Evan Baxter (Steve Carell - who also starred in The Office and The 40 Year-Old Virgin) gets up and walks to the bathroom. When he looks at himself in the mirror, he is shocked to see that his beard has grown a lot. He shaves but his beard grows back immediately. After several tries, he gives up.

What’s the Evan Almighty movie about?
The last time we saw Evan Baxter (Steve Carell - who also starred in The Office and The 40 Year-Old Virgin), he was being tormented by rival Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey - who also starred on The Mask and The Grinch Stole Christmas) on screen, live from their Buffalo TV station. But time passed and Evan has made up with Bruce.
Newly elected to Washington D.C. as a congressman, Evan has left Buffalo, New York.
One day, God (Morgan Freeman) pays him a visit. He asks him to build an ark in preparation for a great flood. Animals start following Evan wherever he goes.

I'm concerned she isn't more surprised how he grew that beard seemingly overnight.
Seriously. It would take me at least 2 months to get that much beard. But also since they are married, they presumably saw each other at least once before they went to bed the night prior.

Because of razor burns I stopped shaving it really bad and itchy for first 2-3days it very nice looking face adding more looks but after it hella itchy and skin damage

Let's all just agree what's amazing in this scene isn't the fact his beard is growing back almost instantly. It's the fact his razor blade can still shave all that hair cleanly after all that many attempts without it pulling hairs. Must be the newest admantium blades.

I was going to say this but the fact that he could complete a single stroke from top to bottom without rinsing just baffled me. I know it's fiction but certain things are harder to believe.

One thing always bugged me about this, in Bruce Almighty, free will couldn’t be messed with. God actually made Evan build this ark, by sabotaging his free will
That's probably why they didn't make a third "almighty" film.

@@Warcodered01 He’s supposed to be based on Noah. And in most cases Noah is generally perceived with a long white beard.
@Tony Montana Well, Evan was the one who said that he wishes to change the world and God gave him that wish making him build the ark to prepare for the flood (he did tell Evan, you wish to change the world and so do I, so build the ark) and caused magically every insect and animal all over the world to worship him which is why they were not attacking him and staying with him waiting to get inside the ark wondering when it will be finished. (I'm sure the wild animals knew if they attacked or ate him, that would cause danger to themselves since Evan was their only hope). So for theses reasons, God is not messing with free will towards Evan since Evan was making a wish to change the world and God was saying "wish granted" making him build the ark. On the other hand, on "Bruce Almighty", Bruce was whining and complaining that God doesn't help or answer prayers so he gave Bruce his job to show what it's like to be God to show that it takes time to answer over a million prayers.

he is perfectly shaven. then they put shave foam on it and he uses a razor with no blades in it. just like in the commercials.

Believe it or not. Before the office in his early movies/tv shows he actually had a beard similar to this one. He also has a beard with glasses now
I love how this movie is alot like Disney's The Santa Clause, just if Scott Calvin became Noah, and Bernard was Morgan Freeman's God.

It took Steve Carell a whole day to get his makeup on for this film. He would arrive at the studio at 2 o'clock in the morning, go into the makeup room at 2:10, then he would be there until 2 AM the next day. He slept in the makeup chair.

yeah but other than that there is no connection or mention of the previous film
thats the best razor i have ever seen, didnt get that at dollar shave club
annoying when a cut in angle corresponds to the character taking their eyes off the incident. What if he just kept staring at the mirror? It would have been cool to literally see it regrow, but guess that would have been too crazy from a VFX standpoint.
Actually, that would have been possible in 2006-2007, but extremely expensive.
