  • Their sacrifice is more than we could ever repay. This Memorial Day, remember those who gave all for our freedoms.
Honor is theirs, who knew the path of honor. #MemorialDay
Special thanks to Quantico National Cemetery for allowing us to film on their hallowed grounds.

As someone who has grown up around a fire station (my dad is a volunteer), every time I hear amazing grace it makes me think about all of those who have lost their lives protecting everyone

When they played this at my uncles funeral there was only one verse that went through my mind:
And when this flesh and heart shall fail and mortal life shall cease
I shall possess within the vail a life of love and peace

Seemingly inexplicable... There are some few songs many of us might listen to, and possibly bring a range of emotions, like nostalgia or elation. Amazing Grace being played on bagpipes, to me, brings out strong emotions. I fully believe that if there's a song you hear, where it's okay to cry, this certainly would be it. Reminds me of my dear friends who are no longer with us, but are at peace.

You “fully believe…if there’s a song you hear…it’s okay to cry.” Um, yeah. Who doesn’t believe that? An idiot? And you should “fully believe” that it’s ALWAYS okay to cry. What kind of toxic masculinity rules are you living by, dude? Crying is a normal, natural response to normal, natural human emotion. What you said is like saying you “fully believe” it’s okay to be sad. Duh.

@XXjg_ If you're looking for conflict, you won't find it here. You're digging for negativity, and for that, I am sorry if that is what you require in the way you read random comments someone made over a year ago.

    • @XXjg_
      @XXjg_ Před 2 měsíci

@@pineappleginseng1557Negativity, like all things, is relative. I thought YOUR comment was negative because it obviously places judgement on people by adding rules, ridiculously imposed arbitrary rules, on when it's "okay" for a man to cry. Check your self-righteousness. Just because you call someone's comment negative doesn't make it so. In fact, mine is the one that encourages folks to feel what they want to, when they want to. So in my book, MY comment is the positive one.
Also, if it's nothing but a "random comment from a year ago" why are you triggered by it? I'd venture to say because your masculinity doesn't like being challenged. Maybe you felt an incling of how your comment expressed a vulnerability in your perspective. Maybe this is an opportunity to rethink your perspective. And maybe responding to my "random comment" also shows a chink in your logic's armor. Let that sink in, too.

@XXjg_ I ain't reading all that. Thank you for the response anyways. I'll chalk my ignorance to bliss, if that is what you would like to hear. Enjoy the rest of your night.

"Amazing Grace" is the MOST SACRED SONG known to every Christian (Protestant, Lutheran, Catholic, Baptist, etc.)!
    Just listen to the lyrics.
Doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, what race you are or language you speak, when we are in trouble and do know it....
That GRACE is there to save you. Have faith and please believe!!

Not long ago the only pipes in the US Army were the 91st Div Bagpipe and Drum Band. It was an Army Reserve unit in No. CA. It was beyond cool having a bagpipe band as our unit band. Powder River!!

Not fond of the American version of amazing grace on bagpipes, doesn’t sound right. Embelishments always sounded a bit off to me.
