugrats games. Very nostalgic
yeah I had that game too & idk, I just liked it. I might be bad but eh, it's my childhood
I used to play most of these games and now i feel badass for being able to beat guts when i was like 7
You speak so perfectly to the millennial generation who all grew up on Toonami, Nick toons, video games and super heroes, keep up the amazing work!
Early Gen Z too.
@@adeptdamage3669 Hell yeah
7:00
"It's just Nickelodeon GUTS for the SNES!"
"OH!!! OKAY! WELL THAT MAKES IT OKAY THEN!!! LET'S KEEP PLAYING!!!"
"Why would I tell you? That'd give you an advantage against me!"
"IT DOESN'T GIVE ME AN ADVANTAGE, IT MAKES US EQUAL!"
Begun, the decade old Game Grumps discourse has.
I wonder if people are still arguing in that comment section.
Arnie was in the right.
John was just spiting him for saying Symphony of the Night was “level-editor-y.”
10:05 Also known as "nobody's heard of you so please move out of the way and leave me some space".
Me and my sister played ALOT of Nickelodeon Party Blast when we were young, we had a shit computer, and it could only run that game, we would even share an entire keyboard just to play. It's pretty much one of the new good memories I have with her since me and her nowadays dont get along that well.
I can understand not affording every voice actor for each character to record new dialogue, but couldn’t they at least have used archived audio for each character?
Are they too lazy even for that?
I can only imagine is because they didn't want to bother with lip-syncing
@@TheDoomBlueShell they could've had the chars speak without moving their mouths. It'd be lazy, but still something? But nah, even that was too much effort appearently, lol
Nicktoons Racing did that! Stuff like Patrick shouting "Patrick sad!" when he got hit by an item is clearly archived audio, but it worked!
@@devonwilliams5738 Nobody in the game industry is lazy... Get some perspective.
Funny you mention Garfield Kart since Nick now owns the Garfield franchise.
Oh that would explain why they've been showing reruns of the old show on nicktoons.
Excuse me one moment won't you. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
12:40 Okay, not only was Tournament Fighters very much part of the 16-bit era, but you showed the SNES version, aka the *_good_* one!
Funnily enough, Tournament Fighters still has a small but thriving tournament scene
I get the strong feeling Austin is more of a single player kind of guy.
@@JohnDoe-wq5eu I played it almost exclusively in single-player while growing up (because I have no friends...), and I was able to realize its genius
16:06 Now, take a look at this
(Switches to game footage where I can't even tell which person's the playable character)
That rocko game gave me flashbacks to that Krusty the Clown game from the Simpsons. Who thought lame lemmings clones were a good idea?!
I still have nightmares about Rugrats Search For Reptar. It will haunt me until the day I die
Me too. I got it since "They had no good games left" at Walmart and now I wonder what hidden gem I passed over for Rugrats Search for Reptar.
What better way to spend Halloween then playing bad Nick Games .
Look I respect your opinion, but any opinion where the Silver Snakes is not the best Legends of the Hidden Temple team is wrong.
Silver snakes 4 life! SsssSshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ugh i love you , when you need this kind of video and then it magically appears
"i guess ill see you in 2 more years with nick kart racer 3" Nah your getting the surprise knife of nickelodeon All star brawl (the surprise is that its being made by people with talent)
I see a lot of people talk about the disappointment of the Legend of Korra beat-'em-up game made by Platinum... but I don't hear many people even mention the 3DS tactics game, where Tenzin flying in on his bison is represented by wobbling the picture of him slightly, and the one thing that Earthbenders like Lin and Bolin can't handle in a fight is getting punched. No, seriously, they're weak to any and all non-elemental attacks. Like basic attacks.
“What are you doing you idiot”
That was Melissa Joan Hart from Clarissa on the episode. Made me laugh.
Guessing next episode is gonna Parasite Eve: 3rd Birthday, might as well finish the trilogy.
id love to see you cover the gungrave series and all the weird GG games that have come out since the PS2 ones leading up to the new game at somepoint
I absolutely love this guy, he always hits my nostalgia gland
Keep it up dude
O ya, this is the nostalgia blast I needed!
Always love your stuff Austin
Bruh, Studio Tour was the bomb. So much better than the predecessor.
Granted it was hard as shit and I quit after unlocking the first door, but still.
I had a flashback to an old game show called finders keepers while watching this, it was made in the late 80s a whole decade before i was born so i have no idea how or where i watched it.
They made a video game based on GUTS but *not* Legends of the Hidden Temple?!
You unearthed some deep, long-buried memory of Rugrats Scavenger Hunt in me. How dare you.
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
Jsi borec. Mám moc rád tvoji tvorbu.
I had like 6 rugrats games growing up, many of which appeared in those assorted clips you included. However, there was also an All Grown Up computer game, and it might be worse than any of the ones you've shown (albeit i remember liking it as a kid, i also recall the game's controls being a hellscape).
Sort of hope it shows up here eventually.
Getting flashback of Game Grumps arguing over Guts
I seriously wish they would reboot Rocko's Modern Life as a new show, I loved the new movie so much
I feel like the devs of Rocko’s Modern Life played the Peter Puppy level of Earthworm Jim, but didn’t understand what made that level work.
heck yeah! happy halloween, Austin!
I've never heard about Express VPN before. It must be a new company.
Make sure to wear your RayCons while listening to Audible and log in to Express VPN before logging in to Raid Shadow Legends.
Also manscaping.
@@JohnDoe-wq5eu Yes. I love when gaming youtubers spend minutes shaving their beard in the middle of a video to show manscaping products. It really makes me wanna buy the product in question.
@@mattfox6116
Who doesn't love to hear a CZcamsr awkwardly talk about how they're going to shave their junk.
As much as I hate the other sponsors that have been driven into the ground that one wins hands down just for being the most awkward and cringe.
look up the interviews with former contestants on legends of the hidden temple. Stuff like the Guards just being horrifying to the kids and giving them panic attacks
"Purple Parrots for life."
Alright Blue Barricudas, you know who to take out next.
Taupe Tortoises rule!
the silver monkeys would like a word.
"I guess I'll see you guys in two more years with Nick Kart Racer 3..."
Did that age well, or what?
I remember renting Rugrats Scavenger Hunt from Blockbuster. I had rented Super Smash Brothers previously, and I think it was the very first time I saw the drastic difference in quality of games as a 7 year old.
I....I think I rented Rugrat's Scavanger Hunt in our local game shop once and I had up until this moment completely suppressed that memory...I am still not sure...but there is something oddly familiar about those boards with incredibly dark and boring backgrounds...
I unironically love Rugrats Search for Reptar and will defend it until the day I die
i have actually covered that rocko game before and my gosh you had more patience than i did. i think i gave up on the first level lol
The biggest problem that series is has which super robot ones to have is all the levels have so many enemys they take over a hour to beat and those X Zone sprites scream put me into a Arcade Stlye 2d Beat Em Up
"Fun movie singular"
Excuse you, Austin. The Secret of the Ooze is a classic, my dude.
So I'm still waiting to hear back from Nickelodeon about being on Legends of the Hidden Temple.
Austin, will you be my teammate?
God, I actually played all the Nick games on SNES. I don't recall HOW I beat Rocko's Modern Life, GUTS was a complete blur and passed me by as I rented it in Blockbuster, and that Rugrats board game was ech. I remember having all CPUs, and they lost to Angelica easily.
That P* TMNT game was a real shame. IIRC it was developed in like 8 months by a junior team, and the release date got bumped up to coincide with the 2nd CGI turtles movie. It's got the bones of a good TMNT brawler but man is that one undercooked pizza pie.
And of the trilogy of games they put out of licensed stuff it's easily the most depressing.
The transformers one was short but sweet, Korra was a licensed Korra game, but TMNT was such a waste.
The fact it's still one of the best games they've released under the TMNT brand in the last 10 years (if not more like 20) is a sad testament of how bad the games have gotten.
Austin, your videos still kick ass!
I knew from the start that Nickelodeon kart racer 2 was the same game as the first one with a few changes
Guts gave me Game Grumps flashbacks 😂
I think there's hints of Danny Phantom's theme song in the Ghost Zone in NKR2:GP.
My personal worst Nick game was The Rugrats Movie on GBC
Sooooo much screen crunch....
You can see fine, but the camera is poorly programmed.
Austin, as a Nickelodeon fan, you cannot call Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 a quickly pumped out sequel with the amount of deep cut references in the game. there was definitely a ton of more Nickelodeon love put into this game that deserves recognition. The lack of voice clips is definitely a sour spot, but the effort in references to these past shows kept me going.
im lovin the use of danganronpa music during the introduction 💕
The only Rugrats game I've played is Search for Reptaur on the PS1 and it was amazing. So many good memories
That dangaronpa 2 BGM on background is make me sleepy while watching this
I always wanted to play guts on the SNES I still remember when the game drop. I still never played it.
Nickelodeon charges an astronomical amount of money for licensing of their properties, and apparently it's considerably cheaper to just license the likeness of each character than to do likeness and voice together. I also have been lead to understand that if you do license both at the same time, there are specific voice actors you must contract to do the voice work on the game.
Voice Samples would improve that Kart racer. Not make it great, but way more bareable.
You managed to remind me of Project X Zone and the fact that I need to finish the first game and start the second
In search for reptar, the length of the game was random. You have to unlock 2 doors to trigger the final series of levels. The first door required a key for each hole that was there. The second door had like 30 holes or something but required only one key as it only had one key hole in a random spot that was required to progress. So if you kept guessing wrong, you'd have to play more levels, which could be rough because most of those levels were ridiculously long and/or tedious. Best case scenario: you could open the door on your first try. Worst case scenario: you'd have to play every level in the game
I have vivid memories od the rugrats the movie gbc game and playing it obsessively as a kid along with that terrible nicktoons unite for ds
Eyyy, someone finally mentioned Rugrats Scavenger hunt! (it was called Treasure hunt over here!)
Bad Nickelodeon Games 3 with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl let’s go

_we’ll be riiiight back~_
Hey random question, have u lost alot of weight from the beginning of ur channel to now? New fan, cool to see the healthy progression.. enjoy the content
i used to have the naked brothers band for my ds lite man those were the days
I remember those battle scarred gundam figures from when I was a teenager. Never cared for them, but was mad that those figures got multiple hands, yet the regular releases didn't until seed came out.
I literally shouted out loud as soon as you said "Suikoden IV is the best Suikoden". No one knows how to trigger me like you do, friend.
what do you mean that tournament fighter is a mediocre game? it's really a good game, and TMNT from GBA is also pretty good, that one was made by the same people who made the Scott Pilgrim game.
The GBA was the home of innumerable hidden treasures (some made by treasure ironically)
i was terrified you were going to put rugrats royal ransom on the list and i was preparing to throw hands
Holy... I forgot about that Rugrats game but it all came back
Good god, I got a nostalgia blast from that dbz bump and the battle scarred gundams
I will always support a video that has a Sonic R reference in it!
'Flops out'
"The music feels 100% stock." Uh, I would reconsider that if I were you. For these reasons:
• In the A:TLA and TLoK courses, there are some instruments that sound like those you'd hear in those shows' soundtracks.
• In the Ghost Zone, at least the start of the music for that course sounds like the Danny Phantom theme song.
• Dreamland's music sounds fitting for JoJo Siwa.
God I just want a remake of anarchy reigns.... PLEASE
Damn i remember scavenger hunt i loved the mini golf game in it as a kid. I also remember playing a rugrats in paris game?
Wow, Austin. That's one way of starting a video, saying that Suikoden IV is the best Suikoden. You got spunk, kid! I like it!
I'm just glad to hear more people appreciating Project X Zone
"well were taking the, physical challenge!!"
It would be super funny if GameMill Entertainment just out right trolled Austin by putting him as a playable character in Nickelodeon Kartracers 3. :P
I remember owning Rugrats Scavenger Hunt as a kid. I played it a lot but always single-player (didn't have enough friends to play it with) and I also remember the tomb level scaring me because of the atmosphere and music and Angelica constantly stalking the map.
Also, someone referencing Project X Zone in 2020? Thanks for reminding me that I'm still not getting a Project X Zone 3 anytime soon.
Considering how things are going I wouldn't be surprised to see it turned into a horrible mobile game.
Sorry for being a downer.
@@JohnDoe-wq5eu Oof. Still, I'd probably take it.
@@Brawler1993
I respect the honesty. We all have at least one of our guilty pleasures that we would be embarrassed to admit we have.
Mobile gaming is one of those things that's very hit or miss. it's almost all complete garbage these days but there are a few that are at least playable and fun..... until they start kicking in with the gotcha mechanics. Then it's time to delete and move on.
7:07 "how do you fucking land?!?"
Nickelodeon is only second to Disney when it comes to shitty licensed games.
Considering how creative and fun Rugrats is, it's a shame they couldn't get ONE banger. Even though the demo to Royal Ransom will always have a place in my heart.
Search for reptar sort of rocks. Instead of throwing in a bunch of enemies so the game could have more action it stays down to earth, and is mostly nonviolent like the show was. You can beat the whole thing in like an hour, less than three if you want see everything (if you're a rugrats fan you probably will want to)
@@dudestep I haven't seen/ heard of this one before, thanks for the heads up
Royal Ransom was one of my big childhood favorites. I played through that game more times than I can count, haha. While I haven’t personally played it in ages so I can’t speak in regards of the controls, I’ve recently looked back at gameplay of it and honestly? It’s not that bad. Not GREAT, mind you, but for a licensed game aimed at young children, it was pretty alright.
@@BroadwayBrittany Yeah I only remember it from the little demo kiosks at McDonalds but it still left a good enough impression on me.
Search for Reptar, Studio Tour and Royal Ransom are solid games.
about the comcept of a escort mision, this concept comes form the Amiga game Sleepwalker and then Eek the cat use the idea, i think the lengt of stage make the project bad or the control the palyer can have over the character to protect but the idea dont sound bad for me.
Ok for some reason this video went under the radar for me for like 5 month
"Suikoden 4 is the best Suikoden"
Wow what the fuck
There was one good Rugrats game, it was the Rugrats Adventure Game, which was a nice point and click adventure.
Suikoden 4 was my first suikoden, will always have a soft spot in my heart
that baseball game is far from the worst on the Wii
Finally!! I found an creator named Austin too.
I swear that they specifically advertised that there was voice acting in Nick Kart 2
They did not.
I used to play this Rugrats game on the PS2 that I had fond memories of, just can't remember the name. Lol
WOW, you got Nick Kart Racing 3 prediction right.
Hey, Austin Eruption! Can you please cover every Sega game for Nintendo DS in a future video?
The only spooky thing about this video is how bad these Nickelodeon games are.
3:09 dude you could have at least flushed you monster.
That Danganronpa 2 music playing in the background 👌👌👌
