President Mahmoud Abbas has named his financial adviser as the new prime minister.
70-year-old Mohammad Mustafa has ample experience in economics, but little in politics.
The move has surprised many -- violence is escalating in the occupied West Bank and Israel's war on Gaza shows no sign of ending.
So, how could this appointment shape the future of the PA?

My dad worked as a mechanic in Beirut, long time ago, when the PLO was active there and Arafat was their leader. And Mahmod Abbas used to fix his cars there. My dad told me that he hated Abbas, he was seeing himself as a king, and was very selfish, and always chased women. Now I look at the PA and understand that can money buy your soul.

The Palestinian Government is quite relevant especially today as God has turned around the Genocide Government of Israel under the Netanyahu leadership to a different course. Prayers are always the answer to stop wickedness and brutality and we must have patience and steadfastness in our faith regardless of differences in religion or ethnicity. We are all children of the same God and many chose to leave the family but we must have patience. I thank God for the many brothers and sisters under One God who accepted this challenge. Good will come from our prayers and encouragement to make a peaceful society.
