    This is one of the best beginner videos I've seen. Exactly how my physical therapist told me to do these, and it helps to watch the video to keep myself on track. Too many of what are labeled beginner exercises are way too much for people suffering from a chronic illness and need to take things slowly. Thank you!

    oh my god that feels amazing! When you did the advanced version, that was it for me, my entire back all the muscles that has been bothering me for a lifetime all felt good at the same time, hurt, but a good pain.. I had no idea it was all because of anterior pelvic tilt which I was born with. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I wish I could download this somehow and set it as my alarm video to remind me to do this every morning. Also been living with sciatica and pretending that it is not painful because people don't care. Was never been able to wear high heels because of this pelvic tilt and sciatica so painful in lower back and my entire right leg is numbed, a shooting pain, a pinched nerve, my right arm is numbed, neck, shoulder, and when I put it over my head like you showed it just felt instantly amazing a huge relief. You are awesome! I've been researching why my leg was numbed and so painful, was looking for an answer and after several videos and stretches I landed on your video. Thanks for sharing.

    • @takeoffyourblinkers
      @takeoffyourblinkers Před 7 lety

      You will probably find your sciatica will improve over time as APT is a common cause of it.

    The incredible good thing about this is that in that position (with the arms straight ahead) you are also applying a stretch to your lats (maybe palms up would help even more). So in conclusion with one single exercise you are stretching the lats and strengthening glutes+abs/core, all super important for those that want to fix anterior pelvic tilt..correct me if I'm wrong :)

    I like it I will try this exercise later today. Anterior pelvic tilt is because of hip flexors pulling too hard or they become short because of sitting for hours on end right? So developing strong hamstrings to help pull that back would help wouldn't it?

    When you tilt your pelvis should the posterior pelvic tilt be exaggerated or should I find a neutral spine? I find that if I find a neutral spine it’s easier for me to engage my TVA rather than posteriorly tilting all the way

      Doesn't matter- It will be fixed, and you won't believe how much you will like to workout :) . I'm 30 and started about 4 months ago, It's not fixed but it is getting so much better. And for the first time in my life i like working out, because now i'm working on the right things!
      Watch more videos, try more drills, and soon you'll build your own routine. It will make you feel great and change will be noticeable rather shortly.

    i have a problem. this "works" the first couple times i do it, but on the third or fourth rep, it becomes extremely challenging. its as if my mind does not have the wiring to go into posterior pelvic tilt. it just compensates by over flexing my quads, external hip rotaters, etc, everything except my transverse abs. any solution on how to rewire to learn basic ppt? is this the most basic movement one can do?

    • @Strengthside
      @Strengthside  Před 6 lety

      If your body can do it for a few reps then it's just a matter of training it more. There's nothing wrong with you, it just takes time and consistent effort to change patterning in the body. Most people don't put in the required effort.
