- If you’re playing Mafia on classic difficulty, you may have come across a very hard race. I too got here and failed and failed and failed. Years later I found a video or two that showed similarly what you’re seeing here but the spot in which I was showed to park wasn’t working for me.
I found that parking where I do in this video causes the drivers to not crash into you so hard and allows you to keep your sideways position. Even still, it may take multiple tries. Don’t give up because once this race is done, the rest of the game isn’t so bad. I still died a lot finishing this game but this race… this is the hard part. Keep at it and don’t give up. That trophy has your name on it.
Works 8/17/2024. Thanks man, was struggling with the other cheese guides. The position where you put the car was the best of all of them and it worked first try.

Can confirm after trying other guides on this method, this one worked first try, even with accidentlly lettings two cars out ahead of me.

ADVICE: Patience is key and copy this video EXACTLY. After dozens of failed attempts I looked carefully at the exact position of the car in this video and replicated it and voila! I got it first time. Now, in the first pile up roughly 5 cars escaped and continued the race but do not restart, just wait for them to do another lap and then smash into the back of the pile. Again, a few cars escaped and continued the race but eventually they all bundled up exactly like this video (although none tipped over). Roughly 4/5 cars at the front of the pack began to emit dark smoke and were stuck in place (not sure if they had broken down as a result of damage or if it glitches out) but I moved my car out the way and the front cars did not move. Then complete the race yourself being very mindful when passing by this corner and you'll have it in no time. Again, patience is key, keep replicating this exact method and I have no doubt you'll get it eventually. Put a podcast on while doing it to distract yourself so it doesn't become mind numbly boring,

Ok, that is brilliant^^ I knew, that, if you can make the other cars somehow stuck on the track, you can achieve an easy win. But i never thought of THAT
I’m definitely not the first to do this. I was trying this method but in a slightly different spot but it wasn’t working for me so I tried this location and it worked much easier. It was the only part of the classic difficulty I couldn’t do myself.

Yes this was the spot for me. On my 2nd lap i saw the pile explode and 1 was out of the tracks. 3rd lap the pile was even more empty but none driving.

Another tip on this mission is there are 3 scripted exits from the race. They happen 1 per lap. The first car is the car you sabotage in the mission before, then two more cars will wreck on each subsequent lap. All you need to secure victory is to pile up 12 racers in the turn. As you pass them each lap, the game will subtract the additional car from the pile.
Giving you 1st place.
I wouldn't be happy paying to watch this kind of a race, if I lived in The City of Lost Heaven (oddly long name for a city, tbh). 😅
It took some time, a few tries, and what little ounce of sweat, tears, and toil I had concerning this damn race, but it worked! IT FLIPPIN' WORKED!!!

Now, I can get back to completing the rest of the game on Classic difficulty. The other missions can't be as bas as this one, especially since I have high aim assist (in advance for "A Trip To The Country").

Edit: I did it, your best bet is pushing a car to its side so it blocks the others, once you know that car is blocking them you’re home free, some will escape, but will just end up back in the pile.

This does work. It took me a few tries, and i managed to do it. 1 racer broke away, but he was a scriptes crash and wiped on the massive turn you take before the finish line.
If you see people magically ahead of you. They might be scripted crashes. Otherwise you need to redo it
It felt like the game spawned two cars in front of me on lap 3. But another crashed out, and the other who i think was supposed to crash got stuck on the pile again.
Just got it thanks to this video! Pay attention to the exact position of the car in this video. I was estimating and doing it close the first few times, and wasn't getting it. Recreating the exact position of this video had me get it on the first try. ALSO a few cars got through the first time, but there was still a pretty significant traffic jam that those drivers got stuck during the 2nd or 3rd laps. So don't give up right away if you don't stop them all on that first lap. As long as you still have a traffic jam taking up most of that corner, the others will probably get stuck trying to pass it coming back around.

Work 9/6/24. Been on this mission a whole week. What were they thinking??? Also, i did have my game on the hard difficulty. Had to switch to classic, then switch back adter beating it

I Changed the driving mode to standard instead of simulation and won this race legitimately and easier

The best thing to do is to set the difficulty to easy and before entering the finish line change to the difficulty you had set (if you set it to classic you will get a trophy). This way you will pass this race without problems.

That doesn’t work. I specifically tried it years ago when I got the platinum.
At least on PS5 it works perfectly, tested just this week. Trophy “Supercharged”. Anyway, the important thing for me was to manage to advance and pass the damn race, which has an absurd difficulty.

Easy mission played it on classic, you just gotta know how to drive. The driver in 1st will crash on the second to last turn, and then you'll win in 1st place.
wish that Joelemz woulda looked this video up sooner because it took him 30+ attempts to get past this race on Classic
If you don't know who Joelemz is He's a CZcamsr who tries to platinum every game he owns
After 20 attempts trying to get the ai to stop I finally got 2 race cars to flip over but even when I did that they some how seem to get back moving again once I drive around, so I decided to give up cheating and won the race pretty easily on classic lol. Spent all that time trying to rig the race and won playing normally😂

@@luxyors I watched a tutorial on tips to win. What really helped is taking the grass short cut and pressing A(X on PlayStation) when you’re about to lose control. Don’t over press it tho. Also tap the brake to slow down instead of slamming it. The AI will stay relative to your speed, I noticed when I took turns slow they did as well. Also the AI will crash here and there. I tried 30-40 times the cheat way and passed normally in my 7-8th attempt normally on classic.

@@its.Sarthak101 I feel that there is some spots where they have more speed vs other spots where they slow down more. Play around with slightly different spots to see where they slow the most. I feel the spot I used is best but somewhere else might work better for you. Other than that, it’s a bit of trial and error I’m afraid. Keep at it. It’ll work one of the times.

The race was a second try on classic difficulty its not hard guys try with a controller
This method is surely hard as well, after 20 attempts I finally made it, compared with the race itself this is way easier and worth to try, thanks for the guide!
on PS5 you can switch difficulty before the ending and still get the trophy classic race. It works on 20/08/2024

@@count23all Not sure. After I beat this race, I beat the story, found all the foxes, got the platinum trophy, and deleted it. I don’t think they did, but I’m not 100%.

Same exact thing is happening to me. I'm seriously considering uninstalling this game and moving onto Mafia 2. If I wanted to play a difficult race I'd play a fucking racing game.
If the public says this is the hardest mission and given the fact that I cleared it in the sober way in 3rd try.... I think I am ready for souls-like genre...

I have been trying for hours and have only achieved a nearly broken hand. Lost my past two attempts to a single guy who I seem to never see and who never gets tangled up with the other cars. I’ll update whenever I finish this, if I do.
Did finish it legit, was hard as hell but after a while of barely skidding and losing, I was able to have no major setbacks on my final attempt. This mission hurt more than my ex breaking up with me lmao

Hey man, attempting this now. Any tips for what went right? I’m trying the same exact method and it feels like a complete crapshoot to get the right circumstances for this to happen? @@bedroomdrummer Both corners of this corkscrew turn here have the NPC cars slowing down. You can try the other part of the curve there but I had more cars go around me at that spot. The spot shown in the video is the only one that worked. Even that took me multiple tries. I feel it’s all about finding that perfect position in these spots. Keep at it and it’ll happen eventually. The sigh of relief after you get this will be the best feeling ever.

@@internetcriminal5652 Far as I know it should still work. I’d have to look up and see if they made any updates. There are other videos of similar technique that are way older than my video so I doubt they would patch it now. Let me know if you get it to work.

This race was easy just learn to drive…
Idk why i cant get the cars to pile up the same way i had them all stuck at one point and on the final lap i javw no idea what happened but they all got loose making me lose again
@@Riddlywiddly That happened to me a few times. They wiggle around going backwards and forwards and sometimes they get unstuck. Keep trying. They’ll crash in a group that will work and you’ll lap them. Unfortunately it can take multiple tries.
I refunded the game because of this mission and they gave extra money for complaining

@@dominoleafy8157 I had multiple times where the cars would hit me and go around. Keep trying and you’ll get a lucky combo of the NPCs crashing in a way that will allow you to leave them and start lapping. Keep at it.

Trying to replicate this in version 1.04 of the game and every time I return to the spot with the crashed cars they have disappeared and are racing as normal on the track. Am I doing something wrong?
@@schulz-xo8fz I did notice on a few tries that as they move back and forth they can sometimes get unstuck and continue racing. I don’t believe they disappear and respawn.
There is also other videos of this technique that were uploaded before mine that might be of more help. Just keep at it and try to get them totally jammed so you can lap them. You got this.

This mission made me uninstall the game plus there are no body bullet hole decals.
the easiest way is to just drive normally. the driving mechanics in this game are really good and it's not as hard to drive as many say it is.
