It really does. 😂 That might’ve been why it got removed though, starting this area with humor would make this area appear less serious.
the title animation looks a bit unfinished tbh, there's no easing on the light bulb movement. possibly didn't want to try to make it look better.
other reasons could be it just doesn't really fit too well, it's not much but it still feels like too much of a ""grand welcome"" for a game like this. especially for the alternate title screens, no way this could work on 1 day left.
also its a bit long but can probably just skip it

You can get it as a mod for oneloader (the omori modloader), the mod should be called "Restored Title Intro"
4:47 but wasn’t this used in game? Like, I know this cutscene
It was used for the real world basil fight, but not for stranger- after you beat stranger the player is simply sent to red space, however the unused scene utilizes it as well, there were plans for the cutscene to be shown outside of that one fight
