- Drone flying over Labrador City provided some great aerial views of Newfoundland Labrador, Canada. This was my first city in Labrador I visit after taking the ferry from Newfoundland. I did stop in several small towns and enjoyed the coastal drive north. I hope more Canadians get to enjoy this beautiful area. After this I will drive to Quebec and head north again up James Bay Road to the end. I continued all of these north drives till I got to Tuk and the Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. Taking all of August and a little more to drive Canada and Alaska is fun and I cannot wait to repeat this same drive with different bears, moose etc. 😎

I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.

and...Everyone of us walked every street, knew every path through the ditches....- 40 with Leather jacket and jeans haha, couldnt handle that anymore, i miss the 'old' Lab City, and miss so many friends from a bygone era :)
Deffinitely has grown and the road to it is better at least from the west. The east road to the ice burgs and ferry could use a little help :)

It is not an easy city to get to unless you fly - the drive is worth it all if you have patients and a good vehicle :)

I'm from Lah City! Left for college in 2000 and haven't been back since Xmas 2001-2002. Your drone was almost near my house I grew up in! I lived on Embassy Ave from 1981 till 2000 :)
Wow! This was my first time to the area and your beautiful city. I took about 5 weeks to drive all backroads of Canada through every providence and territory except Nunavut which you know I cannot drive to. I have loved Canada since my first entry in 1985 and spent all weekends there for about 6 months when I lived in Detroit. I travel there at least once per year and many times some years for the serenity from the fast business pace I have lived. I have many pictures over the years to show, but people don't seem to appreciate these. My videos I hope give a purpose to where I travel and my hopes are that more people enjoy this beautiful area one day by going to see this city and so much more I have enjoyed :) I hope you enjoyed the James Bay road when you were there and got to the coast to see many ice burgs.
@@JamesBeBop That is an awesome story buddy. There is nothing fast about how we live in Eastern Canada. I can totally relate to,why you do this. Escaping the hustle and bustle of life and to just breathe fresh air. I was displaced from my home(Cape Breton) for 10 years to seek the big money and fast lifestyle of the big cities but I'm happy being broke and home now.
Keep enjoying the moment - something I missed all to often :)

You have some of the best nature views within about 300 kilometers. I would drive east and photograph icebergs every year if I lived there😎
@@JamesBeBop yeah that's a big reason I love going on road trips to Newfoundland from lab city for vacation alot. Just so much beautiful scenery ! Especially fun if you bring a kayak and really go adventuring lakes and rivers along the way!
I bet - I thought of traveling with a quad to see more beyond my hikes, but never considered a kayak. I have other videos in your area of nature so I saw some of the waterways.
@@JamesBeBop oh it's a beautiful place to go exploring off the beaten path both on the Labrador side of the province and on the Newfoundland side kayaking is something I definitely recommend trying out next time you get the chance!

This year I plan Scandinavia (haven't enjoyed Finland yet) for their view of the aroura borealis which I am confident you have seen many times and then all of South America in December.Maybe 2020 :)

is it permafrost all year round or does the soil thaw completely every summer?
I walked through several wooded areas where you will see I filmed and the soil is soft the first few inches. I slid down a large hill. Natural grass and flowers were in the wooded area to the about 50-kilometers west of here. Happy you found my travel channel with over 1,000 videos from around the world :)
@@JamesBeBop So there is indeed in the summer a constant permafrost then starting from a certain depth?
BTW, you know how I found your channel? I was scrolling through google earth to find some remate vilages in Canada, and this was one of them, so I went to youtube to look for some video material about them.

You are in lab city but you only flew around a quarter of the town you left out the school and the mall ..iocc entrance… churches… other neighborhoods.
Maybe next time I can get the other side :) Not driving that far north next year.

Why the gay dance club music? Do you spend a lot of time in gay dance clubs? Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it didn't seem to fit the visuals.
