The double pak is good if you’re blitzing the center line. I like the pak lop if zoning

Hey Nate. Great traps. I did notice an economy improvement we could use. Let me explain. When he punched in that first shot as you demonstrated the inside bui gee jamming the arm. If you just USE THE HAND already in. (Ya?) then push the voice box with a deliberate controlled push .. your then free right hand can CHEUNG. (To which he won’t block but if he does) we used BUI and CHEUNG inside finishing off with the right hand right? Ok so if he does block it “THROW AN INSIDE HOOK (left hand) from just inside the bicep? (Ya?) ok.. good brother. I discovered something I call “THE VIPERS DIAMOND just inside of the opponents bicep area. We stay very active in there. 3 strikes in a intercepted strike. ⚠️just an idea! You may find this opens up huge economies for you in the tight trap. Bless you bud ..

Make available that JKD training for all of us that's what I wants to learn ...not some moves.
    Thank you

These videos take time and are not free. My students pay $150 a lesson to learn in person. The ones who support and value the training help to keep me making videos on CZcams. Be grateful for those people because they make free content possible. I will make both free and membership videos. Members do get better and more substantial content because it’s only fair since they are paying for the service. If you choose not to support monetarily that’s fine. You can help by liking, sharing and commenting positively. Then if the videos grow and make enough through ads alone I would happily put out more free videos. We all need to eat too. Thanks for your comment and please enjoy the free content when they are uploaded. 😊

That obviously doesn’t mean SIFU NATES was wrong. To the contrary. He’s giving us the straight scoop. I just happen to stumble upon a way to cock or load a nasty inside punch. If I jam with BUI left hand my left hand keeps going in that little bit more of space. Just enough to touch the throat. The cross brings in a straight vertical cheung (fast) as this action may miss. But since we skipped trying to clear the arm and go outside. We stay inside and 1-2-3 jam punch and PUNCH!😎🙏lol using a nice hook or cross punch depending on footing. ⚠️✅just ideas to play with. 🧐I’m a nerd lol 😂

So it would be JAM LEFT HAND BUI GEE PUNCH RIGHT HAND CHEUNG and drop an INSIDE LEFT HOOK from just inside the bicep. I call these CARTRIDGE PUNCHES. Chik chik..

Dear Nate, but how do you handle the fakes and deception of Western Boxing, such as fake Jan's and such?... they are so hard to counter. Similar to the continuous jabbing of a Snake stylist who can harass with their jabbing finger strikes to the face and eyes, likewise the Boxing jab is as problematic, especially if the fingers are used.
Could it be that a style such as Eagle Claw, Mantis or Tiger be the answer?.. a styles which specialize in catching, ripping and Chin-Nna?

You don't think that is far too many moves versus someone who isn't doing anything?
I suppose you're emphasizing entry techniques, and ones gotta start somewhere, but that still feels like too much movement because the other person could easily interrupt at any stage of the series after the first Pak if you both are flowing.
The first demo, why not shuffle step in and do a tan or leem sao with a simultaneous strike with the right hand?
The second one, with the outside pak, why not step in pak da?
Stepping in IS a part of trapping, because you are trapping by gumming up the other person's techniques, hopefully by also stepping through their horse, hence chi gerk.
I remember fondly watching your videos a decade ago then you sort of disappeared I guess. Over a decade later I came to my own conclusions regarding all my research and training and bottom line up front any attempt at controlling strikes at range with outstretched limbs compromised your stance, while jamming them by stepping in accomplishes what was sought while not surrendering your elbow to potentially a better opponent who knows how to control it, because you are still limber but focused instead of committed.
Maybe this is a sort of introduction video, judging from your shirt you seem to have committed to entry techs earlier on, and I don't know who the other guy is, student or what not, but traditionally other systems teach people how to fight at range and get in, WC teaches people how to fight once you're "IN," and advanced students learn how to close.
Anyway, good to see you online again.

It is to many moves but sometimes the longer way is more efficient if done smoothly in transition and speed.
If they were to interrupt it then it would still lead to the same end. In fact that is what is happening. He is trying to interrupt me so therefore I resort to this trapping sequence.
The shortest move would be I hit him directly and in JKD the intercepting fist does just that. No need for all these movements if I can make the hit happen then these are unnecessary.
To explain what is happening is I am improving my position from the first Pak to the tan and then the other Pak. Crawling up the arm to gain more and more control. If done quickly it can move the strongest arm by striking it away three times incrementally and moving closer each time.
Then the punch goes out but he blocks it so then I need to Pak that hand down and move up even closer to take more ground and control the arms to trap. Once both hands are immobilized then the final punch lands.
This is a drill for such a situation which may or may not happen but it also develops sensitivity and is great to learn the concept of small movements to gain an advantage.
This is also great fun and flashy for film. My training partner here is a stuntman and loves these kinds of things. 😆

Great on the other analysis and of course there are more efficient ways to do this. I’m speaking about Simultaneous movements. In that sense it’s dumbed down to one move at a time. But that would be taught first before shortening them down to simultaneous or near simultaneous movements.
Glad to hear you were a viewer from a decade ago. Also great to hear you have done your research, trained and studied many things since then. Your discovery of fixed elbow position and forward pressure. Occupying centerline and keep a flexible “alive” kind of soft tension is excellent! Once someone understands this everything starts to fall into place and then you begin to use less and less effort. It’s like seeing a overhead view instead of trying to keep your head above water.
The video is out of order of when someone would learn this or that. It’s simply a technique that happened to be what we did that day. This is a stuntman friend who I’m demonstrating with.
The full members only lessons are in order of logical and developmental training. 😊🙏
