This truly is a professional grade camera. Shooting sprocket holes is reserved for high quality build camera bodies. Notice how the film take up (film advance) winds with the curl of the film, such as the pro camera system Canon F1, F1n, and F1 New. This is the mark of pro gear. The 1st generation Lomo Sprocket Rocket advances film in the standard way of most consumer/prosumer cameras, against the curl. Also, the custom color selection of the Lomo New version denotes professional gear. Notice the simplified multiple exposure mode on the New professional model Lomo. This camera literally makes a pro shooter out of a novice. One could leave their McDonald's job and go straight to work for National Geographic with this camera.
I think it helps, too, how much of the scene it captures and the optical perfection engineered into the lens.

I'm ordering a batch of it for my soon-to-be-arriving F1 New (returning from its CLA holiday up north). Both it and the film should be here about the same time this weekend. I'll just pretend I'm shooting a high-end Lomo Lime model since I can't afford one like you wealthy CZcamsrs.

I found a black one at a swap meet several years ago. For $5 I had to get it. I had basically the same results as you. Fun to use,but I wouldn't take it as my main camera for anything important. Another interesting Lomography camera is the spinner.
Yes! The Spinner. That's coming later this year, but I forget when. I agree, too, that these are fun to use and always creative and unique offerings. Lomography does that very well.

At the end of your tutorials you suggest not leaving the film leader out. Some people may still develop their film and opening a film cassette is a chore especially in a darkroom.
And so may i suggest, at the end of a roll of film leave the leader out, and to make sure you know it is an exposed roll, fold the leader back and number it on the film itself.
So far no accidents yet 🤞

I use my sprocket rocket every now and then and love it. In fact, I used it this morning at the beach. One thing though, you mentioned a couple of times that the cloudy setting was f/8. My documentation says f/10.8.
Oh curious. I wonder if I had different documentation or if there is some variation between the models.
I have used ISO 3200 indoors and early morning, and it works perfectly. I can verify your version 1 vs 2, as my first camera was black and was the only colour available, but my next two cameras were yellow and red and more colors like your green one was available. Fun fact: I still have all of them, use them with different types of film. One of them are features in my movie on panoramic photography on my channel, Key2adventure, a movie I made about a year ago, and I’m in the proces of making the contination of that movie.

Aperture settings are sunny (f16) and cloudy (f10.8) and not sunny (f8) and cloudy (f11).

Hi :) Nice video, explaining how this camera works. My new Sprocket, after taking it out of the box, did not "shoot"…. .. I noticed that there is a silver spring next to the shutter and I pushed it slightly with my finger, it jumped inside and now the trigger is already working at 1/100 and B. Maybe it was a factory blockade so that the equipment would not damage it during transport?

Thank you and yes, you just need the mask that makes the image area a bit smaller. I could not find it in time for this video (and still can't; I may have lost mine.)

Anyone know what happens to the lomography HydroChrome Sutton’s Panoramic Belair Camera(a bit of a mouthful). In Oct I saw lots of articles about it, but now that it is available I’ve seen no new reviews or articles.
