@@TheJimyyy It's been significantly power-creeped. Aim-time and accuracy isn't as competitive as it used to be.
love my JP II.. feel like dinosaur on the battlefield nowadays, but still love it 😎
on the flat ground its armor is ..enh?but angled it can be very bouncy

i remember that superstracture was able to bounce t X tanks. you was fast, traverse speed was out of the world... i was tryharding to 3rd mark it but couldnt do it... i did it with Tiger 2 what was my first tier 8 heavy but failed with jp2 what was the first tier 8 td. and its mindblowing that wg was not ok with its superstructure being able to bounce almost anything but nowadays you have so many tanks in game with barely or none frontal weakspots...
This used to be my go to tank for fun years ago even when there was the borsig, It’s mobile with good alpha. Then the Skorpion G came out and got one, and basically just pushed the jagpanther II aside.
back in the days this was awsome VIII TD that could play hull down and even laught to face of IX and X tanks when shooting gold against -2 TD was really unusuall.
This TD was great untill HD model in September 2014, so it was relevant in game in same time as Borsig was choice
A glorious vehicle, holds my record for highest base xp game (1907 xp!) Awkward to play in the modern meta, but still hits hard and often.

This used to be one of my favorite TDs until I found the tier 10 Obj 263. Once they demoted it to tier 9 I quit WoT.

damn, i used to like that beast. the only tank i ever have used to platoon with. 2 of these back in the day in a platoon was lots of fun.
There used to be a lot more rocks that would hide the hull perfectly back in the day, you could farm at long range and bounce shots off the mantlet. WG removed most of the rocks and tuned the game for turreted tanks.
I loved this but after grinding it through and the release of the Skorp G I forgot this completly but never sold it.

Hey Skill, if only enemy tean had no team... but it was my team! yesterday i had 2 out of 13 wins and only 2 looses like 12:15, the rest of looses was 5:15 or less.

I love playing with tanks i used to play back in the days even if they don't perform like the new ones.
This one should have remained in the tech tree and ferdi should have been the collector. It makes more sense.
Looking at Jagdtiger and Jagdpanzer E100... does it really, though?

this tank has a massive weak spot right in the middle of its strongest part, the gun mantlet at pretty much any angle is easily penetrable as the armor there can be as low as 120 mm (some stronger parts are 180mm) although some tiny spots can be over 200mm. Tier 7 tanks with apcr gold rounds will go through 90% of the times just by shooting directly into the gun area.
hull down this tank can work againts tier 8 or less . the armor on the cheeck is around 230 , heavy and med tier 8 or any tier 7 and less will have trouble
the KA-RI of poor people
This tank used to be incredible until the armor got stealth nerfed with the HD remodel. It gained a shot trap on either side of the gun mantlet, which made it much harder to play hull down. I used to have a replay waaaaay back in the day of me brawling with this tank against a Ferdi, IS6, and a couple others, on a map that is no Ionger in the game
There's something personal about this tank for me, I like it better than Skorpion and Ka-Ri, although I like all of them almost equally.
Turbo, improved rotation and rammer are my choice in order to move out of line of fire ASAP in an aggressive gameplay. Turbo is only needed to fix a bad backwards speed somewhat and rotation makes this TD turn so fast that it almost cures the lack of turret. And yes, it has a chance to bounce something worse than HE on a good day.
The only evident drawback for me is poor gun depression but this is T8 where every good tank has a quirk or two which give them a character.

JP II at hull down position is very strong. Plus it has mobility. The downside is lack of hull armour, lack of HP and lower DPM.
I liked this tank back when I used to play, but I felt like the accuracy wasn't as good as it said. I felt like the IS-3 was better at sniping sometimes.
This td is fairly similar to the Kari but the higher camo value and greater mobility makes it better for me. It's surprising the Ferdinand remained and this one was sent to the collector's branch. The gun is the same as in the Maus, Skorpion G or Rhm.
Ferdi is a real TD.
JP2 is fake. That’s why it went to collector side.

@@heavNz Yeah i'm still salty about that. And for the AMX 30 too. They should've put the tier 8 premium AMX 30 as a tech tree and maybe somekind of sherman at tier 7
Because WG needs a tank in that branch an easy skip so they let Ferdinand remain.
I love this tank its so slick and sexy. Used to own it until I got to T9. Prefered it a lot to Ferdinand, its mobility was top notch.

FINALLY SOMEONE MENTIONING MY FAVORITE TD
The armor around the gun was nerfed many years ago. It used to be all 150mm. Now its like 100mm.
I used to love this tank. Gun takes a punch. It's quite fast (at least compared to Ferdi) and superstructure is very well angled and armored!
i played this thing after they buffed Ferdinand, and in compare was doing better with Ferd. Never got edge because of dynamics and gun handling of Ferd is just twice as better better. (the diff was like 2200 vs 2700)
Old Pearl River was ideal for the JP II. My gorgeous dancing girl could out-murder any enemy there.
Not the best place to say this, but can you do a review for obj 260. I got the tank after 4 years play and now i'm scared to play with not to be disapointed.

This was the last tank I played often when ai quit the game in 2015. I came back to the game in 2020 and this was the first tank I played. I didn’t understand what was wrong and why I was getting penetrated by every tank on the map. I sold it after realizing WG had power creeped all the tanks and the JP II no longer had enough armor to fight like it used to.
it always had bad armor, just the people couldnt aim for shit

Wdym, you're always supposed to play it like you have no armor. It's ability to just shoot and scoot made it leagues better than the Ferdi.
@@jacobbalcer7913 Nah, the super structure of JgPz II was solid enough to stop most tier 8's. Which is why this vehicle was a weapon of choice for me in tier 8 clashes (forgot how it was named back in the day 7v7).
@@vanjamenadzer jp2 Was my first tank with a t10 gun (back then 248 or sth at 490 alpha was actually good) so im maybe a bit based but it was absolutely a fun and competitive td. Competition being isu and 400 Alph amx td whose name I forgot. They all had their strenghts and weaknesses. But these days there's t8 prems with t10 guns which you can just buy with money that outperform everything, kinda sad. Im a ~60% winrate player btw and login every now and then just to see the actual shit show this game has regressed to...

a great tier 8 TD. if used correctly, it can bounce quite a lot. sadly it's a collector tank now

Armor is about nothing; gun handlgind is shit; mobility is meh; pen is not enough. This vehicle need a solid buff.
i was once shot by AP to turret, the shell bounced but killed my gunner
I run Gun Rammer, Improved aiming and Binocs. I can out spot just about anyone, and along with Designated Target you have more than enough time to spot them and back up behind the bush enough to shoot with out getting spotted in return. This thing is a beast, esp against other tier 8's or below.

German TDs gets spotted way too easily. It is such a pain to play them on small maps.

I remember that wargaming castrating jagpanther II. This TD had a decent enough gun depression and a strong upper structure, then they nerfed both and made it penetrable through the gun mantlet. They ruined it like they are ruining the game
Yea...Gun as a weakspot is a notorious "error" at this TD...Really can ruin the hull-down gameplay if some1 knows about it... :/
