Gallagher "Winks on steroids" thanks for that. thats how I will always know him as
Winks is having a great season with Leicester who have just one the Championship. Gallagher is a much bigger, taller stronger more physical player than Winks. Gallagher was great for C. Palace scoring something like 8 gls and 3 assists. He's got 7 goals and 8 assists in all comps this season. He runs all day long, has an amazing engine on him and he breaks up opposition plays. He gives his defenders a sense of security, he's a worker bee who has end product. He hasn't even hit his prime yet, as he's only 24 and is already captain of Chelsea.
If Chelsea had a top striker this season they'd be fighting for top 4 easily. Their forwards Jackson and Sterling miss way to many chances and Chelsea are one of the teams that create some of the highest chances in the league. Chelsea's problem is that there are to many young inexperience players as they sold most of their experienced winners in exchange for young inexperience with potential. They don't have a proper striker but Gallagher has been their 2nd best player this season with Palmer being the exception.
There's too many question marks around them all for me. Think there's safer bets for the money. Raphina is the safest bet but only solves half of our winger issues. Toney, Nico Williams, Manuel Ugarte all potentially available, similar prices and solve more problems IMO

Raphinha is a Brazilian who's dream was to play for Barcelona and he hasn't had the best of seasons but has started scoring goals. History tells us that Levy will want to sign a bargain player on a low salary. Yesterday it was revealed that we're the 7th on the list of the highest squad wage bill in the Prem with Aston Villa in 6th place. This shows us that Levy has no interest in competing with the top 6 clubs. Aston Villa are showing more ambition than us and they'll strengthen again next season by adding more quality depth to their squad. I can't see Levy selling Johnson, Kulu, Richarlison or Solomon for that matter. It looks like Levy will be signing Werner who's a very inconsistent player. All, these players save Werner are on five year contracts and they all can't stay if Levy is to bring in new players. No, for me we'll most likely sign a young winger like Illing Junior, Antonio Nusa or Rooney Bardghji and some other players from lesser clubs around europe.
First choice for a striker I would say should be Ivan Tony.

On the plus side, if we are back in for Gallagher then it would likely have to be done before the end of June to help Chelsea with their financial issues, which would also be good for us as he’ll be in the door for a full pre-season

I'm not a fan of Gallagher. I think raphinia is not a great winger and is only looking to move because he's not Barcelonas first choice.
Gimenez a decent stricker but we're not gonna pay the money. I also question how much input ange has since we've been linked to raphinia and Gallagher for years

If I was the chairman ? I have two choices :
Back Ange with all my power meaning transfers , getting in the dressing room and telling the players to get behind the manager , do their very best for the club and the ones not being on board should speak up because complacency will be severely punished .
The second option would be to thank Ange and put everything into getting Xabi Alonso giving him total control and a significant budget to build the club . He knows German football , Spanish football and the prospect would make Tottenham Hotspur attractive. If Bayer Leverkusen want 50M€ compensation and some of our useless players ? I'd do it .
Where do we play gallagher. We have sarr, bentancur and bergvall who are all 8's. Gallaghers ability is his workrate and playing him at 6 would limit his strengths
I remember seeing Spurs win away at Chelsea.,I think we hit 3 or 4 goals that day.I remember Hoddle,Hazard and Maybe Archibald scored.Was it in the fa cup? It was over 40 years ago.COYS.
Is Gallagher a younger more mobile PEH?
Jimenez, Tosin, Ederson, plus Eze or Raphina as a winger.
Not sold on either of those names if I'm honest. Eze and Ederson more of a fan to boost our mid field and attacking options.
my concern with our system is, why can't we educate our players with regard to set piece defending, alongside Ange ball, the goal tally conceded from set pieces, surely warrants attention, but he appears to be so anti, my priority is a beast of a 6 a quality 9. Id have liked to have seen Poch with the same financial backing this guy is getting,. we've had Ossie ball, now we have Aussie ball version 2. lets hope it doesn't end the same way as version 1.
Gallagher isn’t a player I want, especially at the numbers being reported. However I can at least see how his energy and effort would fit in and he’s not bad in terms of ball usage and attacking output.
Raphinha would be quality but I don’t see it happening unless Barca essentially force him out because they need money. He’s definitely more threatening when he cuts in off the wing that Kulusevski and he’s got more pace about him too, I’d take him given the chance.
As for Giminez, I don’t know much about him apart from finding him on Football Manager 18 months ago. Bought him for spurs on there and he was good, never seen him play in real life!

Gimenez would be a good fit play wise but is he going to deliver in the Prem ?
Raphinia is a luxury rather than a good fit for the team .
Gallagher would be a squad player as he is no better than what we already have .
We need a top quality 6 more than anything else .
At the end of the day it's more what Ange thinks he needs to upgrade the squad in phase two pf the re-build .
As for the Chelsea game going into it under the assumption we never win there . But if we come away with something ( which we should ) then happy days . COYS

Love your shows. Always measured. Good guests. Fan of other Spurs groups too but feel sometimes they are OTT about Levy( yes a lot to answer ) but you get what you wish for. And he has created a sustainable football club.

Samuele Ricci. Think there is a left field choice like that in the works for DM. Manu Kone could also work. Just not that excited about Conor Gallagher.
None of whom will improve the team. The latest result against Chelsea proves we have serious issues from back to front which I'm sure will continue with losses against Liverpool, City and at least one of Sheffield Utd and Burnley. Only a complete squad overhaul will fix it. We need a no. 2 keeper 2xWB, a no. 6, a no. 10, 2x wingers and a CF. I would get rid of Forster, Royal, Davies, PEH, Bissouma, Kulu, Skipp, Johnson, Gil, Richarlison and Lo Celso.

I like Gallagher. From what I read Chelsea wanted to cash in academy player because the fee is 100% profit. Gallegher has an expiring contract. He is homegrown. Bissouma is too laid back, can't shoot, lack of defensive awareness. Gallegher is more like Cuti. Carragher was Everton fan playing for Liverpool. If Chelsea is determined to sell him, why not join Spurs.

Werner can get the next plane out when raphina gets to the byline far more accurate and precise than werner and a better finisher not Werner’s strongest points
No to raphinia or giminez they don't have prem experience and both come with reoccurring injuries I would much rather elize and toney but it seems levy just cant leave his same old tactic of the cheaper options

Raphinha the guy has 9 goals and 12 assists in 1700 mins and if you watch his stats he has a goal or assist every game he starts the games he doesn't he has played less then 40 mins in the game (So basically off the bench)

Not the 3 I want, both Gallagher & Raphinha are very good players but they don't fit exactly what we require right now and I have serious concerns about Gimenez, I just think he lacks the sharpness & physicality to be a top Prem striker. For me, Williams, Fofana & Solanke are the 3 realistic main targets we should go for and cover our major concerns.
Remember, we played basically a Luton "B" side at home and only beat them 2-1! There's probably a lot of second-string squad men in the CFC camp who'll want to make a name for themselves, they all love sticking it to us anyway so they'll have plenty of motivation.

Gallagher and Raphinha would be good gets. Not so sure on Gimenez, his form has dropped of a cliff this year and we've been burnt before with eredivisie players that look good.
Raphinha is fit to play at Newcastle, Villa and all the big 6 except City. But, Barça won't want to let him go cheaply.
