After almost 15 years my beautiful sweet Muffin passed in her old age. Almost two years ago she was diagnosed with heart disease and was put on medication. Vetmedin was one medication my Vet prescribed to keep her living longer but the symptoms is eventual paralyzing hind legs.
I am grateful I got to spend the last few days of her life taking care of her as she died naturally of age.God was faithful to let her pass at home in peace.

💗🦴 Good Evening Friends. This is the hardest video that I have ever had to edit. So fresh in my heart the grief that I feel for my Muffin. Her passing has left a deep hole in my heart and editing this video was an act of Love. I hope that those of you who are going through this immense grief of a beloved pet will allow yourselves to grieve for your loved one. The feeling is as intense as losing a human . A dog that sat by my side where I was 24/7 because I work at home and traveled with her. She became a part of my daily routine and it is hard to break habits but I know she is in a wonderful place now and someday I will see her again. If you enjoyed watching Muffin over the years please give her a thumbs up.🐶

Oh Lidia I am so very for your loss. Our pet's are family Muffin was such an awesome dog. I lost two of my cats 2 and 3 years ago and I'm still missing them to this day. God Bless Muffin she was a trooper. She will be missed

I'm so sorry for your loss. I loved seeing Muffin, because I had my lovely red Cocker Spaniel Lexi, their personalities were so much alike. I lost my baby in the same manner you lost yours. I prayed she would pass in her sleep and she did last January as I was getting ready for church. I was being baptized that day after putting it off for many years so I couldn't miss. I was so broken I was crying all the way through church and we buried her afterwards. She was a few months shy of her 15th birthday.
It's so hard to lose our furry friends, but she's full of life on the Rainbow Bridge with our beloved pets. Goodbye Muffin. So sorry for your loss of your beloved Muffins, Lydia

Muffin was a lucky dog to have had you as her mom. and you are a lucky person for having her as your, friend, companion and fur baby. The only sad part of owning a pet is having to say goodbye! May God comfort you in your loss. Rest in peace and perfection sweet Muffin!

There's nothing more caring that you could have done than what you did ! Muffin was allowed to die gracefully and with love surrounding her. If only we all could be that lucky.

This was the most heart rending video I've seen in a long time. I buried my 15 year old German Shepherd this past June. My 16 year old cat Furbis is on his way out. He could go any day now. After watching your video, I'm crying my eyes out. Our critters are waiting for us in heaven. I still have a young cat, a young dog and his seven year old dam to lovingly care for.

Muffin was such a sweet dog and couldn't have had a more beautiful life with you. She was loved and you know she knew it, just as she loved you and will always love you. Lydia, my deepest most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved & loyal companion Muffin. She traveled, explored, saw & sniffed many things&places. She received love and gave love. She always had a soft bed (several), a full & happy belly and never was alone nor sad. She takes all of this with her. Time stands still in heaven...and it will seem like no time has passed when she sees you walking over the Rainbow Bridge into paradise. I wish I could relieve your pain for you. We have had several pets pass away over the years and each one left a hole in our hearts. The Lord will heal your heart in time. We felt their presence for a long time, and it helped knowing they were near. Our pets teach us to be better persons. They are truly a gift from God. I will pray for your well-being thru this traumatic time.

My heart goes out to you. I am 63 and have had to bury way to many and i always say i am not going to get another dog and i have had to rescue 3 different dogs from bad people that hurt them bad. All different people. I dont like to see dogs being neglected and hurt physically or dumped to starve to death. So i bring them home and they show me more love than many people i know. The pain is over for Muffin and you gave her a life full of love. She will be waiting for you one day at the rainbow bridge. Please take care. I am a grown man sitting here crying because i know the pain you feel.

Oh dear, I read this message above after I typed a message below to you. Sorry for your fur baby loss. I started to type in the middle of the video. I feel for you Lydia, it takes about a good year to get over the worst of missing them everywhere you turn and they are not following you, sometimes I still think I hear them. I taught them to say mama. It has been 2014, and 2021 for my loss. I cried right along with you in this video. Your baby is in peace watching over you. I too believe what you said, God was preparing you with Picket, or yes, it might have happened with Muffin if he didn't. Thank God he did. Thank you for sharing your private moments.

Yes it is they come into are life’s for a reason to teach us to have patience, love and compassion . For a living being. So now we have three labs a chocolate lab, a black lab and a yellow lab and they help with moving on.

What a sweet dog - little Muffin. The clips you shared of her were so cute- the bugs and reading glasses brought a smile through the tears. Losing a friend is so hard. I'm glad you have her there on your property. Its comforting, I find. What a gift God gave us in animals! We love deeply and mourn deeply. I'm glad Muffin shared so many wonderful years of adventure with you. Be patient with yourself as you work through your grief. Memories will bring tears now but smiles will be around the corner.

I'm so sorry Lydia the end is near for your baby. You're a good mommy. I too gave mine most anything they wanted near the end. I always gave them meat with no spices, and steamed veggies with only a wee bit of dog food each day. At the end It might have been a cheesy or two lol, a bit of vanilla ice cream at the end. Half boiled egg each morning with cottage cheese. etc. Sneak in half an extra boiled egg for the older one that was near the end at the time, without my other one that was 5 years younger at the time. I feel for you and her Lydia, she knows she is loved. Perhaps she had a stroke, near the end they don't want to pass alone. Take care, I pray she goes in her sleep peacefully with no extra pain.

With 2 dead chickens in 1 year, a cat I buried in 2013 and now Muffin it is starting to look like that here too. :)

Sorry to hear that but know that if the dog is not in pain it’s ok to let them die peacefully at home . It took 3 days which seems to be the norm . I struggled with the euthanasia and God gave me peace to let him, not a vet handle it . I’m glad I obeyed :)

Muffin….. 😢This is a heartbreak. I am so sorry for your loss, Lydia. Death we know is part of life, yet it never gets easier when so much love, and gratefulness is involved. Pets, especially hold a specific place in our hearts because they love us unconditionally, no matter what!!! You could stink, look terrible, and act crazy, and they wouldn’t care, lol! Not saying this is me, or you, for that matter, but you know what I mean,Lol! My pup boy Mason, also passed just 4 months ago. He was 14, and my best friend. It was unbelievable pain. The pain was also magnified because as it turned out, his death was also unknowingly to me, a catalyst to grieve the losses of other things, situations, and people I’ve had in life, but that I had not yet properly grieved for. So God knew what he was doing with me. I cried for 16 days straight, everyday. I reflected on the past, and I would still acknowledge my pup Mason, and would say good night to him every night like I always did, even though I knew he wasn’t there. But then one night I didn’t say good night, though I didn’t realize that until the very next day. I knew then it was spirit attempting to move me forward. I knew I was finally accepting the loss. I still think about him everyday, and miss him, but I know he is at peace, and with no pain, and running across the rainbow bridge🌈 with other pups. Mason, gave me a lot in life because he gave me the love , and expectance that I wasn’t always getting in other areas of my life. . He’s everywhere now! And I love that idea. Just like your Muffin,:) Thank you, for making this video and honoring sweet Muffin, like you did. But more importantly, Lydia, that you were willing to show the vulnerability of what true grief looks like. Your pretty brave for that. 🙏🏼🎈❤

It's not easy losing a fur baby. Recently on the 25th of August I had to have my 13-year-old Chihuahua put down she had cancer that invaded her bowel and shut her bowel down and with her old age the vet didn't want to try to put her through surgery and neither did I so when this happened we had to have her put down and then 5 days later we had to have her brother who was the same age put down he started having Grandmal seizures he had one in the morning and we took him to the vet he gave him some medication and he had four more between 10:00 in the morning and 5:00 the following morning and so had to take him in and have him put down so yeah losing a loved one a little fur baby is rough

I try to give my dog glusomen for the bones a raw organic unrefined Coconut oil a teaspoon everyday
Sounds great! Coconut oil also helps repel fleas. :)
It's been said that dogs don't go to heaven because they don't have a soul. I call BS. You can look into the eyes of a dog and know that they have more soul than many human beings. I have had to shoot both of my dogs. 1 3 years ago, and 1 2 years ago. To this day I have not gotten other dogs and I miss mine so so much. I think of them daily and am looking forward to being with them again someday. If they don't go to heaven, I hope and pray I go where the good dogs go. So sorry for your loss !!! I know the pain all to well.
I too see more soul in a dogs eyes than in many humans I have met. Don’t be discouraged in getting another dog. We honor each one for what they gave us in each chapter of our lives. When we evolve as humans God will find us the next dog we need to be our companions. :)
