That's a good trike, now you need a wing. In the '76 I crossed the Mediterraneam, from Málaga in Spain to Melilla in Morocco, in one I made. 260 Km. Record at the time. They are very easy to fly, but be careful. And you need an air filter.
Whatever you decide to do with it, please add a prop guard, especially when you're going to be taking camera closeups. One meeting with the running prop would be your first and last.
A propeller guard would significantly reduce the thrust produced.
A suggestion for you. Take every screw bolt fastening device and clean rust off. Then inspect for wear. Aviation is a very unforgiving mistress.

And a fairly large flat bottom boat would actually be useful for getting thing back and forth from Sarinda.
If practicality means eventually you end up removing the blower and
using a boring old outboard.
The fun project could still be helpful in the long run 😊

Looks like a Gyro copter, I think all you need are the copter blades atop the high post. They are not powered but spin and provide lift by the forward movement. I always wanted one.

It's not a gyro, it's a trike from a microlight - looks like a Mainair Flash 2, without the wing. If properly inspected, with correct wing and with a valid permit to fly, they're as safe as most aircraft. Of course, you do need thorough training on weightshift types before attempting to fly one.
Given your recent drone experience - this is slightly worrying!

Airboat would be a great idea. All you need is the engine and propeller. You need to make a frame to hold the engine, a guard for the propeller, and air rudders behind it a stick and cables controls the rudders so you can steer and Bob’s your uncle.
Hovercraft? They are just th engine you have and Stitch and glue Ply. And sewing machine tent fabric skirt could then help get to Sarinda across the mud

To me that does look like an hovercaft. Year a bit of a project, but could be usefull for transporting stuff to and from the big project. maybe, I think, or not, no idea.

Very early 503 Rotax ultralight engine, kettering ignition with an A-drive reduction. All obsolete now.. The 2 means 2 up or 2 place.
Use it as a tool. Pull a sled with it, and use it to pull material to and from your boat.

guys you too could get together do that as a CZcams project bolt that down to some type of platoon and make it into a air bow just figure out the steering mechanisms and I think that would be lost so you two could do it together the only thing is you would have to build some kind of guard around that propeller four if you flipped over you would not gett chopped in half, because you would get her seriously if you got hit by that. I would make it into a airboat I think it be awesome for you two guys to do together

Got to be a hovercraft! Split the airflow at the base of the prop to inflate the skirt, and the top 2/3rds for propulsion through a pair of vertical rudders and it'll cope with your potholes just fine!!
And then just add some fairy dust and a place holder for Harry's Wand

An air boat was the first thing that came to mind.
I always fancied flying, but am prevented from obtaining a CAA pilot's licence due to being a bit colour blind. However, I could fly a hang-glider as they were under the BHGA at that time and I could subsequently obtain a power qualification for one. The snag came shortly after I qualified on hang-gliders (and bought my own), with two fatality incidents with one particular brand of microlight kit in the same year. The CAA threw up its hands in horror and took control of powered flight, requiring a PPL(d) licence, which I am unable to obtain.
Just have to add Free-spinning 3 bladed Rotor Like James Bond had in 'For your eyes only' I think, The one with the Volcano and the 2 Kungfu Daughters. Whatever , it still needs a Cage around to prevent Arm losses.

Put it all together correctly, install aircraft floats and you will have a fantastic microlight! Don’t modify or change it as some other CZcamsrs have, enjoy it for what it really is. The result will be great!

An airboat would make it easier to transport stuff to and from Sarinda. Later, you could add it to the aft of Sarinda as an emergency backup engine that could get you to safety in the event of engine problems with the main boat.

It's basically supposed to have a hang glider on top of it, so it's basically a microlight hang gilder with a engine that you can sit in. They don't look that safe. Looks cool though.

Air boat would be fun and so would a air -Trike, get the forks and front tire from a old motorcycle and put it on along with bigger tires in the rear and a prop guard and when you want an air-boat drive it onto a Jon boat with a tiller system then BOOM goes the DYNOMITE ! LOL. Thats what I'd do for sure !

Used to go microlighting, sounds a good engine, funny how everyone relates size to safety, if the engine stopped I'd rather be in one of those than a cessna, but I would buy an old Rib and make a Airboat version 😁 0:54

Wow, what a toy! Strange, I saw a Bond type one for sale yesterday at Newark Autojumble! Tear the engine out and fasten the prop to the front of the new garden workshop. Find a fast spinning alternator and use it in emergency on Sarinda! Stay well and out of the wind!

My first thought, before you even mentioned it, was to make a fan boat out of it. Might enable you to get out to sarinda even on extremely low water. Just get some crappy old flat bottom aluminum skiff, fabricate up some motor mounts and a prop cage, boom!

I think an airboat is a great project. Put pontoons where the wheels are, and then have hydrofoils that you can lower below the pontoons. full send it and get up over the waves LOL
I think that with such infrastructure you can build an ultrilight airplane (adding wings); or an "autogiro" (don´t know the word in English) adding two free rotation blades on the top of the mast. That was an invention of Spanish Enginering Raul De la Cierva, in the middle 30. It wolud be a good adition to Sarinda...And please excuse My English (obviously it is not my native languaje)
