I watched this video to understand the chemistry. The equation at the end is so wrong as to be criminally negligent. It doesn't come close to balancing. And what happens to the sodium?!

Any excess sodium hydroxide will react with aluminum hydroxide to produce sodium tetrahydroxoaluminate (2Na[Al(OH)4])
