Regarding the bit about death and dying..........my background (life work) has been in hospice care. There is beautiful research now being done to lean in more deeply to listen to what those in the midst of the dying process are telling us. Specifically the research being done by Dr. Christopher Kerr and his team at Buffalo Hospice in New York on death bed visions and dreams might be of interest. Quite moving. In their published papers they also make a clear distinction between the qualities of a delirium and death bed visions and dreams. Acknowledging them not only helps the patient facing death but family (flowing into bereavement) and staff. It is also not unusual for the language to shift to a more metaphoric expression as people near death. Literal language not able to capture the ineffable experience they are immersed in. Also more research being done on that. The mystery of life never ceases to amaze me. For what it is worth.

I really like and enjoy your podcast, but why do you film your screen when having an online interview instead of just showing the feed itself? It looks really bad and can be quite distracting
I think Peter is great, but does anyone else get the sense he is just a hairs breadth away from a breakdown? He is obsessed with swimming, cycling, weights, hunting, race car driving… he has like 3 therapists… and takes a ton of supplements every day. I do think he is inspiring in many ways. But I think he is so obsessed with ‘optimising’ his life, I would like to hear him talk about how he manages his own mental health. Does he ever take the time to just sit and do nothing? Or does he ever allow himself to fall off the wagon and accept that that is ok? I just don’t think it’s healthy having such a ‘calculated’ approach to life
I know it’s a trend that everyone wants to run a “Joe Rohan” type podcast and talk about everything under the sun, but I hope this podcast stays with the medical field. Thanks
Allow me to clarify, there will be a new Heaven and a new earth and everyone will receive new bodies that will never decay. Either you will enter the lake of fire or you will enjoy the new earth for eternity!
I know this is heresy to say.. one should NEVER even THINK like this but... If the total amount of time you will EVER spend with your kids, is mostly done by the time they are 18.. what is the motivation of being so attached and involved when they are young? Is it the hope that the time investment will cause your kids to be different, and that they will want spend time with you as an adult? Or is it so much better than anything else you would want to do with your time? Unfortunately, I think your kids will have the same type of relationship with you that you have with your parents.. that is, it's fine, but they grow up, get married, move somewhere else have kids.. perhaps visit for a few days every other year. Your great grandchildren won't even know your name, so I don't see why optimizing your life for your eulogy is better than the impact Peter and his resume will have on the millions that he reached with his book/podcast. When it comes parenting, whether it's exceptional, or just mediocre, it probably doesn't make much difference.. ala the Gardener and the Carpenter by Alison Gopnik.
The 90% of time spent at 18 Is not to settle down with this fact, it is to do something about it What about be involved with your kids What about talk with them daily What about hear what they want to tell
Wow you get to interview Hugh Jackman and it only gets 22,000 views? Can you please try and interview Tom Cruise? I doubt you'd get it since it seems he only goes on talk shows, but please try.
Are you interested in immortality? Christ…I urge you to at least read the Bible. I once read, if you don’t know the purpose of a thing, eventually you’ll abuse it…that’s with Abby and everything including life…the wages of sin is death. Here’s the deal, if I’m wrong you have nothing to worry about, but if not, you have everything to worry about. If Yahweh exist (which He does) then the only thing that matters is confirming your life to that truth. The fear of god is the beginning of wisdom.
With his mum leaving him at a young age; he seek a mother figure subconsciously (which he found in his wife) I've listen to him talk about her n sometimes its comes off like a son talking about his mother, instead of, a husband talking about his wife. I think he has abandonment issues n he mentioned in another interview that even if a decision turns out to not be a great one, he'll stick with it. He married the first woman he meet on his first job without properly understanding this huge decision he was making for himself and the impact it would have on his mentality n behaviour. She n him were in different places in their lives when they met. He being 26 n her being 39. She couldn't give him biological children (not her fault) but if I was his mum or dad it would bother me. I mean it has to be something he thinks about. He will have no legacy to carry on his likeness on earth. Adoption is selfless n a beautiful things to give a child a home n family but his children CAN'T carry on his legacy through blood. When he dies that's it. His generation dies with him. If society believed in men having more than one women (wife), problem solved. Ijs🤔
Mr. Jackman does NOT need society’s permission to have multiple women. He has his OWN set of PRINCIPLES, INTEGRITY, MORALS and VALUES the SANCTITY of FAMILY. The deviants pushing multiple women are nothing more than fiends interested in recreating adult movie scenes. NOTHING to do with legacy.

I think Peter is great, but does anyone else get the sense he is just a hairs breadth away from a breakdown? He is obsessed with swimming, cycling, weights, hunting, race car driving… he has like 3 therapists… and takes a ton of supplements every day. I do think he is inspiring in many ways. But I think he is so obsessed with ‘optimising’ his life, I would like to hear him talk about how he manages his own mental health. Does he ever take the time to just sit and do nothing? Or does he ever allow himself to fall off the wagon and accept that that is ok? I just don’t think it’s healthy having such a ‘calculated’ approach to life

I know this is heresy to say.. one should NEVER even THINK like this but...
If the total amount of time you will EVER spend with your kids, is mostly done by the time they are 18.. what is the motivation of being so attached and involved when they are young? Is it the hope that the time investment will cause your kids to be different, and that they will want spend time with you as an adult? Or is it so much better than anything else you would want to do with your time?
Unfortunately, I think your kids will have the same type of relationship with you that you have with your parents.. that is, it's fine, but they grow up, get married, move somewhere else have kids.. perhaps visit for a few days every other year.
Your great grandchildren won't even know your name, so I don't see why optimizing your life for your eulogy is better than the impact Peter and his resume will have on the millions that he reached with his book/podcast.
When it comes parenting, whether it's exceptional, or just mediocre, it probably doesn't make much difference.. ala the Gardener and the Carpenter by Alison Gopnik.

With his mum leaving him at a young age; he seek a mother figure subconsciously (which he found in his wife) I've listen to him talk about her n sometimes its comes off like a son talking about his mother, instead of, a husband talking about his wife. I think he has abandonment issues n he mentioned in another interview that even if a decision turns out to not be a great one, he'll stick with it. He married the first woman he meet on his first job without properly understanding this huge decision he was making for himself and the impact it would have on his mentality n behaviour. She n him were in different places in their lives when they met. He being 26 n her being 39. She couldn't give him biological children (not her fault) but if I was his mum or dad it would bother me. I mean it has to be something he thinks about. He will have no legacy to carry on his likeness on earth. Adoption is selfless n a beautiful things to give a child a home n family but his children CAN'T carry on his legacy through blood. When he dies that's it. His generation dies with him. If society believed in men having more than one women (wife), problem solved. Ijs🤔
