To portray God as a public servant is to ignore what the Bible actually says. God identifies HIMSELF as an angry and jealous god. The definition of 'good' is 'whatever God choses to do'. Yahweh is no different than the gods of the other countries surrounding Canaan in the Bronze Age. He was a storm god that lived on a mountain and spoke with the voice of thunder. The Hebrews were the people given to Yahweh by El, the creator god.

No different than your own parents they want you to listen to them because they love you and been where you're going, arent they angry and jealous when you decide to ignore them and their many warnings of coming consequences

I love how gods always doing what a lot of people consider menial jobs.
He's a Janitor, a Waiter... the jobs people don't get paid much for, that don't seem all that important.
But without Janitors, hospitals couldn't exist. Every room you've ever entered outside of private property would be disgusting.

He gave us Jesus Christ, the ONE who bled and died on an Old Rugged Cross, so that our sins can be forgiven... just for the asking! We have the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as our own personal Savior and Lord. When we get to the place, where we TOTALLY SURRENDER to God, and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, that's when our own personal Salvation begins!

I prayed for patience once and God gave me the opportunity to learn it. I was changing to a new job and right before I left the old one I asked God for patience going into this new role. He postponed me starting that new job for 3 months (glitch in their hiring process) in which time I had the stress of bills without a paycheck, unreasonable expectations from people around me, donated time at a church thrift store dealing with customers, and the loss of vehicle I really didn't need. In the end, God gave me patience. After that, I started asking for blessings instead. :) LOL

A lot of people say that the depiction of God in this movie isn't the one in the Bible and other holy books. That may be true. But this is the God we want to be true, that we want to believe in. One who understands us, loves us, and wants nothing more than to help us find our own way to happiness. I have a lot of problems with God from the books, but this God I could worship with a full heart.

I prayed for four months straight to be given patience and a better discernment in my heart after quitting drinking and starting my steps to quit smoking cigarettes and weed, then I saw this video clip (not this specific one, but this scene) and basically had a panic attack on the spot. Well, now going on three years has passed. I'm completely sober of all of it, clinically diagnosed and medicated in my mental health side of things and regularly seeing a doctor for my physical health where before I constantly ignored my mental and physical health. I earnestly can say that I have such a better understanding of what this scene means, and am admittedly so getting my patience tested ever more each day since. The discernment is up in the air though honestly, it's difficult for me to tell still, but my mind is definitely more clear as it's been letting me see things I would've just habitually ignored before my sobriety and medications, so that helps. In the end though hahaha, you gotta watch it sometimes what you pray for, cause how you receive it will be a grounds for insuring you are remaining open minded and open in perception as well.

    What he told Joan
Evan's wife is what I call absolutely true if you believe in THE FATHER and love him, and cherish him in your heart he will answer your prayers,
If you prayed to have your family to be closer to each other again & be A family again
than A man she never met, Or seen before. Or never knew have A talk & he told her:
"If someone payed for their family to be closer to each other does he zap them with fuzzy feelings,
Or does he give them to opportunity to love each other again"
That's why Joan was confused because that was the exact thing she prayed for.
