- Welcome to my Toyota motorhome tour of my RV name Honey! This is what Honey looks like after a year + of owning her! I've spent many hours painting, sewing and wallpapering (as well as a major water damage rebuild)....and I love the way she turned out! She is tiny, but comfortable. At 21 feet in length, she needs to be organized or else chaos ensues! I'm packed up for a trip south with my oldest daughter, but took the time to film a short small rv tour for you. HI--you mention replacing the kitchen faucet. I have the same RV as you (love it) but I want to replace the kitchen faucet. It's a really tight fit trying to reach under and behind the sink to get to the faucet. Can you give me any advice?
@@debmulder1192 Hi Deb...yes it was a squeeze alright. First, you'll need a light of some kind so you can see what the heck you're doing under there! I used a headlamp. Next, you really just need to see what works for you. I added shark bite connectors to mine, which made reconnecting everything much easier than messing around with the old school connections. Drain your water tank and then run the pump to clear out the pipes, or you'll end up with water running out, down your arms and into your armpits!! It is a fiddly job, but relatively simple to do. It really is just getting your hands in there and getting things disconnected and then reconnected. The tap I installed was a bar sink tap, so a little smaller than a regular kitchen tap. You shouldn't need to drill new holes or anything as faucets are pretty standard. I had never done this before. My husband always does this kind of thing. But, I'm determined to do as much of the work on Honey as I can and learn as I go. There are lots of videos and websites you can look at to help you as well.
I do remember the one pipe had to go in behind the sink and I had a hard time seeing what my hands were doing.But, don't give up! You got this!-Sue

@@JennIfer-xe7us I haven't started yet. I work full time so won't be able to start for a little while, I thought it would make a good winter project with the RV winterized anyway. I'm not sure which project to tackle this year, I want to get rid my carpet too....and want to make some roman shades so I have a lot to choose from. Julie Preimesberger Hi Julie...no kit. I found a box framed picture I liked that would fit over the panel. Bought tiny hinges and strong magnets. The magnets are glued on both the wall and the frame edge. Ta da! Pretty easy!

It was at least satisfying to have it taken away from the thieves. We did get a new to us trailer to replace the Jayco trailer, which I am about to start an interior Reno on. I really enjoyed the tour! I'm a avid Toyota owner when it comes to vehicles so I was very interested to see this RV tour! You absolutely nailed it with the choice of color and wallpaper accents throughout! It actually made your RV look more spacious than it is! I personally would not use the shower for storage but I understand why people do that. Thank you so much for the connection! God Bless!
Hi Amy! We're also Toyota people! I drive a 2007 Yaris that I just love and has been so dependable. Thanks for the nice comments! I have found that I do use the shower as well as use it for storage. It just takes a little work to clear it out and then I can shower. Take care and many blessings!

Welcome GC! Thanks so much for subbing, watching and commenting! Where I am at the moment, on Vancouver Island, we also don't usually get much snow, except, of course, when trying to leave on a trip! Our sticks and bricks though, gets quite a bit of snow that stays all winter long. And then there is our cabin which is on the BC/Yukon border and also gets snow all winter. Good thing I like snow! But, I also enjoy escaping it for a time in Arizona. We'll be heading south in February next year and look forward to some warm sunny days!

PS I'm in the deciding on what motor home to get stage. I REALLY want one of these Toyota powered jobbies! But they're hard to find and it seems to be a seller's market so they're costly.

Thanks Jeanne! I'm certainly missing my Honey. I left her parked at my Mom's on Vancouver Island while my husband and I went on our yearly snowbird trip (in our trailer) to the US and then had to head back to our sticks and bricks to quarantine. We haven't been able (or allowed) to get over to the Island, and don't know when we will. The ferries are essential services only right now, mainly trucks of goods for the Island. Somehow I don't think me saying "But...I neeeed to go get my Honey!!" qualifies, LOL!. We are doing great at our Little Shack though and keeping busy with new gardens and yard work. Hope you are staying well and keeping busy!-Sue
Honey and Me Well goodness I thought I was looking at the latest and greatest video, I was really super happy that you were able to get out and go on a trip!!! I didn’t even look at the date, lol!! Well I hope things open up soon. We are taking a few cautious steps forward here in Ohio. But nothing that changes anything for me and I think I will probably lay low and see how things go when they do change before I change along with them. It’s a beautiful spring day here in Ohio and I have a apple tree in blossom close by and I am enjoying my patio this afternoon where the wind chimes are playing softly. Life could be worse!

You did a great job on the inside ! I’ve always liked those motor homes . For one easy to drive & park & they don’t take up a lot space . If was to go full time living in a RV I’d be looking to find a Toyota motor home .

@@robertwhite9898 Hi Robert! I agree! If I had to choose between hauling our 25ft trailer around or driving the Toyota, I’d definitely choose the Motorhome. When my husband and I travel together we take the truck and trailer and he does all the driving. And I enjoy it, don’t get me wrong😁But I’m always thinking, it would be so much easier to park the Toyota, it would be so much easier to drive in the city, back country, ANYWHERE!! Lol! So, I take every chance I can get to go out on my own! In Honey the Toyota Motorhome!

Thanks! That would be great! We're hoping to be on the road more after this year when our youngest is done with school. It'll be an empty nest, which is sad for me, but it will be a new adventure too.
