Just drove by it this weekend as I passed through Farmington and Shiprock. It is stunning being a high jagged rock formation in the middle of a flat dusty plain. I can imagine how out of this world it would appear on a full moonlit night.
That I would like to see. 👍
@O Aaand, I would like to see that too. 👍
How on earth does this have over 3k views but only 108 likes (inc mine)? How can anyone not like this? Even the music is beautiful, spiritual even. When I see vids of landscapes like this, I am moved to tears, wondering how this terrain once looked, who are we really and why is the truth being withheld! I feel honoured to have been invited as a guest to share your awesome travels and discovery! This was incredible! Thank you so much my friend. x
Thank you so much for the kind words. I agree... landscapes like this leave me in awe. The stories they could tell us if they could speak words and we were willing to listen.
I agree with you. Absolutely amazing and stunning!
I think people are so mesmerized they forget to leave a thumbs up lol
You have to be signed into CZcams to like or comment on a video. That might be a partial explanation.
people be gob smacked friend
Wow great flying! Fantastic video! I see a melted destroyed, almost beyond recognition a fortress wall and a magnificent castle. I’ve been here before, but now my eyes are trained to see what i couldn’t see then. I’d love BOTG now that i can see.
Thank you! It has always reminded me of a cool, creepy castle! It sure does pique the imagination!
The new series of Nikon cameras and drones have created a new science, one of reality not philosophy. Thanks for the footage.
@@timothydillow3160 Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
+1 Jon Levi needs to do one on this spot.
@@DayneMichael Definitely!
Nice footage and editing. Seems like you're about to get a lot more views on this one after Jon Levi's video today, April 2nd 2023. Your video was suggested to me after watching Jon's video and looking up this place on maps. Cheers!
Thank you! Yeah, you’re definitely right! Views have dwarfed my other similar content! I watched his video too. Very cool stuff. Thanks for the kind words!
I thought Jon Levi said that he wasn't able to use a drone to view this.
@@edwardlazich1140 I don't know which drone each is using, but like Jon I feel like I wasted hundreds of dollars on my DJI drone which won't operate in most locations due to being GPS enforced.
Just watched Jon’s new video last night. Very interesting.
it was suggested to me too after I watched Jon's video. Really amazing seeing all the close up details, wow!
For me as an European this whole area was completely surreal. We drove from the monument valley to Gallup, crossing into Colorado and I have never seen anything like this before. The vast nature, the rocks, the heat, the loneliness, this was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my family. …. And the Burger King in Shiprock was also quite an experience 😅 ….
So happy you enjoyed the area!
That formation at 1:11 looks like a giant stump. Cool!
I have driven past shiprock but has no idea it was that tall. Very amazing.
Thank you!
Who else was this recommended to due to watching Jon Levi's last video?! Melted buildings, melted walls. Pure gold!
Saw that too! He clearly shows that the so called lava formation or tree theory is bs cause you can see the same polygonal/cyclopean wall design that can be found all around the worlds it just melted like wax!
CZcams threw it at me, it senses your interests and like magic other offerings come up. Yup, this is a good one!
Jon Levi...most excellent.
me!
Jon Levi me too. Absolutely stunning. I want to cry in front of my screen. We know nothing.
That will be the closest I may ever get to seeing ship rock again. I have traveled by there a few times in my life and always wished I could see Shiprock up close. Thank you.
Thank you!
Wow I lived 15 years in red River never knew this place seeing it with drone is the only way to really see what a thing is. Awesome video thanks for uploading it. Great job❤
Thank you!
I use to go to Red River with my family in the 1970s and 80s. I loved that little town. I haven't been there in thirty years. I came across four moose one night in the early 1990s walking back to my motel room from a bar. They were huge.
@@douglasdixon524 Nat Geo did a thing years ago said it was America's best kept little secret. Great little place 💗 dear bear elk ducks walk down main street lol.. We moved to their living room
What a Wonderful World, with a mysterious past. I don't see geology, but structures hit by a cataclysmic blast, with a fervent Heat that melted the elements like so much wax.
Wow! Hadn't thought of it that way. I love your take on it!
Shiprock was once a mother tree.. now just a petrified tree stump. There is evidence of super giant mother trees all over the world. So sad.
@@YouMustQuestionEverything yes the roots are visible
@@YouMustQuestionEverything no its not and there is 0 evidence
@@YouMustQuestionEverything I believe so. A very rotten stump ,compared to Devils Tower. And the walls leading to a once great tree city 👋🏻😎
You have afforded us all a great privilege with the perfect score too. It was captivating. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoyed it!
I love this video it is absolutely breathtaking ❤❤❤
Thank you! Much appreciated!
I live in New Mexico, and this view is stunning.
Thank you!
It looks like a stump of an old, already petrified, massive tree... from our ancient world... we are now living in a ravaged mining pit.
Can't argue with with you there!
Loves me some New Mexico. By the way, this was freaking AWESOME! The bit from 3:34 to 3:52 when the drone comes up over the edge and pans down and then out across the valley, the ridgeline looking like the some giant beast cresting out of the earth - very nice.
It does! That’s my favorite part of the video. Thank you! 😊
Looks just like a giant tree that broke off. Check out the floor below. Some of it is kinda peaky. They are going away from the trunk in a wagon wheel pattern. Are these branches that fell off?
I'm not sure. When I read about it, I'm told it's magma, but it does look like a giant tree. I wonder if anyone truly knows or if we're all just guessing.
@@dronebastard1049 John Levi made a video just yesterday. Seems to be a wall of sorts
Stunning footage and soundtrack…
Many thanks!! 🍀🌎🍀
Thank you 🙏!
Great footage!!
Melted building!
Ha! Thank you!
Or a tree. A big tree!!!
@@telx2010 I lean towards tree stump-- makes more sense. Angels ordered to cut them down.
Huge tree,God sent angels to cut the big trees so people couldn't escape the flood!!!
Magnificent!!!... the views... the music... BRAVO❣️
Thank you!🙏 ☺️
I love this. I used to work in that area all the time. I've seen Shiprock in every kind of weather. Was always fascinating to me. I even broke down in Shiprock once. Used to be Hwy 666 that ran by there, but they changed the number to 491.
Yeah, it’s a fascinating place for sure! I can only imagine how it looks in a fresh blanket of snow! Thank you! 😉
the comment section is full of beautiful interpretations of this landscape. that makes me feel good to read
Definitely! I never imagined when I shot it that there’d be so many great comments!
Wow, that’s the biggest tree trunk can you imagine?🤔🫵🏼
The Erdtree, maybe?
What a cool ass rock, regardless of its past it certainly is a modern wonder!! The wall looks a little to much like a WALL for me to think natural geology did that.
The giant rock looks like a petrified stump. It also looks very similar to a stump that broke off and decayed over time. With the legends of a water wall consuming the land over a mile high it’s the only thing i could think of that would break such a grand tree.
It just takes my breath away... Such a beautiful viewing! Thank you so much for this!
I loved shooting it! Thank you for watching!
What an underated site-if at all, that is. Recently finding out about this site (now) and another one titled 'Sage Wall' in Montana proves there are still little known, yet VERY worthwhile places in the US to explore...and ponder over if they were made by the hands of man or not.
Now I gotta check out Sage Wall! Thank you!
That was magnificent to view, so glad Iv found this channel and look forward to learning and seeing more. Thank you
Thank you!
i saw this from the road when i drove through monument valley many years ago. it's really cool to see it again from above with the aid of a drone. thnx for the show.
Absolutely! So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Beautiful, amazing photography! Thank you for sharing. Looks like a place from another world.
It certainly does! Thank you for the kind words!
Your footage is phenomenal and presented very well. The music is so intense looking at the beginning of time.
Thank you! I appreciate that tremendously!
I have driven by this many, many times through the decades. I am always impressed with the desolation of this part of the country, and it's beauty. Nice to see it up close.
Great description of the southwest. Desolate and beautiful!
Watched twice! TY! Seeing it up close is most wonderful!
Thank you!
Once great structures. A cataclysm A war maybe. Thankyou for this majesty
Thank you!
Outstanding footage!
Thank you!
Thank you DB! Just found your site and immediately subscribe. The music is beautiful and complimented the video just right!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Wonderful view of this iconic landscape

Great camera work. Nice job
Thank you!
I've only seen shiprock from the highway. This is amazing.
Thank you! ☺️
Very, very nice footage. I first saw Ship Rock in 1964. This video does great honor to it. Thank you. It is beautiful.
Thank you for the great compliment!☺️☺️
Extraordinary footage! I loved it.
Thank you!
Looks like a tree with root runners from above.
It does. Seeing it from above gave a completely different perspective I didn't expect.
A Sunning video! So very beautiful and mesmerizing! The music along with it just enhances the views! Thank you for sharing something that we will never be able to be so close to as this.
Thank you so much! ☺️☺️
The overhead shot really made it look like it's a tree.
Excellent footage breath taking and that looks so much like a tree stump.
thank you!
Thank you for Shiprock/ New Mexico.
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
Beautiful footage! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!☺️☺️☺️
Awesome footage!
Thank you for sharing!
Keep up the great work!
Appreciate that very much! Thank you!☺☺
What an out of place structure
Spectacular video!! Thank you for allowing us to appreciate the truly majestic formation we call Shiprock. I had no idea what I was missing. An attempt to see Shiprock on a trip to New Mexico was thwarted by a chemical spill in the vicinity which resulted in a very lengthy detour. Your beautiful video more than makes up for it. ☮️
So sorry your visit was thwart, especially by such an unfortunate event. Thank you so much for your kind words! ☺️☺️☺️
I got as close as I could to this with a zoom camera from the road. The "wall" around it looks like it was built rather than formed.
It definitely does!
Beautiful. Lived in that part of the world many years ago. Such a stunning sight.
Yes it is! So cool and mysterious looking!
What a crazy place! Enchanting video.
Than you!
K😄
Amazing! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you!
Amazing footage! Thank you!
Thank you!
Wonderful old Tree!
So wonderfull,Mother Earth🥰🙏💜
Wow it's like all that's left is a remnant of the road or bridge leading up to that skyscraper from the time before the end of the world. According to a lot of indigenous people around the world we've been through three cataclysmic events that ended civilization. So beautiful thanks, I pray I get out there one day.
Thank you! I hope you make it out there too! It’s a cool place.
The Navajo name for it is Tsé Bit’ a’ í. The Winged Rock.
I could only see it from the road at sunset. Very beautiful.
You did a good job with this. Ahéhee’ ( thank you)
Thank you! What a beautiful native name it has! Thank you the kind words, especially the ones in Navajo!
Yadilah!!
😅😂
that's a much more appropriate name
Ancient, giant tree.. Biblical trees 💚🕊️
Fairytale Nonsense
amazing video, thanks so much for sharing this!
Thank you!
Gorgeous and dramatic footage. I like the Navajo name better than the more pedestrian "Shiprock."
I agree 100%. Thank you!
What a wonderful event for me; glad you got close. Have driven by Ship Rock a few times and each time is fascinating. Thanks for your great work. : = }}

Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thank you!

Fantastic drone footage! Reminds me of the CZcams video - Jeb Corliss and Luigi Cani - Ball Pyramid! - which was shot from wing suits off the coast of New Zealand.
OMG! Just watched it. Unbelievable! Thank you!!
Beautiful footage
Thank you very much!
That was amazing!
Thank you!
Unfreakingbelievable! I am speechless!
Thank you! 😊
Wow 😲 just so beautiful breathtaking ✔️😌
Thank you 🙏
I’m open to discussing the possibilities of what this was. I’m leaning towards tree and the long ridge stretches are either long branches or roots.
I love the idea of giant trees, with shade reaching miles.
@@sayyestolife333 7-10 mile tall trees. Wouldn’t that be something? Like you said, the shade.
Would the roots be so straight like a wall? And the close up shots on the very top look like red brick. I am fascinated.
@@Emily_Marilyn Erosion, deterioration? I’m honestly not sure. Were those walls and maybe the Tower of Babel? I’m leaning towards tree, but dang.
Some natives say ancient castle
That's a sight I've seen nearly everyday of my life. Nataani Nez.
This is awesome! Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you!😊
Amazing footage and rock formations. That straight ridge is particularly weird and interesting. Also great place to shoot a sci fi or fantasy movie.
Thank you! I'd love to see a modern sci fi movie filmed there! Such a mysterious looking formation
Beautiful view
Thank you!
Amazing footage
