You want to be in Buford city schools
I have a special needs son and we absolutely loved the schools in both the Buford area and the Hamilton Mills area. Overall Gwinnett County is a great place to live.
Sarah, it seems the Peachtree Ridge high school rating recently decreased from 9 to 7. Is that due to the rezoning of the school district or other reasons? It is a concern for prospective homebuyers who values both school district and commute to Atlanta. Thank you
As a former teacher and when looking at the data, the two lowest categories are progress and equity. Given the school climate of the past two years and with so many students doing remote learning, I’m not surprised and would suspect many schools “rankings” will slip because of this. I used to work at a phenomenal school and out top score was a 6 at best. This schools housed the only IB program in the county. I would heavily rely on local knowledge and from other parents. Ratings are great and yet they are flawed. Thanks for watching!
