- Steens Mountain in eastern Oregon is a large mountain that overlooks the Alvord Desert, a dried lakebed. Steens Mountain rises about 4,200' from the high desert floor to its summit of 9,738'. It is not part of any mountain range but stands on its own! It is on BLM land.

A cool spot to fly a drone video would be the road that is north of iron canyon reservoir.
I’ll have to check that out. Been in the area before but wasn’t aware of it. Looks like a great place to fly. Thanks for the tip!
@@dronebastard1049 north of iron canyon reservoir there is a road that gains a lot of elevation. and you can fly in-between ranges or towards the reservoir witch looks like a meteor strike from this elevated road. Also the area has one of cali best free camping spots
Amazing! we like to stay at Crystal Crane Hot Springs when we're in that area.
We usually stay in Burns but haven't heard of it. After looking it up, it looks like a place I'd like to check out! Thanks for the tip!🙏
Wow! The views are incredible flying over the mountains. It felt like we were flying along with you, as you went over the edge. I loved seeing lines of vegetation coming out of the rock and gravel. The colors was incredible. It almost looked like lava, flowing gently down into the valley. This was some great flying! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing place and adventure. 😊✨
Thank you 🙏 This is a cool place and so pretty. It’s quite isolated and was a journey to get there, but it sure was worth it! It does look like lava and the fall colors give a nice contrast. A great place to spend the day!

It was a spy balloon! I had to do the government's job for 'em with my drone but they wouldn't let me keep the footage! 😆😁
