I've never used the Wii U version... I've seen videos of people using the cat paw and the light skinned human hand, but that was it, as far as I knew there were options but only two options

I figured that out before I realized that you can shake things to turn them into different variations.

I found that out before I knew that putting a power up on another power up makes it change depending on what size you are.

Back in the day i thought the mario maker hand was my own hand and the gamepad could see it or somthing i know it is really dumb but i was like 7 or something

@Carter what disgusts me about it is that there's so much *actual* racism and hate out there, yet things like 'video game hand' is what gets exposure. There are problems that urgently need to be 'exposed' and that wasn't one of them.
I really wished the final update of Super Mario Maker 2 would have this feature return. Kinda sad but at least we got Super Mario Bros 2 now (in a way)!
I did this while I was playing Super Mario Maker at a Toys R Us before it released, and the Nintendo worker guy there didn't know about it, and was surprised by it.

Another fun fact: if you don’t know how to make night time modes in super Mario maker 2 grab the sun and hold it and you’ll see a moon once you click on it you’ll now be able to make nighttime levels

Mario Maker 2 is an objectively better game, but I miss all the cool things the first game had that gave it a special charm. The hand, Weird Mario, and all the other little touches that made the game feel special.

I remember it being a genuine controversy when Mario maker was announced that the only hand color was “white” (I think it was actually a Japanese hand). So I’m not surprised they added it, but it kinda looks like they just adjusted the color of the same hand? 😂
