Alaska is such a beautiful State. Thank you so much for sharing all of your adventures. This video was truly amazing! You did an incredible job with the photography. There are so many incredible parts to this video. I especially loved the shot at 07:12. The reflection of the iceberg on the water was amazing, with the light coming through the center. As I went through this video, there are so many parts that you could turn into fantastic shorts. Everything from glacier falling, sea otter, orcas. I hope that you didn't get totally rained out today. Have a great afternoon.
Thank you for your kind words. This is one of my favorite videos, as it's also my favorite destination! Now that you mention the shorts, you're absolutely correct. I hadn't thought of that before now. Gonna start making some shorts! Hope you're staying dry also! It's starting to rain lightly, but we're supposed to get some of the hurricane rain.

I was at shiprock the first week of June 2024 and there was sensation in that area that is unexplainable and it all came back to me again as i watched this video. It really is quite amazing and peacefully.

You really brought out the magic of Lake Tahoe in this video. I love the views of the water. It is always wonderful to see the incredible colors from the air. It was great to fly around the island. Island are always interesting to explore and they give us a lot of mystery. The best view were looking up towards the snowcapped mountains. This was amazing. I love the waterfall shots at the end. For me as an European this whole area was completely surreal. We drove from the monument valley to Gallup, crossing into Colorado and I have never seen anything like this before. The vast nature, the rocks, the heat, the loneliness, this was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my family. …. And the Burger King in Shiprock was also quite an experience 😅 ….

Definitely had a great time there. I've loved planes as long as I can remember, especially fighters. The power and agility is crazy. I can't imagine the amount of training and skill those pilots have to undergo to be so precise. Just amazing! Have a great night! 😊😊

Very cool. I can't watch that stuff without recalling the times things have gone horribly wrong at air shows, though. Where was this one?
No doubt. I'm always holding my breath when they get so close. This one was this past Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. Going to see the Blue Angels in Dayton this weekend.

Lake Tahoe looks fantastic. The view of the snow capped mountains is truly spectacular from the lake. I really enjoyed your flying around the rocks. The stone along the shore is magical. Thanks! 🙏 Definitely! I’d love to build a cabin right there! We have thought about several different locations after visiting them. I’m partial to the Rocky Mountains, especially Montana and Wyoming, while my wife really loves Florida. She wins! Florida is much more affordable with better weather so we do plan on retiring there, though the scenery just can’t compare. 😔
I used to buy those "best places to live" almanacs and I'd pour over them for hours on end. I had multiples of those over the years and there was a time when I thought Reno/Lake Tahoe would be just about perfect. It's not perfect though when your family is all living on EST. I'm in NM and I like it here (except when it's HOT) but it's such an ordeal to go home and see family. I just got back from a trip to see the cluster of family I have in Indy. I am convinced that I am cursed with flying. I wanted to tell you I bought a cheap drone. You asked me once what my drone budget was and the fact is, I'm so "underprivileged" that I don't have budgets for such things. But I think I got a decent one for just playing around with. I'll go fetch the make and model. GPS Drone with Camera for Adults 4K with Brushless Motors, Auto Return Home, Long Flight Time and Distance,5G WIFI Transmission, Smart FPV Drone RC Quadcopter for Beginners Kids (Under 250G) But the sad truth is that I have absolutely terrible follow-through on things like this. On anything, in fact. I just buy things that I think I'll find interesting or will benefit me and then they sit unused and unlearned for a long time. But I will make myself play with it and take it for a flight and when I do, I'll post the video and let you know. Those boulders in Lake Tahoe are so fascinating, aren't they? Such a lovely place. ~ Cheryl
I thought once I'd like to live in that area but it's very expensive and, during certain seasons, very crowded. I always thought the area should have been protected as a national park because it's just so gorgeous. Unfortunately, so much of it isn't accessible due to all the fancy homes and businesses that dot the landscape, though there are some really nice parks on both sides of the border. You're right, those boulders are incredibly fascinating! I understand family being far away. We live in Ohio, but have family in West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana and Florida (my home state). At least most of us are in the same time zone, though. 🙂 I am envious of you living in NM... so pretty there! I'm so glad you got a drone! Especially one with Return to Home. That feature has saved mine many times. 4K is phenomenal camera quality as long as you're not panning too quickly (it can make your footage stutter). I used to shoot in 4K but now usually shoot in 1080. It's lower quality, but I can't really tell the difference. 1080 is a lot easier to work with when editing and I think it give the footage a smoother look. You're under 250g, meaning you don't have to register it with the FAA or worry about remote ID. Just find an open area, get it higher than the tallest object and let her rip! There's a ton of videos on YT that can help you. You'll get the hang of it in no time. I can't wait to see your footage!

This was a fantastic waterfall. You always find the best ones to show us. I love the way the water cascades down the rock face. It truly was magical. The mist that was created, must have been incredible. This is the type of footage that can only be done with a drone. Your footage is truly incredible to watch. @@johnmcnulty4425 Not sure. The first is a national monument, which is usually prohibited. However, it’s managed by the BLM, which unusual considering most are managed by the NPS. NPS is way more strict about drones, unfortunately. I don’t think the other two are on public land so I’d have to do some research.

It was a bit challenging but luckily, everything went according to plan. 😁It is such a beautiful place, as is the entire state. Up the road is a 300' fall called Salt Creek Falls, I was able to capture too. I guess the Cascade Mountains were named appropriately! Thanks for you support, my friend! 🙏☺

Amen to that! We flew into Anchorage, rented a car and the kayak and drove all over God's creation looking for glaciers and icebergs! Adventure is the meaning of life! ☺☺
