  • Things To Do & Best Beaches In POREC, Croatia. Kroatien Istrien Poreč. Poreč, also known as Parenzo in Italian, has heritage from Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Austrian eras and some of the best beaches in Croatia. Porec is charming old costal town in Istria with 2.000 years of history and rich tradition in tourism, as the first tourist guide about Porec was printed already in 1845. The reason for the long lasting popularity of Porec is its natural beauty, rich history, great beaches and favourable climate for year round outdoor sporting. The coastline gets busy in the summer when camping areas, hotel resorts, marinas and beautiful beaches are full of life. But the real magnet is this old town on a small peninsula around an ancient harbour with beautiful waterfront. I’m Rok and I’ve spent last 9 years travelling around Europe as a tour guide and I want to show you my favourite Things To Do In Porec Croatia and some of the best Porec beaches.

    Literally every video I've watched from you is 10/10 and I am not even being generous. You do such a great job, probably the best of all CZcamsrs I know of. Yes, it's that good. You are super well educated, you are interesting, you know what you are talking about, you are a balanced mix of sounding enthusiastic but not too loud, your video footage is excellent, you look great. Man, you have it all.

    Poreč old town is small and nice with its narrow streets, many restaurants and small shops. But, the history makes Poreč a special one, and you can feel it when walking along streets with it´s old historical buildings. Poreč is a nice small town and it is worth to see, but one day is enough.

      Agreed. But as this is also a summer holiday destination people usually spend weeks here :)

    Thanks a lot as always for your perfect video guide! I have been to Porec a few times but only for the biggest tango festival, which means night-active and zero sightseeing. This time no dancing so I will follow your guide. Any sandy beaches for the spoilt tourists? Probably wishful thinking but you found some in other Croatian resorts so I still try... Also a vital thing to add for me, Croatia has very few vegetarian restaurants. Porec was no exception. I was always on bread, oil and cheese!

    • @rokgoesaround
      @rokgoesaround  Před rokem +2

      Thanks. You are right, there aren't any real sandy beaches around Porec. I think you should find some nice vegetarian option inside the old town, although you are right it is all about fish and meat. Have fun.

      @@rokgoesaround Came back, the only vegetarian restaurant in Porec is called ARTHA and is in the old town. They are doing a great job. I recommend!
