    Union Twist Drill Co. Butterfield Division made a "Derby" model and they have a Collet that holds the Die like that one does.

    Lets go! I look forward to these videos! Still need that grease and oil you use to grease and oil your tools. I think you had said 0w-20 is what you use for oil but I wanna be sure. Thanks again! I actually have about 12 vise grips to clean up and get put way this weekend. All great finds!

      Mobile grease, it is blue in color, the oil is 0w-20 synthetic cheap stuff from Wal Mart, I hope you get all them cleaned up this weekend!

      @@djstoolrestorations sorry to keep bothering you. So you like using the 0w-20 oil over say 3 in 2 oil or ballistol? Thanks

      @@ksajak No bother, I just have so much 0w-20 so thats what I use, I do have 3in1 oil in one of those old metal cans, I will use that too, I say find something that you are comfortable using and stick with it, it will save money over time! if you find one of those old oil cans that I use you will find you like it!

    Sitting in Evapo-Rust for five weeks destroyed that part and probably weaken the rest of the tool as well.

    Where did you get the fiber belt for your belt sander & what grit do you use?

    • @djstoolrestorations
      @djstoolrestorations  Před měsícem

      Amazon and they are Red Label Abrasives, fine, medium, & coarse, the coarse will not work on some types of machines had to warm mine up and try to stretch it ! not really sure of grits!!!!! 3 belts about 35.00 dollars!

    If it smells and it’s old it could be residual Tallow Fat ….🇬🇧
