      The religions are totally different
Islam like Christianity is just a Master/Slave religion - Ancient people living under Kings/Dictators used them as a template for God - hence all the getting down on one's knees, begging, groveling etc
A Slave may serve only one master, hence the One God and the threats against praying to others
Take the Terminology - "Commandments, Submit, beg, obey, judge, wrath, punish, forgive, Fear" ALL Slave/Servant words
What father would ask his son to murder his OWN son in cold blood? But a Master will, testing his slave's loyalty to him
To a King, Dictator like Putin, loyalty is paramount - disloyal people could cost him his crown hence the "Heaven only for the supporters of this King/Dictator God & threats against those who are not loyal"
What we see in Russia and North Korea today
And these are the top Gods in the 21st century - Putin & Kim Jong Un!
What a sad statement of our education and intelligence
      .
Hindus view God as our Parent/Teacher - hence the lack of threats, the lack of fear
There is no reward - Heaven is nothing but cheap pleasures of the flesh
Billions of Christians & Muslims thinking they can run away from real life and hide in a fantasy
God will be a nice Sugar Daddy and keep them in eternal comfort!
They will be reborn as lower life forms - like a Dog - free food, shelter, protection and care - no work, no worries! Lay about all day, every day! Heaven!
These fools chasing after Fools Gold will end up as Dogs!
Glad that you saved yourself from such a horrible fate!

I am a Sikh from Indian Punjab. Namaste and Sat Shri Akal 🙏🙏... Take me true when I am telling you under the oath of whatsoever I have and God... I read Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji many a times with full explanation. Then I studied Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta many a times. Then at last, I read Quran Kareem and it's commentary by Abdullah Yusuf Ali ji. There is no difference between the ideology and teachings of Shrimad Bhagvad Geeta and Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, not even an iota...take me true... because as a staunch Indian Sikh I will never insult my Guru... Geeta and Guru Granth Sahib are identical in their message... They transport you to your "Self"...the ultimate reality of life.... There is no incentive of Jannat or anything after death except the merger of Self with the Ultimate reality the "Braham" or Akalpurakh that is beyond time.... On contrary, Quran has no such ideology. I am not going to put derogatory remarks about Quran as nobody should do.... But as a unbiased human , I found Indian religions to be more practical and satisfying. There is no fear of anything.... And this is exactly the one of the traits of God...this is one example... I will request you all that please go through these Indian scriptures your own.... Reality will usher in and around you... Thank you...

Don't take it otherwise. Sikh gurus did not create a separate religion. It was just a separate order of Hindus. Hinduism is a guru centric culture. Hence, Guru Granth Sahib will surely match with the Hindu scriptures. It is a compilation of the same under the Sikh gurus in the local language. Later Aurangzeb forced to end the Sikh gurus, killed a few and later forced the Sikhs to consider Guru Granth Sahib as the last guru. He also made it a separate religion. Later British did the same. Such a free and ancient religion such as Hinduism, it is bound to gather some corruption. Gurus from Time to time come and correct these and bring in reforms to let it adapt to changing times. Sikh gurus as such wanted to remove the corruption in Hindu religion.

Hinduism gives you freedom to criticize or ask questions. "Bhagavat Gita shows even common person can asks questions to God (Parmatma)."

    • @indianmilitary
      @indianmilitary Před rokem +9

But the non translatable Sanskrit word Paramathma is not the same as god though. In fact, there is no concept of god in Hindu/VEDIC tradition. The word god and its definition are based on monotheism (followed by Abrahamic religions) which simply says that there is just a transcendent god who can “create” the universe and its laws of nature out of thin air and also override them whenever wanted by just using a magic wand😊. Monotheism cannot be validated.
Krishna did not say "I am god". If he did then he wouldn't have said the following verse in Bhagavad Gita
Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Verse 12 (ATHMAN = PARAMATHMA)
“na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarve vayam ataḥ param”
“Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings, and from this time forward, none of us will ever cease to be”
Here, Sri Krishna refers to the conscious, immortal, immutable, self luminous, immanent (athma), transcendent and omnipresent Paramathma as 'I", ''you ``,''us ``.
Point is, Krishna was a mortal (like other avatars) even though an avatar (non karmic birth). He was killed by a stray arrow of a hunter (Vali's reincarnation) since avatar Rama was cursed by Vali's pious wife Thara for killing her husband by hiding behind a tree.
      VEDIC REFERENCES
A CHAPTER 1 and verse 2 of ATHARVA VEDA
“Ayam Atma Brahma" - "This Self or athma (immortal, conscious, immanent and omnipresent ) is Brahman (immortal, conscious and transcendent )".
In Islam or Christianity or Judaism, soul is neither omnipresent nor conscious and it is definitely not equated with “Allah” or “God”
      B. CHAPTER 6 verse 8.7 of SAMA VEDA
"Tat Tvam Asi" - means - you (immortal, immanent and conscious athma) are (already) that (immortal, conscious, omnipresent and transcendent Brahman) without which nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles of nature can happen. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion created by lack of knowledge, wrong assumption that the body is the experiencer of 5 senses (instead of the immanent athma which is NOT the doer) and ego (false sense of I). “Not the doer” means the omnipresent conscious self or the athma can neither act nor react even though the experiencer of everything including humans and non humans (including both animate and inanimate). Only its intelligent energy is the doer.
Single Sanskrit mantra is enough to validate Vedic metaphysics around which the whole Hindu tradition was built including its temple, yoga and tantra traditions. Sanskrit mantras help to transcend 5 senses and ego which confirms that we are neither mind nor body but the conscious, immortal, immutable, self luminous, immanent (athma), omnipresent and transcendent Brahman.
Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent experience - Through focus and meditation and in higher states of consciousness, the “all pervading” “all knowing” “all powerful” experience can be attained by anyone while still being alive because you (conscious and immanent athma) are (already) that (conscious, omnipresent and transcendent Brahman) and due to interdependence of athma/brahman and its intelligent energy. But in Abrahamic religions, only their transcendent god can be omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent.
It is the reason why there is no concept of god in Hindu tradition. It also means, the impassive experiencer (athma/brahman) of everything is just one but experience (inanimate and animate including humans) is multiple. So, there is nothing other than the nondual athma/brahman and its duality capable intelligent energy. They always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles of nature to happen.

@@70newlife Desr I have experienced this while staying in AP for 23 years. The only beneficiary in conversion is the one or two pastors who initiate the process, they become rich, my friends from Kerala did this and became rich, its like establishing a company, nothing more than that.
The extreme evidence is (which many times I have given in such discussion in Kerala and nobody dared to deny as it's a solid fact) :
I have worked in my 43years government service in many States in India, of which 23 years was in AP. One of my malayali friend from Hyderabad, who was working in the Central Excise, oneday gave me a photo of his elder brother who was working in USA after his engineering and MS. He asked me to find a suitable Christian girl from my friend Circle. I noticed that the boy was as handsome as his brother is, fair in colour, tall and well educated. I thought it's easy for me and I was delighted to help. From my friend Circle a few shown interest and my friend took me to his family and I met his dignified mother who was from Kollam Kerala from an Orthodox Christian family. Later she told me that I am keen to find a girl from Kerala Christian background and herself sought my help. Then my friend revealed that his father is a converted Christian (did not ask whether he is from Kerala or from AP) and see that it should be handled diligently. Yet I thought it was not a problem when the boy is so well educated and handsome with a elite family background. To my surprise my friends turned back and told me very Big "NO", and explaining why that's possible. You know ultimately that boy had to marry a Dalit Christian girl from Goa from a poor family background, the marriage I have attended.
I have many experiences about such things, as most of my friends are Christians. One interesting experience is two of my friends (from the orthodox) used to go distant places on Sundays for the conversion purposes. My God one of them is even today is suffering as both his children have married Dalit Christian girl and boy. That's their karma phala. So my friend I have many experiences like this. Another colleague oneday suddenly appeared in the dress of a pastor and told me he was going to Orissa. That time I didn't know anything about conversion in Orissa anyway, these are experiences.

They never forced anyone to do this prayer, come here for this fasting, go convert or go fight for religion, etc. People of this generation are sadly giving up freedom, determination and courage for safety and comfort. The thing that opened my soul to it is that Hinduism teaches: 'GOD/SOURCE is within us. We do not have to look anywhere for god/source. We are all Gods but in expressed in different forms.' I was into Buddhism after i graduated college, and i found myself free without religion identity as for myself. Then i came into this Indian mystic called Sadhguru, and find him a true Guro. There was not much of difference between Buddhism teaching to that of Sadhguru, because Buddhism also came from India. Hi there! I appreciate your respectful approach and your commitment to Hinduism. However, I'd like to share my perspective which may be contrary to what other Christians also say, and will provide some insights from that standpoint. I do want to let the readers know that I'm proud to say that I am Indian by birth and plan to live here for the rest of my life.
I understand that what I express are my personal beliefs, and although others may disagree, I believe it's important to listen to everyone's views respectfully.
I agree with you that just because some people perform certain acts in the name of religion, it doesn't mean they truly adhere to that religion. I'm glad you share the same viewpoint.
However, I would like to present a Christian perspective where we believe in the existence of only one God, while Hinduism finds knowledge in everything.
I'd like to discuss two points where I have a different perspective or provide you with additional information:
    1) Christianity's understanding of our origins and destiny:
As Christians, we believe in the concept of monotheism and that God is the creator of everything we see, including the universe, moon, stars, kittens, dogs, mountains, and people. We refer to God as omnipotent, meaning all-powerful. According to the Bible, our ultimate destiny is explained in Romans 6:23, which states, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." This passage emphasizes that Christ had to die for sinners because we were unable to save ourselves. However, anyone who believes in him will not perish but will have eternal life. God chose this group of people even before the foundations of the world, as mentioned in Ephesians 1. These verses specifically address how God the Father chose his people and how Christ redeemed them from the bondage of sin. Through the Holy Spirit, believers are saved and sealed eternally, and they will be with God.
    2) Faith-based salvation:
This is where Christianity differs from other religions. In Hinduism, for example, salvation or the next life is attained by doing good deeds, and following karma, and dharma. In Islam, salvation comes from accepting the traditions and commandments of Islam, leading to the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Many other religions follow similar works-based approaches, where your actions determine your destination.
In Christianity, however, I would like to emphasize that I am referring to true Christianity, not the actions of those who claim to be Christian but engage in sinful behavior. True Christianity acknowledges that all people are sinners before a holy God. Even acts of charity, although good in themselves, come from a heart that seeks personal satisfaction. Many people don't consider lying, stealing something small, looking at pornography, or drinking as sins, but in the eyes of God, they are. Because God is holy, no one can be holy enough to stand before Him. This is where Jesus Christ, the sinless one, had to die. Through His sacrifice, those who believe in Him receive forgiveness, as He paid the punishment sinners deserve. Through faith in Christ, believers are justified in the presence of God, and His righteousness is imputed to them. That's why we put our trust in what Christ has done for our salvation and strive to follow Him.
To reiterate the verse I mentioned earlier, Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We can't save ourselves from the punishment we deserve because, if we are honest with ourselves, we sin every hour and every day. However, God loves us so much that He gave His Son to die for us. By repenting and believing, we are saved when we put our faith in the finished works of Christ.
If you acknowledge your sins and seek answers in the Bible, you will discover the truth I found just a couple of years ago even though I was a Christian from Birth. Sadly, in today's world, people are blinded and love their sin and no longer grasp or reject the real essence of Christianity. However, by delving deeper into the scriptures, I have found answers to life's meaning and continue to learn and grow in my understanding.

      1. Thank you. If you honestly want to find out whether Christianity or Hindu/Vedic tradition is the true pathway, you should first understand the difference between their core (around which Christianity and Hindu tradition were built) and logically validate them.
Then you can understand why Moksha is NOT the same as salvation?. Why non translatable Sanskrit word Brahman is NOT the same as god? Why Swarga and Naraka are NOT the same as heaven and hell? Why athma is NOT the same as soul? Why Karma or cause and effect is NOT the same as sin? Why devatas are NOT the same as demigods or angels? Why avatars are NOT the same as prophets or messenger of god? etc
      2. Before diving deep to compare their core, the obvious difference can be seen in the form claims and practice. eg According to Abrahamic religions and their monotheistic assumptions like god, heaven and hell, only their transcendent god can be omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. But according to well validated Hindu/Vedic metaphysics (around which Hindu temple, yoga and tantra traditions were built) anybody can have all pervading, all knowing and all powerful experience while still being alive through focus and meditation and higher states of consciousness because you (conscious and immanent athma) are (already) that (conscious, omnipresent and transcendent Brahman) and due to interdependence of athma/brahman and its intelligent energy.. It is the reason why there is no concept of god in Hindu tradition.
      3. Monotheism vs Hindu/Vedic metaphysics
.In Hindu/Vedic tradition (based on well validated Vedic metaphysics), the "Ultimate Reality" and its body (the universe) are with no beginning. This manifestation is cyclical: a universe comes into being and passes away according to a regular pattern, like inhalation and exhalation. In Abrahamic religions, there was one unique Creation (with a capital 'C') with nothing prior to it.
In Abrahamic religions (based on monotheistic assumptions like god, heaven and hell), the created universe is separate from God and has its own self-existence. In materialistic science, creation is a 'big bang' out of nothing. In contrast to both these worldviews, Hindu Vedic metaphysics says the universe is a manifestation of, and form of, the Ultimate Reality. It arises out of the being of the Ultimate Reality, not for any reason, but as a natural process simply because this is the nature of Reality; it is maintained for a while as the form of the Ultimate Reality; and then dissolves (concealment) back into the unmanifest state within the Ultimate Reality. There it lies dormant in potential form until it emerges again at the commencement of another cycle.
In Abrahamic religions, God is not immanent. In Christianity, God was not immanent in the universe prior to Jesus, and the unique significance of Jesus is that his historical arrival turned the universe into the Body of Christ, i.e. made God immanent. But according to well validated Hindu/Vedic metaphysics, immanence is the very nature of Reality and not the result of a historical event. It also means, without the immanence of the ultimate reality and its conscious field, manifestation/concealment duality cycles of the universe and other duality cycles of nature are not possible. This is Sankhya Vedic metaphysics (around which the whole hindu tradition was built including its temple, yoga and tantra traditions) which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience.
In mainstream Judaism and Islam, God is transcendent but not immanent. There have been popular claims that Sufism is non-dualistic and hence consistent with immanence, but this needs to be qualified in two ways: (i) Sufism has been a very tiny percentage of Islam throughout Islam's history. (ii) Even more importantly, Sufis experience union with God but clarify when asked that this is not an ontological unity and merely a temporary experience of unity. Mainstream Islam considers claims of ontological oneness with God as blasphemy. So, monotheism followed by ABRAHAMIC religions cannot be validated by logic, experiment or embodied experience.

If he did real bad karmas then he has to suffer more after life by taking forms of life as insects, cattles etc etc only his 7th life will be his human life .
To be frank Hinduism was wide spread all over earth 28000's of years back, there are many proof that China ,Tibet,Thailand ,Australia, North America ,Combodia, Egypt and South African tribes have many similarities to INDIAN TRADITION, WORSHIPPING and CULTURE.
Every Englishmen says Aryabhatta from Hindustan invented number "0" rest were invented by them, but everybody has to check Sanskrit numerics, then whole world will come to know who invented first ,everything we invented were copied 1st ,then destroyed our proofs to make sure we won't raise a voice against them, same like right brothers inventing aeroplanes after they stole the blueprint from INDIA.

I wouldn't use the word "worship" or "prayer" which can confuse Abrahamic religion followers. We can say Hindus revere dharmic animate and inanimate which sustain stability and harmony of the world/universe. In the same way, stone deities in Hindu temples are not worshiped or prayed either.\. Stone deities are used for 2 reasons.
      a. They are used as objects of attraction (so given bath, food and decorated with makeup, dress, jewels etc) for focus and meditation in the presence of Sanskrit mantra vibrations, augmented by temple architecture, sanctum Sanctorum (space where deities are kept) and shape/ posture of deities. So, hindu temples are seen as powerful energy centers.
This technique is for reaching samadhi state which is nothing but the disappearance of perception of subject (ego self) and object (external world or the deity focused upon) split momentarily (temple tradition) or temporarily and permanently (in Yoga tradition) to remove past karma or cause and effect (stored in the subtle body Chitta) and stop reincarnation (birth/death duality cycle) or to fulfill desires with reduced karmic burden
      b. Stone deities are also symbolic representations of the well validated Vedic metaphysics Sankhya, nature (surya (sun), chandra (moon), rain, thunder devatas etc) and laws of nature (Karma, Dharma devatas etc). Devatas maintain cosmic order.
      c. Some of the rituals are also symbolic like offering flowers (to give up memories), bananas (for giving up attachments to anything achieved) and breaking coconuts (to give up ego). As far as "ritual powder" or Vibhuti is concerned, it is nothing, but ash applied on the forehead. It is interpreted either as a symbolic reminder that this body is temporary and will be eventually cremated or just to show that in expanded states of consciousness (so called opening of third eye) one can get cosmic experience.(which is equivalent to manifesting matter)
      d. In the same way, the tradition also gives importance to the concept of dharma or natural law It is the reason why cows/snakes/monkeys/plants/trees are not worshiped but revered for doing their dharmic duty. Always remember, except human species (which violate dharma or the natural law due to ego and free will) non human species (animate and inanimate) are pre-programmed to follow the natural law or dharma.

Hello. Iam a Christian , and I found your question very interesting . The question makes me feel you are a seeker of the truth. I can't speak for Islam regarding how it views women, But I can try to convey as best as I understand, the difference between how Hinduism views women( in a worshipful manner) and how Christianity views women, and specifically how femininity relates to masculinity, and also the rest of creation.
One of the basic principles found in Christianity is the principle of loving and giving. Now most people just think of these as very general terms, as in , they think its the duty of all people to love and give to one another. Christianity views loving and giving from a very hierarchical perspective. The Bible gives a very important principle in a chapter in the book of Hebrews which is " the lesser is blessed by the greater" .
That is to say, God is the ultimate source of blessing. But the channel of blessing flows from him, through a hierarchy. Man being elder than woman( as bible speaks of Adam coming first, and then Eve) , It is he who must bless her, and she must receive this blessing from his hand. Hence from a Christian perspective, worship of woman is not only degrading and cruel to her, but abhorrent as it puts the burden of blessing others on her. While this is not to say that women can't bless others( as we know women are some of the greatest blessings this world has to offer 😌) God ( as the Christians see him) views women as creatures of beauty that must be taken care of and cherished by man. The Bible doesn't ever give woman the role ( and the burden) of having to provide for a man, or play the role of a goddess.
I hope I explained fairly well the difference ( as I've understood it) between how Hinduism views women and how Christianity views them.
      Blessings.🙏

@@joiceamod thank you for your explanation.
Personally I don’t think that women having to bless someone is a burden placed upon them as in Hinduism, the belief is that the world is made up of both masculine and feminine energies, ergo each of the three main gods of the religion have their spouses who are their equals and help them do the needed.

I think the terms women and shakti should not be confused here. Shakti is the feminine creative power in ALL , so also in male crestures. So we shouldnt talk about worshipoing women as such, its the shakti within that we worship
