i'm looking hard at the Aorus X7, the dual GTX 765m's are equal in sorts to the 780m, and the core i7, with 16 gb of memory packed into a small light package, that doesn't have a TN panel! it can also run 3 displays, and overall as linus says, doesn't get too hot on the keybord. Also my elitebook is dieing so need a replacement soon!

I love the Y50. I have it and the performance is great. The fan is very quiet as well, which is a plus. The only downside that I can think of is that the keyboard can get a bit hot when playing games that are highly demanding. Otherwise, this laptop is a great choice for its price range and I would highly recommend buying it if you're getting a ~1000$ dollar price range laptop.

    • @EpicKnifeYT
      @EpicKnifeYT Před 10 lety

      To let us know...
      A) That they exist
      B) What they look like
      C) What companies made this year
      D) The specs of undisclosed laptops.
Think of it like this....They went here to show us many things, in this case gaming laptops, and want to showcase all of them. Why exclude the ones with "secret" hardware from the bunch just because we don't know the specs *yet*?

***** Well things are always going to be getting more powerful as far as gaming computers go (unless we hit a hard limit with Moore's law), so the new stuff will always be more powerful. Quantifying exactly how much better is where the identification of the GPU comes into play.

    • @OverlordActual
      @OverlordActual Před 10 lety +1

charlesburton95 I know but I when I want to upgrade something I want to get the best that is possible but that is also appealing to me. So I would like to wait to see what is going to be coming out then make a decision. Ok here is an example. If im upgrading my phone (I have an iPhone, keep your opinion to yourself please) and I hear that iPhone 6 (if that's what is going to be called) is coming out in 2 months. I would rather wait for that that then upgrade to an iPhone 5S. Get it now?

I search and research and asked pros after pros about a gaming laptop. I looked over almost every aming Notebooks even considered a build over off the shelf. Then I came across the ASUS ROG G750JH-DB71 17.3-Inch Laptop and I have to say I am extremely happy with it.
I purchased two and happen to catch them on sale which in essence gave me the 4yr protection plan for free. That was one big seller for me since all others charge over 600 for a 4yr plan. In the end its a choice and I waded in the sea of gaming laptops for about 6 months and found one even with the "dont waste money on a gaming laptop build a PC" sharks. I ended back at Toms Hardware and found a great computer geek who helped me so very much every time I came to him with this or that.
    Only Cons so far:
    It is a tad heavy
Very sensitive touchpad (my girl turned it off it was driving her crazy. Fixed the problem with a mouse and myself just turned down the sensitivity.
I wish the speakers were on the top.
Has Windows 8 (we are trying it out but if in the end we do not like it will more thank likely install Windows 7.)
    Pro's
Graphics are FAB GEFORCE GTX 780M. Blew me away the fist time I opened a music video it even beat my 50in LCD TV.
    Sound is great.
    Everything loads so fast.
Can handle multiple apps open at the same time without a hiccup.
There is so much good about it.
    Approved by Republic of Gamers
We play online games currently why we wait for the Phoenix Project to Finish...Elder Scrolls, WoW.
    Other games:
    Diablo 3
    Sims3
    Dark Souls
Assassins Creed ( the laptop is actually an Assassins Creed IV Black Flag Edition.
I hope that helps...sorry if long winded.
    Good Luck

I would love for a Dell Alienware 18 Laptop, especially due to the heatsink and fan position and obviously the air flow exits at the back! I wish they had kept the opening running right through from left to right at back but am sure that it doesn't become that hot due to the processing power which causes the system to instruct all components quickly enough before bottlenecks occur which is at worse case problematic and causes destability!

***** AMD claim that this problem on notebooks can be solved by a free driver or app called AMD Free sync, AMD will release it soon, I hope that AMD free sync will solve these problems, and it will be free, on the other hand G sync sound like the ultimate solution, but adding a new G sync card to the notebook will be a challenge I think, the notebooks we have can barely hold a mid range CPU and an outdated GPU with updated GPU model numbers, G sync will make the notebooks bulkier and expensive, I hope that Freesunc will save our experience.

I've always liked the MSI stealth series notebooks. But, I've never liked the gpu choices. If the new one has atleast something along the lines of a 770m I'll be interested.

A best gaming notebooks lineup isn't very relevant without the prices. Out of all of those the Lenovo is probably the only one competitively priced, it's previous models wiped the floor with all other laptops on price for what you get. Asus G series used to be well priced but they've really spiked recently, and alienware and razer have always had trash pricing. MSI's alright, but could be a little better. There was the other laptop from the brand I didn't recognize, not sure on that one.

Pretty much Razer's Blade is pretty extremely expensive. If you're looking for a nice computer with a low price then i advice you to get the Lenovo Y500 or 510.

Just can't get over the Razer Blade. I know it's not the best one there, actually a little far from the best one. Tho all of those specs combined inside of that BEAUTIFUL looking laptop, just can't get over. Especially because I'm a student so it's perfect, being thin and light helps a lot for mobility. It's just perfect for a Student gamer.

Razer pro would be a nice portable gaming device for people with gaming desktops. Alienware is a good choice for people without desktops and want a device that they can take with not daily but maybe when traveling or something.
