hiiii welcome back to the glow up project! I took a lot of last year to focus on myself and not document the journey because i found that filming it got in the way of real progress, but now that I've learned more about myself, I'm ready to get back into this series and I'm ready to grow even more! So follow me along this journey and let's write our own story :)))

Gurl, I never comment, but I HAD to shout out on the work of all the cuts, angles, dynamics. Such a great job 🤌
For keeping a room clean the best thing you can do is to notice where you pile things up and what it is.
Pile of clean laundry? Decorative basket in that spot
Pile of clean dishes? Cute dish drying rack with a cute drain cloth underneath
Pile of makeup crap on your counter? Put it on a pretty tray and have toothbrush holders for clean and dirty brushes.
Pile of candy wrappers? A decorative lidded box with a little bag inside (aka a Boujee trash can)
Pile of letters? A plain folder like you're a secret agent.
Post it notes everywhere and bits of scrap paper? Put a small notepad there instead with paper color that matches the decor.
Simple but effective.
The mess is still right where it belongs, and in the spot that obviously is the most natural place for you to sit.
Literally exactly the same as when I was messy but now it's not mess because it has a home in that spot

Girl I started my own glow up project alongside you three years ago and ngl my room is still messy, went to sleep at 5am last night, got up at 2pm and still don’t consistently exercise. But even so the amount of GROWTH since ‘21 is an actual world record for me so I’m super stoked for another episode and more fuel to continue to get my life together 😅

I love to plan out the organization of my room before cleaning it, but today I decided f the olan just do it. I happened to wake up at 4am today feeling genuinely rested, threw on this video and started cleaning. For the first time ever, I actually cleaned not just the whole room, but my ENTIRE dorm! I guess it really works best to just start sometimes. :)

One thing that worked for me is to search for what instant gratification you can actually get. So for me, I really work out to get nice and tired that day, so I can sleep really well. I used to stay up too late some times but since I did this I really started working out a lot more & enjoy it. Because I stop once I feel I'm tired, I don't set some goal of running a certain distance in a certain time.
Maybe it works for you too!
I wanted to add for the ''take small steps'' that if you aren't feeling it for one day, you can do something smaller even if you achieved something big the day before, it's ok
For example: walking, if you walked for 30 minutes one day you can walk for 5 minutes the next day without feeling bad for it, because for me it happened, and often is still happening that by not feeling great and missing a new habit for one day when i was working hard on it, it gets me really down and often it's the trigger that makes me stop doing stuff
For the seated dumbbell shoulder press, ensure your elbows are in (more like a 45-degree angle) not 90 degrees, to avoid injury. Proud of you for starting ;)

I have been where you have been so many times where I have ambitious goals but I never follow through. 2023 was the year that God gave me my change to start over and I was able to use those tips that you were giving. Even though my life is not exactly where I want it to be I am a completely new person now. My quote for the year is “Motivation is a false god. I've def made jokey comments on your channel before about my ADHD and how my life changed when I got diagnosed and medicated - so many habits and ways of thinking that have just changed so much! And I say this with all the love and respect in the world, and in line with your intentions to reflect and grow from here: have you considered looking into an ADHD assessment? I absolutely hate to be That Person just diagnosing people on the internet, and hey if I'm proven wrong then I'm happy to eat my words, but so much of your experiences reminds me of who I've been and things that I did not know for so long were reflective of ADHD. It's just a thought, and in no way meant to be disrespectful. It's not anyone's fault they suffer with this stuff, and I'm a believer we all should take all the help we can get

16:57 here's a little tip, when you're doing the Russian twists make sure your arms are staight. You don't have to lift your feet off the ground if it's too much, and you also don't have to get the dumbbell all the way on the ground, but if you want to challenge yourself then you should do those things.
