An in depth critique on how to set up your recurve bow for the first time, includes detailed instructions. See our range of equipment at www.redfrogarchery.com
No exageration to state that your videos are on a class of their own. Better than anything else on yT about archery. Wish I discovered your channel at the very start of my pratice. Superb stuff Thank you for sharing
What a top class clip for setting up a bow. I am new to archery been using some old bows but have now just ordered a nice new bow. This clip will get me set up in no time, BIG thank you
Just got the makings of a recurve barebow. I've watched a shitloads of setup videos. I wish this had been the first one I watched..... great fucking job, dude
Absolutely brilliant - just what I needed. I bought a SF recurve target bow and all the bits about 7 years ago with all the intention of starting archery, the club i had seen was more field archery club so i never even set the bow up!I left it at my misses house and only yesterday picked it up and brought it home! I needed this video to remember what I needed to do to set it up! Now I just actually need to find a club in South East London and start going lol
Thank you for the video. I wish I had seen this video when I started archery a year ago. Your clear explanation of the limb/tiller bolt adjustment is perfect. I will be sending this link to a few other archers who need to see it too.
Great video, my son and i took up archer a few months back, ic ordered two new bow kits, there is loads of help at the club and they would do it for me but id like to do it myself and then talk to them
coming back to this as I've just bought my first limbs. really useful to help tune everything. thanks. The only thing I struggled with was the brace length. mine is 8" and no matter how many twists or untwists, i cannot seem to make it more. I don't want to adjust the limbs as I have them set at the right tiller, weight atm. 68" + 25" setup.
@@redfrogarchery I've been thinking about getting my Hoyt Gold Medalist out. I have not shot in about 15 years. Your video brought me up to speed and I even learned a few things. I'm definitely looking forward to looking over more of your videos. Take care.

if the shaft is too stiff the spring tuning to softer, and if the shaft is too flex, tuning to harder..if I am not mistake..can you make some vid about actual center shot adjustment?...TQVM..👍
Yes but only if you do string walk. Theoretically when you string walk you're pulling from the center of the bow so both limbs must pull at the same time and strenght. If you use a split finger hook, you are pulling higher than the center, so your tiller must be a 1/8 closer in the bottom limb. But prolly you know this already because this comment it's 11 months old.
Thank goodness I found your video. I swear I’ve been looking for days to find a video that explains everything you cover in this video. Thank you!

I wrote how informative it was, just like the comment above. In my main comment. Sorry to waste your time

I heard for barebow you want the tiller to be even is this true ?
