The moment I saw a double spray I thought "he's in for quite a ride!", but you've hit the nail on the head. This fragrance emotes a very stoic personality for me - bringing me back to my core and almost like I have spent the day working with my hands.
I get imagery of working on old cars in a wooden shed, it's grease and dirt and rusty tools. There is no reprieve from the rawness...and I absolutely love it!!!
Yes, was a bit funny when I sprayed twice (I slightly missed my hand on the first spray, so the brain instinctively said "go again"🫣😱)...I've been finding that 3 sprays takes me to forever....no need to 'top up', it just goes.
I love your description of working on a car in a wooden shed; this is the perfect scent atmosphere.

The oud that was used in this composition is most likely to have been soaked for a very long time, because that’s when the buildup of bacteria gives the faecal note to the oud oil.
I really appreciate your input here; you're the expert! I love your explanation and that does make sense....I'm guessing this would be a common practise?

This is a common practice amongst majority of factory distillers. and the purpose for this is to increase yield the reason they soak the wood shavings, in water is to soften the fibres in order to draw out as much oil as possible. This kind of practice is slowly changing, and they are adopting new and more hygienic methods of doing things.
Thanks for this update...I love the various methods that are used for extracting oils in general and love how this technology is always advancing.
@@TheOudArtisanspeaking of oud have you tried the first oud fragrance from the house of profumum Roma? It's called vir, also only thing in their catalog that has cannabis note too. I'd like to hear if you think they are using real oud here
@@TheOudArtisan Hello, I hope you will see this, but I took a quick look on your channel and it seems that Oud is something you master. My question is, do you think that real oud was used in this fragrance, in Cuoium? Because I know that a lot of brands are claiming that ,,oud'' is used in their fragrances. Still, from my little experience with the real raw material, and other reviewers that are more experienced than me, it seems that they used just a little drop and the marketing is used more for bragging reasons. Marcelo! You are truly the Rod Serling of fragrance reviews. Your erudite Twilight Zone-like commentary on fragrance is unique and second to none. I sampled Cuoium awhile back and liked it very much. You may be correct about this fragrance being the last one in the Orto Parisi line. Who knows? I'm sure Alessandro Gaultieri is far from "over". Like other scents in this particular line, they may not be for everyone but grow in stature over time. As I've said many times, Viride had me from the word go. So did Brutus and Terroni. Thanks again for keeping me and 10.9k subscribers in the know about under-the-radar fragrance houses. Looking forward to more excellence!

testing this today, and oh my what a fragrance. powerful, raw and beautiful. also, this bottle is gorgeus. one of the nicest bottles I’ve seen. I keep my fragrances in a cool, dark place, but if I do end up buying a full bottle of this, I’ll probably keep it on display in my living room lol! this is my second favourite of the Orto Parisi line I’ve tried so far, just behind Terroni.

Would be a nice thought that Alessandro has seen one or two of these episodes but I'm going to say that this is unlikely. I've read that he's not a fan of the Social Media chatter and stays away from it all. The dream would be one day to meet him (even though the thought of this is equal part scary!); I would love to interview him and hear first hand on the process of creation....that would be fun.
I am familiar with Francesca Bianchi; her fragrance's are extraordinary. Maybe she's the next 'focus'....I am looking for the next project to dive into; we'll see what comes up

Another world class review! Together with Megamare, these are the very best of the collection for me. Both are beautiful powerhouse beasts! The difference is the dry down - while Megamare is kicking noses around, this one is more personal and gentle to everybody around you. Very pure and bold leather fragrance, but still very sensual. Nevertheless you need some practice to wear this thing. It suits the bold and confident wearer! I myself am still not sure in buying a whole bottle and go for samples (shy face)
I totally agree with everything that you just shared here Ivan.....the good news is that when you do buy your full bottle, you'll have it for the rest of your life and even pass it on to your boys because you only need 2 sprays to give you 24hrs+😎

Определено трябва да се пробва преди да се купи. 2 спрея са достатъчни за 24+ часа като през първите 6 часа, хората около теб ще се оплакват и ще ги боли главата ако са в непосредствена близост. След това проекцията му намаля, усеща се повече сладост и поне при мен - няма негативни коментари от този момент нататък. Отварянето е много силно и дори леко натрапчиво. Изгледай ревюто и на Илко Соколов, доста ни се припокриват мненията. В София го има на две места за проба: Ателие на Съборна и в шоурума на парфюм.бг като там е тестерна бройка и цената му е изключително примамлива.
Единствен недостатък според мен е, че има доста ограничена употреба според мен този аромат.

Personally I love it!.
This is my "ride or die" fragrance when it comes to heavy metal concerts or when I am gigging with my band ..
The raw animalic leather here ...empowers me while cranking my amp to 10!

This fragrance makes me feel like I can do anything. When I wear it, it fills be with confidence and makes me feel like an animal. I love Bergamask, but when I bought Cuoium everything clicked.

Cependant, je le trouve assez ressemblent à Duro de Nasomatto.
Oui ce parfum est puissant et je dois admettre qu'il dure éternellement. Je ne trouve pas les similitudes avec Duro.
Je trouve que Duro a un pouvoir subtil. Alors que Cuioum est le pouvoir brutal.

This is one that I don’t have in my collection… Yet.
I haven’t quite resonated with Nudiflorum as yet. However, I do need to revisit this fragrance and see if I feel differently about it.
What are your thoughts on it?
This fragrance is definitely an interesting one, but i regret buying it because i struggle to find an occasion or an event where it would be appropriate to wear this fragrance, it’s probably more suited to a tough rugged guy than me
I have to agree with you @Lucignolo; this is a fragrance for 'you'....if you rock up to a party wearing this, I think you'll scare everyone.
I actually love traveling with this perfume. If I'm going interstate on my own, then Cuoium is my traveling companion....lasts forever.
A recommendation is to layer this fragrance with a citrus, it changes the dimension of this perfume and works if I'm now meeting someone.
I like using either
Neroli Oranger by Matiere Premiere or
Acancia di Sicilia by Perris Monte Carlo
Spray Cuoium first; wait 3-4 hours and then spray the other on top....MAGIC!💫

We don't get the Akro brand in Australia so I haven't really experienced this brand properly. I came across it in Milan back in June, but I was smelling so many perfumes that I can't remember a thing😩

Yep, it's a genuine question. The funny thing...yes
But it's not for everyone. As I mentioned in this episode it's a big 'no' from my wife. There's no way that I can wear this when I'm with her....but for me. It's glorious.
I have a friend who loves really animalic leathers, ouds, incense and they smell amazing on him...the sillage that they produce are awesome.
So it's one of things where you gotta pick your audience!

Marcelo. Great graphics to open the video. This is what leather parfum should smell like, but they don't. Agree with your description. Big hitter. Eternal longevity but not a bombastic room clearer. I hope AG has more chapters to the Orto Parisi line. I can envision the next chapter as "war befalls the garden" with notes of stainless steel, Gunpowder, Smoke, sadly blood, trampled vegetation, petroleum, cold crisp morning air, mud, cotton clothes. Somehow AG would make completely wearable. That would be a fitting close.
Thanks Steve and yes, I have a feeling that there will be more to come from Mr AG....you can't contain that kind of talent. But I did think similar to you that I can see a new direction coming around...I do feel that there's a bit of a 'full stop' with this recent release (but hey, what do I know😂)

I wanted to elaborate on why did Alessandro use a leather wrap around the bottle, where he hadn’t done this for any of the others.
It in turn made me think of a book that is leather bound once the author has finished writing the story; So I stretched a very long bow on this narrative… clearly I was very wrong🙄
I am excited to see what else the great Alessandro comes out with as everything he creates is always a unique experience.

I'm yet to explore the House of Zoologist. I have smelt one or 2 of them but not really seriously. Having said that, they would be a brand that I know I'll enjoy.
I'm guessing this is a House that you might have some experience with? Recommendations on where to start?
