Hello Friends ! Now that Spring has arrived it is time to get this TruckCamper ready for some traveling but first a Test Run after repairs and for Sitka to find her place in the TruckCamper . đâđŠș
Nice video, you're doing a great job with Sitka and she is such a beautiful dog. I'm happy that she has a happy and loving home with you. She'll be your protector, for sure. I was wondering what kind of hot dogs do you give her because I'd like to get the same for my shelter dog who I'm also trying to train. Thank you đ and I'm looking forward to seeing your next video. đ đ
You are so kind thank you . I give her turkey hot dogs preferably no nitrates , sometimes beef but those cost more. I cook the entire package and freeze them . I just pull one out before training and cut them up into slices. She focuses better on the training with these treats than anything else Iâve given her. I hope it works out for you to with your dog . :)
Lydia, People are advising visitors to Alaska to take $5,000 Cash or more for travel EXPENSES! There is a very long lonely road to get there! The stores & gas stations will not take Credit cards only CASHâŒïžTake Care, God Bless you & gorgeous Sikaâ„ïžđčđ·đ»đžđŒđȘ»
Thanks for the update . Iâll be researching my route next month with my projected stops along the way. :)
I would definitely put a dog seatbelt collar on her that way she will not interfere with your driving and you both will be safe
I agree after this test run she needs to be strapped in until she learns to settle down over time . :)
@@SimplyRVing as a truck driver Iâve had several dogs in the semi with me and thatâs what I have done a lot safer for both and a lot less distraction while you drive
I totally agree! Great suggestion. đđŻ
I would not even let her sit in your lap not even once. She needs to know that that is not allowed ever.
I love when she sits on my lap but at times itâs wrong . Those boundaries are what she and I are discovering now that she is a puppy. :)
I have a black dog, similar size. She loves riding shotgun. Now she mostly sleeps while on the road. She perks up when the vehicle slows down and turns.
I think she'll get used to it.
I think so too that sheâll settle into travel life once we go out more often . :)
I love spending the day with you and Sitka. What a beautiful girl. You are training her so very well. She listens to you. I was surprised to see how she could get up onto your bed. You re so calm. You are making a perfect camping and hiking pal.
Thank you so much! I enjoy the process of memory keeping the life of this dog on video. Something I couldnât do with my previous dog Muffin.
It was not easy to get her up there and getting down was scary something we will have to practice before I can film it . :)
Great experiences for everyone. đđŻđđđ±đ·
What happened to your ankle? Hope it gets better.
I twisted my ankle coming down a ladder painting and fell on my wrist and fractured my wrist . My ankle still has pain a year later . :)
@@SimplyRVing Well, I hope you get better soon.
@@SimplyRVing Were you on crutches?
Nope Dr didnât do anything for it thatâs why itâs so messed up after a year.
Get yourself a code scan car reader. About a hundred dollars or so. That way you can read your codeâs yourself and then let your mechanic know that you know what the code is, and that could help you with your vehicles if they arenât running right, and or the check engine light goes on. This can save you money as well so that a mechanic knows he canât try to rip you off. đđŒđ©”
Iâve been meaning to get one but my head hurts from all the choices on Amazon. :)
