- In this video I am bringing you a Forrest Gump tiny house on wheels camper. LOL I say that because you absolutely don't know what you will get from looking at the outside of this vintage Toyota rv. It is simply stunning on the inside. The love and care that was taken restoring this little gem is evident from the beautiful countertops to the decorative floor and so much more. One of the most interesting things that I have never seen is the battery bank made from batteries taken from medical devices. You can boondock for days with those batteries.
If you are as in love with this rig as I am let me know in the comments. And do please hit that LIKE button to help me bring you more great content like this. - Zábava
Hi it's coy. I was overwhelmed by the love we got showing our camper. This took a few years and many things were done 2 or 3 times before we were satisfied. The pillows, fabric, headliner, tool finder, ladder holder, final decisions, and moral support was all done by my wife Sylvia. It was such a pleasure meeting Carol ❤. Thank you!!!
I thank you and your lovely wife for sharing your beautiful little home on wheels. Anyone who sees it can't help but fall in love with it.
You’ve got a great rig there, man! Hope I get to hear you play sometime!
I really enjoyed meeting the two of you yesterday...such a lovely couple. ❤
This is so beautiful Coy, I love this cozy camper, simply adorable ❤❤❤, thanks for sharing
Love musical artist’s anyway, so no surprise you are so artistically talented
Susie from Michigan
Yeah...great rig...and a musician
Absolutely beautiful and unique! What a talented man Coy is!
Thank you, I would say it's not talent but a labor of love. Man y things were done multiple times until we got it right.
Hi Coy! It’s your neighbor, Mary, in the little bus behind you! It was so great meeting you and your wife, and chatting so much! I hope our paths cross again and again, and again!
Hi Mary...loved your bus and especially chatting with you....I hope we see each other again soon :D
As a Toyota motorhome owner I "LOVED" this video. We would like to see more vintage RV's as those are the ones in our price range.
Thank you, most of our ideas came from the amazing community of toyota motorhome owners.❤
Toy Moho owner here too! Beautiful remodel!
Wow what a beautiful home, love the color of refrigerator, air fryer, tea pot.
Me too. Everything goes together so we'll!!
Lol, Coy and his pretty wife are youngsters to me 😆. Gorgeous camper! They did an amazing job!!!
They really did do a fabulous job in this remodel. It is not only gorgeous but also homey at the same time.
I really like these old Toyota RVs. This one is gorgeous!
The love.put into this remodel shows for sure!
Thanks Carol,
What an adorable camper, I could definitely live there lol, it’s just my size, I love their style and what they have done
I could definitely live there. It has everything one wohld need and even a guest bed!
I'm also a Toyota Motorhome owner and always love seeing others who have lovingly updated theirs. I own a 1991/2 Itasca Spirit and have also redone the interior and last summer painted the exterior. Her name is 'Honey'. She is my happy place. Well done, Coy and Sylvia! You did an amazing job!
Lucky you to have a vintage beauty as your happy place.
He did a great job on the countertops. They're beautiful. 👍
They were incredible!
What a sharp looking rig. I definitely could watch more of these videos 😊
Aftrr seeing this rig I am definitely on the hunt for well done vintage rigs!!
Stunning 😍 thank you for sharing your lovely home on wheels! A true labor of 💕 Love.
Another well done video Carol, thank you so much😊
OH! MY! I WANT THIS!!
Now on the hunt ... I am amazed at his talent! And the patience in learning. Those batteries! Who da thunked it! It's great to see people able to design/create what is needed without spending money on the expensive items - because now, van/car/truck living is a thang, every thing needed has increased in price - even the vehicles. The "poor man's mini split" - ingenius!!
Thanks for sharing and, YES! I want to see more vintage vehicles!
Enjoy your weekend!!
xxoo
We all want this🤣 The end results certainly donhighlight how much can be done with diligence amd creativity.
This is such a wonderful build! So inspired. Thanks to the beautiful couple for sharing their awesome rig with us!
Carole,,Thnx so much...Best tour ever....so inspiring....a very deluxe rig....I say...Yeah,VINTAGE
They just don't.make things, or people🤣the way they used to!
Thank you Carol absolutely stunning camper ❤️❤️❤️😇
Even more so in person!
Beautiful job! I just love the handmade butcher block and sink covers. And the little turquoise fridge is so cute. The sofa is great, too.
Great video. Passed him all the way here.
Beautiful rig! More tours please!
So cozy! We traded our 1989 RV for a new 5th wheel, I would rather have our older RV. Much nicer sleeping arrangement and no huge tow vehicle. It’s wonderful to see a couple having so much fun with their home on wheels.
Ohhhhh my goodness!!!! This rig Is BEAUTIFUL!!!! ❤❤❤
Every inch was thought out!!
Very nice, very creative ideas…love seeing old vintage trailers come back to life. Great job 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🥰🤗🏠
Beautiful just beautiful
I have the same refrigerator in my 1974 camper! I also have a matching microwave!
I bet that looks very cool!
I LOVE that fridge!
My grandfather had a Frigidaire that looked like that only bigger. It still had the ice trays you pull up to crack the ice. He also had a double ring washer.
He put himself through electronics school through a correspondence course from Tennessee Tech wayyyy before the Internet.
Whenever something would go out, he would be able to rewire it and keep it going. That double ring washer lasted all the way until he passed away in 2015!
I still remember seeing the little certificate on his wall from the IBEW granting him a pension 🥰

Love these kind of videos!
I'll do too🥰
Love these old Toyotas
Me too, especially after seeing this one!
Love this. I'm refurbing my 92 Toyota Itasca. Love the inspiration. Please do more.
I will definitely look for more beautiful vintage remodels!
Thanks for the tour! Your rv is beautiful and cozy!
Really great Job. That's my biggest worry getting old camper breaking down
That is understandable. Getting a vehicle with a great reputation helps.
Very cool retro rig with amazing upgrades & personalization! Thank you so much for the tour!
That was cool. I love anything vintage.
Most stationary homes aren't this beautifully customized. And you did the work yourself! This is brilliant...well done. 😁☯️🖖
You can certainly tell these are artistically talented folks who did this build.
aww shucks thank you for the kind words :D@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621
I have one of these, had it for decades, but only taken it camping once. Had the mechanics 'gone over with a small tooth comb,' and all rubber hoses replaced, as well as a valve job, and new roof, added vent covers. Bought a house battery for it, that goes under the hood, but not sure how to connect it. It is fun to find faux vintage items to give it character. I covered the seats and made new curtains, as well as bought a couple of blackout curtains for privacy and will make other curtains with the other pair. Would like to replace the carpeting with laminate flooring and hook up an air conditioner, however I already have a couple cube type conditioners that are new and supposed to be efficient. Love having a rear view camera, and will replace the radio with a new one. I too love turquoise appliances. Keep being asked if it is for sale, but tell people I want to use it myself first!
get out there!! before they price you out of the fuel market eh?
Whenever you decide to sell it folks will be lining up🤣
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 They already knock on my door asking to buy it!
Absolutely incredible!!! Geeat video..i almost bought a similar one 1989 toyota with a dolphin build..but i was unsure if it would do ok in mountains...he mentioned adding something to it?? Could he elaborate what it was to give it more power down the road..???? I really really am impressed..perfect retro camper remodel❤😊
Hi, I added exhaust headers, and lowered the rear differential gear ratio from 4:10 to 4:88. Both made huge difference in climbing speed. It's an automatic with 4cy 22re engine. Newer shocks, aftermarket bump stops, new steering stabalizer In front end. It's as or more reliable than our Newer cars. An 89 probably has the 6cyl so plenty of power
What a great Rig 😊Well done 👏🏾 🏕✌🏿
How handy and creative he is!
Very!
Simply beautiful🎉🎉🎉
Love the vintage builds! I have a 2003 Ford e350 econoline. These videos inspire me on how to build mine out!
I have heard that hose Econolines go forever!
That's what we did...you can find inspiration and ideas everwhere.
I hope so.. trying to retire early and hit the road! RENT goes up 7% .. pay increase 3%.
Amazing tiny house on wheels! such loving touches! Thank you!
What a fabulous little rig. I'm sure it does very well on mileage also. Wonderful redo! I could definitely live in one of these :)
Me too!
About 15mpg...It drives like a 1 ton pickup truck, with 2 tons in the back.
Wow! That really is impressive. You do an excellant job interviewing folks.
Thumbs up!👍
Annnd Yes, vintage rules!😃
Thank you. Vintage does rule. Made to last unlike current junk!
Fabulous rig! So spacious, special and cozy!
Fantastic. More like these, if you please!
It will be difficult to find another vintage camper this beautiful, but I'll try!
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 Point well taken. Though I am happy to see any re-done campers or THOWs (tiny houses on wheels). Thank you, beautiful lady.
WOW, Well done, you guys nailed it, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing ✌️💞🤟
Yes LOVE seeing the vintage vans
The one thing I would have done differently would be the bar stools. Instead of securing them to the floorz taking up more floor space, I would have mounted those swing out stools that are on kind of an arm that can swing out to sit on and tuck under the counter to get out of the way completely. And then you can use that bar top as another counter space and a standing desk without having to lean or reach over the stools.
tried that, and a couple other things... you need to have very strong studs to support that weight and this area is over the rear wheelwell. but before all that the L shapped couch and table were very awkward setting up and walking around...this footprint gave us inches of extra space and nothing that has to be set up or torn down all the time.
Thanks for explaining that. 🙂
Beautiful , I love the inside, it is great. Thanks for sharing.
Great rebuild ...all god looking finishes ....the old one,s are best for space .....watching from SCOTLAND ....(ur wee dog is smashing too)
stay well 💖 👍.
Welcome from beautiful Scotland!!🤗
That's a very gorgeous motorhome I like it great job a real beauty 😊😊😊😊
Such a gorgeous location!!!
You should see the sunsets!!!

Feel like I'm listening to Joan Cusack, it's quite soothing lol!
Very nice.
You find the most creative people! ❤
Very cool ❤
Beautiful 😊
A charming home.
stunning
It really is. This video doesn't begin to do it justice!!
Great video and incredible Vintage Camper. Can you repeat the name of your two band names in which you play. I couldn't quite catch the two titles. Watching from Dublin Ireland 💚💚🍀🍀🇮🇪😺😺💚💚🍀🍀💚
Know illusion, and the bonethumpers
Thanks for that. When I go to the US, I would like to see them play. 💚💚🍀🍀😺😺🇮🇪🇮🇪💚🍀🍀
Great creativity
Absolutely better quality than anything new.
Rehab these older RV's, cabinets are solid wood.
We went to 2 RV camper shows and one was so bad fake wood it was like a Fingerhut 1972 simulated woodgrain in plastic Etegere'.
The tables, counters, and surfaces were cheap plastic, drawers were that laminated particle board stuff on cheap flimsy slides, the aluminum frames are flimsy & prone to twisting.
Still gobsmacked.
Buy pre 2018 for quality, pre 2010 no-DEF diesel.
I looked at a new rv and was appalled at the quality. The walls didn't meet inside the cabinets and wires were hanging out. On the shower wires were protruding so that they would get wet and so much more. It was awful. And the contracts you have to sign give up practically all your rights to recourse for when, not if, something fails. No thank you!
That’s beautiful.
Good job, Mate! Vintage is 👌
I am creating a zen retreat, and this encourages me to make it my own.
Sound interesting
🇺🇸 Impressive Renovate, WoW Spectacular Work👍imma do to my RV trailer, this one im in now, but im glad to see yours absolutely hope filled for mines👍🇺🇸
These vintage trailers have so much potential to be stunningly beautiful if done right. They were built so much better than the ones sold now.
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 ⭐Exactly🇺🇸"Craftsmanship" when such work was . . . . ..👍
This was my favorite at the RTR!
It is stunning, isn't it. 😊
Hello from Puerto Rico
🤗Hello in Puerto Rico
just a tip..soap helps wood draws and wooden things slide better
Great tip.
Back in the day these mini motorhomes were very popular. Hope you have the upgraded axles, as the originals were prone to failure which led Toyota to stop supplying the chassis. The V6 was a welcome upgrade over the rugged by overtaxed R22.
This is the first year that came with the full floating axle, and the last year they used the 22re. The V6 had a headgasket problem and recall I believe. Headers and lower geared differential made a huge difference in my climbing power. They are still very popular and I get approached often by people asking if I'll sell it.
Having worked at a furniture company, I can say I've never seen mahogany wood at either of my Home Depot's!
it was in the project wood section and expensive...bought by the foot. I'm sure my local lumber store would have had better offerings but I just grabbed what I saw that day.
Check.out Coy's answer.
lovely
Nice job
Nice
Kool great job ❤❤❤
Hi. Am i the first comment here? 😁
I love this channel. ❤🎉
I don't know if you are the 1st or not but thank you whatever # you are🥰🥰🥰
I am stunned by how much fits along the passenger side. I have a 22' warrior and the door is right by the bed, then a dinette then the fridge. I took out the dinette and put in a long bench seat but it doesn't look longer than this table that replaced his dinette. Yet there's more room with the back up chair. I'd love to get a measurement on how long the stand up bar table is so I can visualize it. I want to do the same thing when I get a battery system (currently using a bulky bluetti)
So.many ideas in this build to consider.
Hi, ours is also 22'. If I had the dinette model we prob would have kept it as our chair and door makes the area too small for one. Our bar is 48" across and was our solution to having a place to eat while making a wider walkway and housing our electronics and diesel heater. I would guess your area is about 60" wide
@@CoyBass1432 thank you!!
Toyota. The best
It sure is. Lasts forever!
Its cute
"Is this a second bed or the only bed?"
"This is a full size bed." Lol
Being interviewed on camera made me nervous :D
@@CoyBass1432 haha it was funny!
You did great as evidenced by the comments😊
Hi this is a beautiful build! Is there a link to the mini fireplace?🤗
I could not find it but search "fake fireplace small" and look for one without a heater...you will find many. Ours came with legs but I removed them to fit the space
If you look on Amazon and put in Decant mini battery fireplace there is a similiar one.
very nice guess it's not solar powered?
Its completely solar powered...it has 1000 watts of solar panels on the roof, 540ah 12v battery,2500-5000 peak pure sine wave inverter connected to all ac outlets
I ve searched the comments, but can not find the name of the batteries he has impressively used. Could anyone help me? I can not read the brand on the video…
Valence
Thank you Coy.
CANT IMAGNE NOT BEING ABLE TO SIT UP IN BED
We could sit up when the mattress was 4" then we went to 6" and can't....going back to 4 soon and getting rid of the split.
I see Coy answered. Although, if you are just in the bed to sleep and spend the rest of the day using the rest of the trailer or are outside I think it would be manageable. What wohld be more difficult for me is being in a space in which I couldn't stand up at all.
Fantastic build. The video would be better if the woman would stop interrupting the owner - just let the guy talk about his van!
There are certain questions I know my core viewers will want answered in the short time allotted for my videos. So I need to ask them.
@@CoyBass1432 Thanks for the offer; here are just two questions for you: (1) Is every group surjunctive? (2) Are there an infinite number of Leinster groups?
@@gloriouslifeonwheels3621 Disagree. That would perhaps be valid if all of your interruptions were to ask questions, however this is not the case. Just one example - your first interruption of the guy was when he was talking about his grandmother, and you asked no question.
You said you were going to let him do the talking, but you wouldn’t stop talking AND you kept talking over him!! Sad!
Nice !
I have been looking at campers for a while and this is with out a doubt the most beautiful creative one I have seen unbelievable!
Isn't it just beautiful!!
Wow, thank you!!! I'm pretty overwhelmed by the love we got showing it.
🇺🇸 Impressive Renovate, WoW Spectacular Work👍imma do to my RV trailer, this one im in now, but im glad to see yours absolutely hope filled for mines👍🇺🇸
I would love to see yours when you are done. These vintage trailers can really be turned into something spectacular!
Let me gauage this🤔☕ I'll keep in touch, but definitely this one the old build has insulation advantages, I'm in Arizona, intense heat, New Air conditioning I had added👍in any heat incident🇺🇸👍
