    App says go to website to purchase data plan. Website says download app to purchase data plan. I've had mine a month and am about to take it back. It was a gift. Cool paperweight.

      Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately we can’t fix an issue within their system. We recommend that you reach out to Tactacam to see if they can resolve the issue.

      @@VanceOutdoors I figured it out last night finally. The website is extremely cumbersome to navigate but I finally got some quite time and sat there and dug deep in the website. Hopefully the camera works better than the setup instructions! Lol

      @@connorshannon2822 Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what I did. It wasn't easy that's for sure. Make sure you're logged into your account on the website and on the app. You'll find it. I had to get somewhere quite and look hard.
      Once I got it setup, the camera kept sending me blank pics. Had to reach out to customer support. They had me go through some crazy steps like putting camera in setup mode, pull SD card, pull SIM card, wipe both cards in case of "dust", place both back in, put camera in on position. Then I did the Hokey Pokey in the woods and tada!!! It started working.
      It's really a pain in the $&@".

    Is there a bear proof case that fits this model? I got problems with bears eating my cameras and then later crapping out batteries and doughnut goo

      Not sure if this would be bear proof, but the Lockable Security Box would be our pick: www.vanceoutdoors.com/products2.cfm/ID/260739

    Do you have to scan it and login in every time you turn the trail camera off and on?

    • @VanceOutdoors
      @VanceOutdoors  Před 10 měsíci

      You do not. The scanning and login process is just for the initial setup part of it.

    So sense I have t mobile as my carrier it won’t matter? Also if I pick Verizon I
    Just pay my monthly camera usage through the app? Or do I have to get ahold of Verizon and deal with them

      1:22 - It doesn’t matter.
      You pay through the tactacam app. They have a deal set with both cell providers.

    How do you know which one gets better service?

    • @VanceOutdoors
      @VanceOutdoors  Před rokem +4

      Adam, there are service bars on this camera inside the main door. They will tell you how strong your signal is. You will need to be in the general area where the camera will be and test everything. Try one of the SIM cards and see what the signal strength is. If ATT isn't good, then try the Verizon card. Make sense?

    need to show how to insert phone piece, can't tell what way to put it in let alone if it's in right. doesn't snap in

    • @VanceOutdoors
      @VanceOutdoors  Před rokem +1

      To properly insert your SD card into the camera, ensure that the image side is facing toward you when looking at the front of the camera. You should feel a slight spring tension when you push the card in, and once it is depressed far enough, the camera should retain the SD card. If you experience issues with the card not staying in the camera, we suggest contacting TACTACAM Customer Service for assistance.
