  • Quadmula continues to deliver impressive design and quality with their first new frame of the 2024 model year. The Djinn F25 is an amazingly fun, capable, and smooth 2.5" that looks to balance freestyle and cinematic flight. Specifically designed for the DJI O3 system, the new Djinn F25 has no props or frame in view (even in ultra wide!) while maintaining a fully symmetrical arm design that doesn't have you digging through different size arms in the event of a crash.
    For transparency, the frame and props were provided by Quadmula for this review. All other parts were purchased by myself. Quadmula has not seen or reviewed this video prior to its publishing.

    hi! i run your PID tunes you show in the video...seems to be good, but i am still struggling with rates. i use 2.5x1.5x3 HQ props that results in low propwash buuuuut you always need to push a little bit more on the throttles to get the copter up in the air. i am still not familiar to it. BTW: the weight of my copter is too high...251g with a little bit more of battery wiring and even 257 when i am going to built in ELRS. THX4 the video!

    Been flying my Djinn now for a few days now in many different configurations and I think Quadmula should consider selling longer arms to convert it to a 3". I've tried all the suggested props and it stills feels a bit too heavy in the power to weight ratio. My configuration. Speedy mini stack, mamba 1404 3000kv, dji 03 with all printed TPU. The tune is pretty bad too. Mangorille....love your content on FPV and 3D printing. You really know how to present material. Thank you.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks! What battery are you using? Mine was 240g ready to go, which is on the heavy end for the 2.5 inch props. I can get it down about 14 grams to 226 using the lightened o3, which is really where you’d want it. Don’t tell Quadmula but I tried to put my 3” arms on this frame and they didn’t fit. The second arm hole was off about a mm.

    • @vts5520i
      @vts5520i Před 6 měsíci

      Please try the presets"4.3 Filter settings for VERY CLEAN build with RPM FILTERING". This is the basic setting for Djinn F25.
      After changing the settings, please observe whether the motor temperature is normal first.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 6 měsíci

      @@victorlugardo3703 Hmm, that is on the heavy side for such a small quad. I personally wouldn't try modifying the arms, it will cause play and make them weaker if you elongate the hole. I did some math, even with the 550s, you are still going to be at 248g. Better but anywhere else you can find to cut another ~10grams?

    • @vts5520i

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 7 měsíci +1

      He must be over 250g then, I'm at 240 with a 4s so I would estimate that he's at minimally 265g, which defeats my goal of this build but yes should allow him to use that strap. :)

      If under 250g is not a priority, go with 1604 motors and 6s. The reason I ask about 250g is that most small 6s battery packs (say under 600mah) start to lack in performance (e.g. high internal resistance).

      Correct, I rely more on the rpm filter. You can have the sliders all the way to the right if your quad is mechanically sound and not very noisy. If unsure, start with the filters in the middle default position.

    What is the correct way to trim antenna tube, do you cut the wire and slide it out? Or you get a pair of scissors and trim it carefully?

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 3 měsíci

      I used an X-Acto knife to carefully slice the tube along the circumference. Once it is two pieces you can use scissor to slice it vertically and route the wire out. The UFL connector at the end isn't very strong so don't try to pull it though, the wire will separate from the connector.

Because of the new laws in Europe it's not allowed to fly over 250g self built quads closer than 150m to building and people anymore. And is the EP2 sufficient range wise? How did your weight end up at 235g? I've just built mine and I'm on 251g with that same battery. My stack is the other way around but that's only going to account for about 3grm of wiring, where you have an extra zip tie.
    I can't see where I'm wasting 15g
    That's with 3 blade props too.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Check 3:35 in the video where I weigh individual components to see where yours is different. I suspect you’ve got heavier motors. I ended up at 239g with the battery strap after the build.

    • @davidcane7211
      @davidcane7211 Před 2 měsíci

      @Mangorille I don't think it's the motors. Yours work out 41g total and mine are 8.8g each.
      All that's different are the tpu feet and chin bumper I have. Plus a rubber band on the battery to keep the balance lead out of harms way.
      Could it be the 8 prop screws? I don't see those on yours when your weighed it.
      Or my scales are wrong, I prefer that option 😂

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 2 měsíci

      @@davidcane7211 The TPU feet and chin guard are 6 grams, which I don't run. The final weigh in did not include the prop screws so that would probably add another 2-3 grams. You're not too far off my build. The rest can be simple things like wire routing, type of wire in your power lead, etc.

    🤔I don't understand why Quadmula doesn't give you reviewers a purchase link with a small discount for your followers, to reward both you who present their products to the large public and in the meantime you youtubers give a small discount to your followers who help to grow your views and therefore the channel, their frames with some accessories cost a little, but the shipping cost is really exaggerated, okay they'll give you 1 more arm for free🤣 BUT MY QUESTION IS: QUADMULA Djinn F25 Split top and bottom plate, will almost certainly be able to accommodate the arms of the 3 inch QUADMULA Siren F3 Split, you who have the 2 frames have surely already tried to interchange, but let's not tell this to future Quadmula customers😉 Thank you for sharing your experience with us so that we can learn from you🤗😊

    • @Mangorille

      I personally haven’t had any company provide a discount link. I know it happens but I haven’t seen it myself in the FPV space. Funny you say this because I did wonder if I could swap the arms, the arms themselves look the same other than the f3 arms being longer but the geometry of the frame is different so I don’t know if you’d still not have props in view with the longer arms of the f3.

    Why Bluejay/Bidirectional DShot?

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  Před 5 měsíci

      You need bi-directional dshot in order to use RPM filtering, pretty much the standard way of filtering now-a-days. This is not supported on regular BLS firmware so you need to install Bluejay. If your ESC is a BLHeli32 then it already supports bi-directional dshot and you wouldn't be putting Bluejay on it.
