Wow. Magical. The whole thing was cool but I really loved the first part. You were in a boat? It was dream-like. Thanks for another great journey.

Thanks! That’s my favorite part too. Dream-like is the perfect term! Simply a beautiful, peaceful morning. We were in our kayak.

@@dronebastard1049 When you drifted closely to the base of the trees, I was thinking, "Don't tip over ! There's roots under there." That happened to me decades ago while canoeing the Guadalupe river in TX. Darn Cyprus tress have expansive roots just below the surface.

Wow! I bet that was scary! You're absolutely right, they do have expansive roots. I've heard of people wading near cypress trees and end up getting their feet cut up by the roots just under the sandy bottom. We did hit some cypress knees right under the surface of the water and nearly tipped. @@Pack.Leader

@@dronebastard1049 I'm glad you didn't go into the water. That's not a place I'd like to go swimming ! Yes, it was scary. It was super high after tons of rain so the force of the water took us and everything we had in the canoe down river and it was very surreal.
The guy I was with was experienced but I wasn't. He got the canoe and somehow we ended up okay. But I have to say that as the years went by, it was kind of fun to pluck stray cans of beer and stuff floating down the river all by themselves from someone who had lost it up stream. Good times.
